Ep 190E150 - We'll have to politely pass on this one

For the first time ever we have been denied for an interview request. The story is about how DOT’s around the country are selling your personal data for money. A practice that many think is wrong and should stop. The cannonball run has a new speed record. No, not by Burt Renyolds. And we open the listener mail bag. Ep 189149 - The water on planes is so unsafe, you shouldn't even wash your hands with it.

There is a new study that finds that the water on board most major airlines that is served to passengers is so unsafe that you shouldn’t even wash your hands with it. The shocking discovery was made by Hunter College’s Food Policy Center and Diet-Detective.com, who investigated the water quality of 23 different US airlines. I interviewed Dr Charles Platkin, the Executive Director of Hunter College’s NYC Food Policy Center to talk more about this. Tesla has a futuristic truck with a major demonstration fail. What are the best large and medium sized airports in the country? And we open the mail bag. All that and more on the Driving You Crazy Podcast. Ep 188E148 - If the driver is distracted then any accident could be argued an on-purpose

Should we increase fines for distracted driving or install more red light cameras and take the revenue to improve intersection safety? That is the argument we discuss after reading an article suggesting more red light cameras makes cities safer. Some people should not start off a phone conversation with the “hey, it’s me”. Why were you speeding sir? I was trying to get home after spending time with my mistress. And the regular guy should be off on holidays. All that and more on the Driving You Crazy Podcast. Ep 187E147 - Is it time for public trasit to be free?

What would it look like if every city had free transit? Would you ride it more often? What would it cost? Is it a worthwhile idea? One person who has looked into this idea is Rosalie Ray. Rosalie is a Ph.D. student in Urban Planning at Columbia University. She received her B.A. in Economics from Smith College and her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA. Before going to UCLA, she worked as an economist at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Rosalie’s past research explored the prospects of fare-free transit in the United States and that includes a chapter in the book… Free Public Transit: And Why We Don't Pay to Ride Elevators. Is that a chicken on your shoulder or are you just driving drunk? And this has to be one of the most head scratching stories we have ever talked about. The tale of the cat switcheroo. Ep 179E139 - It's hard being a father in 2019

We all know that the roads and bridges and infrastructure around the country needs major improvement. Ep 177E137 - No super commuters don't wear a giant S on their chest

Have you heard of a super commuter? They are people who commute 90 minutes each way in a car or with transit. Chris Salviati, housing economist with ApartmentList joins us on the show to explain all about why these people commute so far. When you live a life of crime you should not be surprised when your getaway truck gets stolen. New 3-D scanners in airports should allow us to keep our shoes on and take more than a thimble of water past airport security. How would you like to get a ticket from a drone that saw you speeding or not using your signal? It is happening in Spain. Nicole talks about the stories she covered on the morning show about fewer people are using their turn signals and about a new Reason Foundation study showing the states with the worst road conditions and congestion. What if you could turn in other drivers for driving badly and in return you get a lower insurance bill? All that and more on the Driving You Crazy Podcast.
