The CKNA Grand Nationals 4 will take place on October 2-4 at New Castle Motorsports Park. Jasperson gives us the details of the upcoming event in New Castle, Indiana.

The return of the US Rotax Grand Nationals was marked with the 2020 event held inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway on September 17-19. It was a historic event, with the branded event making a return for the first time since 2018 and also marking the first time at the Concord, North Carolina on the newly repaved circuit. Five Rotax Max Challenge categories battled for the Grand Nationals crown, in addition to a Pro 4 Cycle category for $1,000. Nine tickets were awarded on the weekend to drivers joining the Team USA squad for the 2020 Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. For the first time since 2017, the United States Pro Kart Series hosted a race in the month of September. With the COVID-19 reschedule, the second event of the 2020 season was held at the CTECH Manufacturing Motorplex at Road America on September 4-6. It was the first visit for the USPKS at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility, welcoming the just over 160 entries in the seven IAME categories to contest the middle event of the championship chase. As the pandemic transpired, SKUSA had to adjust the 2020 program and came up with the unique opportunity to complete six rounds of racing in 10 days. The SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Festival was born, set to be held on August 6-9 for Rounds One, Two and Three with August 13-16 to hold Rounds Four, Five and Six, all at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. The fourth annual USAC Karting Battle at the Brickyard was held on July 31-August 2 inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Karters from all over the country converged into the famed Brickyard for what is know penned as the largest club race in the USA. From Briggs to shifterkarts, all enjoyed three days of racing around a super-fast circuit, gunning for a Brick trophy to take home. 18 different divisions were welcomed at the event, reaching over 430 entries on the grounds. Rob Howden and David Cole were trackside, but unlike other events, as they each competed in two different categories on the weekend. They were still able to breakdown the event in this new episode of the ‘EKN Debrief’ - thanks to Briggs & Stratton Racing. The EKN Radio Network dives into the ARCHIVES from July 8, 2006 as EKN was trackside for the Stars of Karting event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. Saturday evening, the duo sat down in the hotel lobby following a busy day on track to welcome a number of guests and discuss the latest news in the sport. Six-time world karting champion Mike Wilson was among the guests, including Mike Giessen, Chris Lobaugh, Chris Wehrheim, and Matt Jaskol.

The Leading Edge Motorsports owner has been a focal point at national and regional karting in northern California, working with countless drivers over three decades. Howden digs into the roots of Bell’s passion for the sport and how to thrive in an ever-changing industry.

The roots of karting are based here in the United States, and our passion for the sport has continued for many decades. Manufacturers here in the USA have come and gone, but one name remains from the past. Margay Racing has decades of history in the sport, and been a pioneer in development and the sport as a whole, adding in the latest expansion with Hoosier Kartsport under the company banner. The Ignite Karting program based around the Briggs 206 engine is exploding throughout the country, helping to bring new racers and old karters to the race track.
