How Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Fits In With the Star Wars Universe
It's time to finally accept that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge isn't going anywhere. Yes, it's an amazing experience, but we can accept this and still agree that it's out of place in Disneyland, can't we? Well, we're gonna try! Jason takes us through the lore of Galaxy's Edge and how it fits into the greater Star Wars Universe. We also talk with Nick and Rob from Bantha Milk podcast, about some of the characters inhabiting Black Spire Outpost. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #25
Much of the news lately centers around masks and the Disney Parks, so get ready to get funky with us! Jeremy is fresh off his trip to Walt Disney World, and he gives us his take on how safe WDW was. The Haunted Mansion That Almost (kinda) Was
Chances are, you've never heard a Haunted Mansion story like this one - we hadn't! In the 12 years that the greatest ride in Disneyland spent gestating, there were many changes made. Not only to the storyline, but the effects, the ride - pretty much everything was different by the time the doors opened in 1969 from Ken Anderson's initial meeting with Walt back in 1957. Why is this? Well, we dive into an alternate conveyance that we hadn't heard about, and how different that would have made The Haunted Mansion, but also how the Omnimover system (you know, the Ghost Mobiles) forced many of the effects to be reworked. We even hear from our friend Mr. Rolly Crump (via email)! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #24
As things are progressing (for better or worse) at Walt Disney World, there's finally some different Disney News to talk about other than how opening up a theme park during a pandemic is not the best idea ever. We get some chatter about the Shanghai Disney nighttime spectacular, some updates on mask requirements, and a story about someone being caught with not one, but two handguns at WDW. Shockingly, this person wasn't from Florida, further proof that these truly are strange times we're currently hurtling through. Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. The Best (and worst) Attractions in Each Land at the Disneyland Resort
The Disneyland Resort offers a lot in the way of attractions, but not all attractions are Imagineered equally. Brittany and Maddy join us in our quest to declare which is the best and which is the wort attraction in each land, and why. It's harder than you think, so play along and see if we're right or if we're really right! Plus, we have some Disney News to talk about! Learn more about your ad choices. EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #23
It's time for more Disney News! Jason and Jeremy are back with more news from the Disney family of parks and resorts! Or something like that. Jer keys us in on some Twitter drama involving the NBA and their take-over of the ESPN Zone, while Jason feels like yelling about masks. Yes, again. It's a thing and it probably needs to stop. What To Do At The Disney Resorts (Without Going Into the Parks)
There is so much more to the Disney Resorts than simply a place to rest up in between park hopping sessions. Today on the show, Jeremy from SpectroRadio leads us through several great activities that don't need park tickets to enjoy. Plus, we chat with our pal Tracie Timmer from the Walt Disney Family Museum again! Tracie gives us the details on their brand new app, as well as everything they have planned to celebrate Disneyland 65th anniversary on July 17th. Learn more about your ad choices. The History of Big Thunder Mountain
It's not often that Disney rides are steeped in a clash between Imagineers, but sometimes it's conflict that makes ideas happen. On today's show, we go into the history of Big Thunder Mountain and how this old western mine train came to be so haunted in the first place. We also talk about Disneyland pushing their opening date back, and all the drama surrounding Splash Mountain. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-depth | Episode #22
It's time for another round of Disney News, and boy, is there a lot to talk about. Hong Kong Disney is now officially open, and we go into detail on just why that was and why we are still waiting on Disneyland to crack it's gates, possibly. We talk about some news coming out of Disneyland Paris, for you continental types. Plus we talk about those "relaxation zones" that will be at Walt Disney World, and you can just guess as to what Jason thinks of them. Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. Top 5 Underappreciated Attractions at the Disneyland Resort
We all know the heavy hitters of the Disneyland Resort: Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, etc. But what about the rides and attractions that aren't given their dues? On today's show, we run through our top 5 rides and attractions that are underappreciated for one reason or another, and why we think that is. It's a good way to look at that stinker of a ride in a different way, and hopefully find a new way to ride it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Music of Space Mountain
Space Mountain is the total package: creative unique music unlike anywhere else in the parks, a thrilling ride that somehow always makes you feel like you are riding it for the first time, and a chance to wave at the CM in the control booth, only to have them never even look at you. Jeremy from SpectroRadio takes us through the music of this amazing ride, and we cover some short Disney News. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #21
Lots of news to talk about and yet, somehow, it's all the same. The Big Story coming out of Disney is the re-opening of Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. We also talk about the blow-back on social media (shocker) with regards to the mask policy, and how Hong Kong Disneyland is starting to prep for it's opening. All About The Disney Vacation Club
The Disney Vacation Club has long intrigued us here at EarzUp! - a timeshare program within the Disney family has GOT to be done well, right? Well, we're about to find out! Miles joins us to tell us all the details on the DVC and helps us sort out if it's the right thing for us to "invest" in. You might remember Miles from our "Modeling Disney" show way back in 2015, and in addition to being a wiz at 3D modeling, he also happens to be a DVC member! But before all of that, we talk with Nick and Rob from the Banter, Beskar, and Bantha Milk podcast about joining the EarzUp! family! Please find them everywhere you subscribe to pods, and follow them on all the socials please and thank you! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #20
It's time for more Disney News! Today on the Show, we talk about what an open Disneyland Park could actually look like, and how Disney is giving back with it's latest merchandise offering. Plus some other nonsense that escapes me now. Side note: this photo has nothing to do with the episode. I just really like it. Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. Let’s Plan A 3rd Gate At Disneyland
The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is lacking in space - that's nothing new. Even so, we decided to throw logistics to the wind and come up with our own ideas for a third park at Disneyland! Where would it go? That's for other minds to figure out. We're just here to do some armchair designing! Plus, we chat with Tracie Timmer, Senior Public Programs Coordinator for the Walt Disney Family Museum, on their new "Happily Ever After Hours" virtual series of talks with various Disney luminaries. It sounds like a great program - and it's free! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Music of the Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is really all about the music. Some of the most iconic songs in the Disney catalog come from this movie, and today, Jeremy from SpectroRadio takes us through them. From conception to demo to final draft, it's surprising how little they changed, to be honest! So grab your forks, comb your hair, and get ready for the only way to be drug down into the sea ... listening to The Little Mermaid! We hope you are all staying safe and washing your hands! Photo: "Magic Happens" parade, courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

How To Stay Sane At Home During Quarantine
There was a lot weird about this show. Recorded about a week into the mandatory shelter in place here in the Bay Area, Terrence and Beverly were calling in as we discussed ways to try and forget being locked up at home, even if for a little bit. So we cover the obvious like Disney Parks walkthroughs, but also dive into the world of live zoo cams, plus some other fun stuff! You can find the links to everything we talked about on this blog post here, called "19 Things To Do While Quarantined At Home (That Aren’t All Disney-Related)". Hope it helps! EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #17
Jeremy and Jason are back with all the relevant Disney News! Both US Parks are closed, so even though the coronavirus seems to be dominating the news cycle (which is probably a necessary evil at this point), we do have to touch on it a bit. We talk about our own personal quarantines, as well as some plans for upcoming entertainment on EarzUp! and SpectroRadio. It's not all doom and gloom today, but some of it is I guess. We do our best to bring some laughs! Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Preparing For a runDisney Event
Even though Disneyland doesn't do them anymore, we always liked the runDisney events, but outside of our own personal experiences, we knew very little about them. So we invited Erik from our very own "Drinks at the Disney Resorts" blog, and our official travel partner ConciEARS, to come on the show and give us not only a short overview of what to expect from a runDisney event, but how to plan for it! EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #16
The only Disney News show you need is back, folks! We have some great stories for you, but this episode is mainly about the big Bob vs. Bob conversation happening online, as Bob Iger officially stepped down last week and appointed Bob Chapek as CEO. What does this mean for you? Probably nothing. What does it mean for Disney fans on the internet? Probably TOO much. Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. The History of Autopia
Today Bev takes us through the history of Autopia! She also tells us about her trip to Magic Mountain and if it could ever be a replacement for Disneyland. Now if that shocks you ... check out the prices for Magic Mountain Parks and tell me you aren't curious. Plus, Jeremy from SpectroRadio visits us and tell us all about the music of the old World of Motion ride at Epcot. New character additions and storytelling enhance the classic attraction Autopia at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. Honda's ASIMO humanoid robot and its robotic friend, Bird, will now join guests embarking on the ultimate road trip. The new look for Autopia recently debuted in spring 2016 with cars repainted in Honda colors, and new fuel-efficient Honda engines, badges and tires. EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #15
If you want to see the best of Disneyland, like the new "Magic Happens" parade, be prepared to pay more than ever, as both Disneyland and Disney World rolled out new pricing structures recently. We also talk about, the coronavirus and its impact on Hong Kong Disneyland, and some current lawsuits happening now. It's all exciting, as usual. Disney’s Trackless Ride Systems
Most of the rides at Disney Parks have tracks - steel tubes or rails that our ride cars glide (or bump) over. Some of the world-wide parks actually have some pretty amazing ride systems that do NOT have tracks. This innovation in other parks eventually led us to Rise of the Resistance, so we suppose it's ok that we had to wait for so long to get a truly cool trackless ride. Sorry Luigi. EarzUp! In-Depth | Episode #14
Some big news this week, as Jason and Jeremy are back on the air. We talk about the coronavirus and how it's impacting the Asian Parks, as well as less life-threatening news about the new "Bambi" remake. Why is it happening? Why is any of this happening? Who knows, but we'll talk about it all - and more! Photo courtesy of Disney Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The History of Tom Sawyer’s Island
Tom Sawyer's Island at Disneyland is one of those great places to go with small kids to let them loose for a bit. It's also a great place to take in some spectacular views of Disneyland while avoiding the large crowds that tend to roam New Orleans Square from time to time. Today, Taren takes us through the history of this crazy island, plus we have Terrence with another installment of his new segment, "She Gone". Rich Hurrey Talks Computer Animation

We aslo breeze through some Disney News, and remind everyone that our Mai Tai glasses are currently on sale - but for a very limited time! Learn more about your ad choices. One Day In Disneyland
Photo courtesy of Disney Way back in the year 2013, on our very first show, we broke down our top fie things to hit and five to miss at the Disneyland Resort. A lot has changed since then, but have our recommendations? Today, under the premise of us having a friend who was going to the Parks for one day only and could never return, we give our top five rides and attractions to hit, and our top five to avoid at all costs. How have we changed since 2013? Find out! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth: #8
Jeremy and Jason are back, digging into more Disney news! Jason somehow just discovered that people still care about Columbus Day (and even get it off!), and that Disneyland gets packed during this time. Who knew? Finally we get into some of the more recent news in the Disney world, like how the new Maleficent movie isn't performing well, and Oga's Cantina in Star Wars Land is now accepting reservations 60 days out from your visit, which is crazy! There's more, so tune in and get informed! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

How the Anaheim Halloween Parade Influenced Disneyland
As often as we hear the origin story of Disneyland repeated, rarely do we hear just how the Anaheim site was chosen. Could it have been something to do with the new "freeway"? Or perhaps something else? Taren started this show as a dive into the history of the Anaheim Halloween parade, but maybe she uncovered something else ... Plus - Jeremy from SpectroRadio joins us to give his impressions on the finale of the Illuminations show in Epcot, and if it's replacement lives up to the grandeur! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth #7
We're back for another set of Disney news stories! Jeremy starts off talking a bit about his recent trip to Disneyland Paris, and the dives in to the news. Over at Walt Disney World, they are cutting some live performers from the Parks, and a missing park visitor was found on a "trip" of their own. Jason tells us about how Bob Iger recently admitted he was interested in Disney purchasing Twitter, but he had second thoughts due to the users of the platform. Then we talked about Disney trying to re-define how TV and film producers are getting paid. Good stuff. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Music of The Lion King (1994 Version)
Scoring a major motion picture like "The Lion King" has got to be a hard job, but it seems like the music of "The Lion King" had more riding on a great soundtrack than, say, "Mary Poppins" . Not only do you need to portray the emotions that ebb and flow during the plot, but you need to accurately portray the films surroundings, culture, and Disney magic. The Lion King does just that, and who better to tell us all about it than Jeremy from SpectroRadio! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth: #6
We're back, with four news stories and tons of opinions! Jason talks about a 34-year-old free ticket to Disneyland and, oddly enough, another ticket option to Walt Disney World's Halloween Party. Learn more about your ad choices. The History of America Sings
Disneyland has been known to shuffle attractions around between it's parks. Just ask the Main Street Electrical Parade! Today's show is about what fills a void when something leaves the Park. "America Sings" was a show that replaced the "Carousel of Progress" after it's move to Walt Disney World. Terrence takes us through the history of America Sings, from its inception, to it's removal, and beyond. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

EarzUp! In-Depth #5
Coming off a slow news week, Jeremy and Jason somehow persevere, overcoming all the odds, to bring you four stories that are sure to supercharge your next Disney conversation! Or something like that. Jeremy tells us about the new Christmas offerings at Walt Disney World this year, and covers the booze scene in Star Wars Land. Jason talks about the "really cool" things that Annual Passholders are getting now, and the new Universal Studios theme park that was just announced for Florida. Learn more about your ad choices. Tokyo Disney’s Nightfall Glow Parade
"Nightfall Glow" is a special parade - one that you might never get to see, even if you travel to the Tokyo Disney Resort, because it's a parade specifically for those rainy Tokyo nights. Yep, there is a parade that only runs when it rains out. Crazy! Of course, Jeremy leads us through this very short parade, and then he stays on to do some Disney News with us. The "Us" is only Taren and Jason, as both Bev and Terrence are off doing Bev and Terrence things. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
