Today on the show, Jeff welcomes Alex Montalenti, the founder of Real Grader to talk about the awesome Instacard. Don’t miss out. Alex shares his story and how he got started in real estate which all started with his Mom coming to the US from Romania. “48% of realtors say keeping up with technology is their biggest challenge”, says Alex. Alex went to the University of Vermont and took a class called, “Entrepreneurship 101”. He shares about his first project there building a website for a city in Vermont; That opened the door for him to start Burlington Internet Company building websites. Alex has always been solving problems for agents in the industry on the tech and internet side. He previously had a branding business also. “Submit your listings” is another business he had that took off but they couldn’t keep up with it as “kids working out of a garage”. “In 2018, he and his business partner built a software to measure 181 data points and tells you how you’re doing online and then built a way to fix it and then share the information. What is the Instacard? You can text it or share via QR code. Alex talks about how it went viral. Why are paper business cards not effective? Jeff asks Alex at the time he created Instacard, who the other players were in the market. Alex and Jeff talk about the benefits of Instacard including that it is a fraction of the cost of a website. Rachel committed to learning Social Media on her own before it was as big as it is now and the referrals have grown and grown.
