I asked Cameron Hanes to be a guest on my podcast, perhaps talk about elk hunting and his new book Endure - he agreed with one stipulation - I had to do all of his normal training first... you know run 20+ miles, full lift sesh and shoot bows. He does this literally everyday of his life, how hard could it be? Well, he's on the podcast so obviously we both held up our ends of the deal. Cam has been a friend of mine since 2006. He's loved and hated - but ultimately he's UNDENIABLE! Caje Golden and his good friend Billy won the Alaska bear trip with the elk shape team and Hunting Fool. We are going to motivate you all to go hunt black bears in Alaska. This trip is all about great views with some great people. Jerrod Lile CEO of Hunting Fool has been on this hunt multiple times and showed us the ropes. He was also responsible for the internment as you will hear. Caje is a die hard bow hunter with lots of reps in the field. He has done this from being a hunting guide in Montana. The hole team lived on a boat for five days. Fish in the morning and hunt the later part of the day. With twenty hours of light you cane get a lot done. Some good shots were made and some not so good ones as well. Mentally once you know you have made a bad shot it is up to you to hold on to it or BODY SLAM it off. A fun and provocative conversation with my bowhunting brother from Wisconsin Dr. Czys. A no holds barred conversation around how to eat for wellness, health and longevity. I was invited to hunt South Texas with the Pnuma Outdoors Recon Team late October 2021. The initial invitation was for axis deer, hogs and possibly some whitetail does. I didn't flinch at the opportunity, especially since the hunt was at the end of October when I historically don't have much going on for hunts. This turned out to be one of the greatest hunts I've ever been on and I ended up shooting my biggest whitetail buck to date. Check out the lineup for the 2022 ElkShape Camp Season!
