The SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Festival was born, set to be held on August 6-9 for Rounds One, Two and Three with August 13-16 to hold Rounds Four, Five and Six, all at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. The fourth annual USAC Karting Battle at the Brickyard was held on July 31-August 2 inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Karters from all over the country converged into the famed Brickyard for what is know penned as the largest club race in the USA. From Briggs to shifterkarts, all enjoyed three days of racing around a super-fast circuit, gunning for a Brick trophy to take home. 18 different divisions were welcomed at the event, reaching over 430 entries on the grounds. Rob Howden and David Cole were trackside, but unlike other events, as they each competed in two different categories on the weekend. After a cancellation of the opener in March and postponement for their event in June, the series kicks off the season at what was originally schedule as the season finale. A record-breaking 223 entries will compete on July 17-19 at the New Castle, Indiana facility. Saturday evening, the duo sat down in the hotel lobby following a busy day on track to welcome a number of guests and discuss the latest news in the sport. Six-time world karting champion Mike Wilson was among the guests, including Mike Giessen, Chris Lobaugh, Chris Wehrheim, and Matt Jaskol.

The first ever taped episode took place on October 15, 2005 during the Stars of Karting event at the Iron Rock Raceway in Austin, Texas. Located on the airport grounds, the facility hosted the series finale, crowning the 2005 national champions. HMG owner Rob Howden Super Kart Illustrated editor Tim Blaney and EKN Managing Editor David Cole set up in the Champion Racing compound Saturday evening for the inaugural show. Champion Racing co-owner Rodney Berryhill was among the guests along with Stars owner Paul Zalud and ICC driver Ron White.
