Every year we see a huge number of biopics and historical films released by filmmakers around the world that are based on, or inspired by particular historical moments or historical personalities. We know the bigger titles like Gandhi, about the leader of India's non-violent freedom movement against British rule in the country; Titanic, the British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean; Les Miserables which is based loosely on French history after the French Revolution.
