Carnivore Community Meeting with Dr Sanjeev Balakrishnan
Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr Sanjeev became a qualified doctor in 1999 and then obtained a Master of Medicine in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 2012. After migrating to Australia in 2014 he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. He is a fully credentialed Family Physician in Singapore and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). While training to become a family physician in Singapore, he sat in with an endocrinologist who was treating T2D patients, after a few weeks he realised that every patient who was seen was increased in their medication and when they would return a few weeks later, there would be more medication increases. No one was getting better. This created a passion to find a better way to treat diseases like T2D, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome etc. Dr. Sanjeev started researching and discovered low carb/ carnivore/keto diet treatments which made more sense to him than the traditional treatment models. He is passionate about management of obesity, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome through the scientifically proven low carbohydrate-high healthy fat diet. He has helped many diabetics go off their insulin injections by just showing them how to eat the right way. Low carb nutrition is transforming the lives of his patients.
