When tonight’s guest, Eric Baird, was really young, he was playing in a back bedroom that had been converted into a playroom, at his grandmother’s house, when a Dogman paid him a visit. The experience caused him to have nightmares for years after that. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be his last encounter with a Dogman. You see, Eric and his family lived right next to the Talladega National Forest, in Alabama. Being a kid who grew up in the country, when he wasn’t doing chores around his family’s property, his favorite pastime was spending time in the woods. A lot of good things can come from doing that, but a lot of bad things can also come from spending that much time in a huge forest, like that, where strange creatures lurk in the shadows. Tonight’s guest, Walter Ricci, is an avid fisherman. He loves nothing more than to head to a remote location, with his dog, where the fishing is good, and putting a line in the water. Well, on April 17th, of this year, Walter decided to try his luck at a very remote spot he’d never been to before. The place is called “9 Mile Cove” and it’s located on the shore of Lake Mohave, in Nevada. It’s such a remote spot, it’s a good hour, by car or truck, from the nearest town. After arriving there, Walter was surprised to see that he and his dog had company. At first the only unexpected company he had was the two women. Not long after that, he saw that another unexpected visitor showed up. It was a huge Dogman that was 5 to 6 feet tall, even though it wasn’t standing on its back feet! Tonight’s guest, Gregory Keith Brooks, grew up running around in the woods, with his friends, by Nonconnah Creek, in Shelby County, Tennessee. He was a kid of the 70’s and 80’s. Back then, he loved nothing more than seeking out new adventures with his friends, Bear and John. One day, in 1985 or ’86, when Keith, Bear, and John were trying to figure out something fun to do, they decided to dig a cave. After looking around for a good place to dig one, they decided to dig into the side of a cliff and downward and started to make their cave. Every night, Keith and his friends would work on digging that cave. After digging for several nights, they had made a void big enough for all of them to fit in. They called it the genesis room. After completely digging out the genesis room, they decided to keep going and make another room. One night, while Keith and John were sitting outside of the mouth of the cave, next to a fire they had made, what had been a great experience, up until then, suddenly changed. All of a sudden, a bowling ball-sized boulder hit the cliff, above the mouth of their cave and then fell down right in front of the entrance to their cave. When that happened, Keith and John looked at the boulder and then, they shifted their attention to the direction it had been thrown from. To their horror, they suddenly came to the realization that a 7 ½ to 8-foot tall creature, that looked like a Werewolf, was standing just 10 feet away from them, staring at them. As if the situation Keith and John found themselves in wasn’t terrifying enough, what the creature did next took the terror they felt to a whole new level! Premium memberships are now available! When tonight’s guest, Paul Chafin, was 15 years old, he went on a hunting trip in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky, in Pike County. He had decided to walk way back into an area of the mountains where he hadn’t gone, many times, that day. Feeling tired, Paul decided to sit down and lean up against a tree, so he could take a nap. Unfortunately, he overslept and by the time he woke up, nightfall wasn’t far off. Due to how long it had taken him to walk back to where he was, in the mountains, he panicked. He panicked because he knew he’d never be able to make it home before dark. He was even more concerned when, after walking a short distance, he saw that he wasn’t alone back there. He saw a Dogman that was walking a path that intersected the path he was on. The experience Paul had that day, with that Dogman, left him rattled but unharmed. It lit a spark in him, however, that lead him to make learning as much as he could, about Dogmen, a priority in his life. Since Paul came on Episode 354 and shared the details of that 1st encounter he had, he’s had several more experiences. Tonight’s guest, Doctor Rainman, is a Tuscarora shaman who was born under the sign of the raven, people of the west wind. Doc has been in a few movies. One of the movies he’s in is “Tecumseh, The Last Warrior.” The experiences he had, making that film and others, cross his mind on a fairly regular basis. Tonight’s guest, “Mark,” grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, roaming the acreage on his grandparent’s farm. Their 667 acre farm was located in the foothills of the Ozark mountains. Back then, “Mark” loved nothing more than exploring the woods on their land, looking for his next adventure to pursue. It was a vast, wild, area and from time to time, “Mark” would hear strange, frightening, vocalizations that he couldn’t identify. As fate would have it, one night, around midnight, he was walking down a dirt road on the farm, with his brother and cousin, when all of a sudden, they saw a Dogman just feet away. Everything was fine and “Mark’ wasn’t afraid, until his cousin decided to pick up a rock and throw it at the Dogman. After his cousin did that, “Mark” was afraid! Tonight’s guest, Jason Vick, was 4 years old when he had his first encounter. The night it happened, he felt unsettled and afraid, so he asked his mother if he could sleep in her bed, with her. When tonight’s guest, Simon, was 26, he was approved for a mortgage on a property of his own. To celebrate, he went to a nearby pub, with his uncle. Instead of that night being celebratory, after they left that pub, it wound up being anything but. Simon had his 2nd encounter on New Year’s Eve, after leaving his friend’s house. You see; that friend lived on the other side of a large woods from where Simon lived. To go to that friend’s house and return home, he would just cut through the woods. The night he had this encounter, he’d stayed at his friend’s house later than he planned. He had taken the shortcut, through that woods, several times before but that night, things were going to be different. Much different than it had ever been, when he’d walked home through those woods. Tonight’s guest, Mick, was born and raised in Ireland, but in 2001 or 2002, he met a man from Slovakia, and it wasn’t long before the two of them hit it off and became good friends. Well, in 2004, that man got married and invited Mick to his wedding, in the isolated village, in Slovakia, where he was born and grew up. Slovakia is a beautiful country, with ancient forests and sights to die for. Knowing about what Slovakia had to offer someone, like himself, who had an appreciation for nature’s beauty, Mick was really excited about the trip. After arriving there, however, instead of having a great time, he had a Dogman encounter that terrified him so badly, he still has a hard time talking about it, 20 years later! Tonight’s guest, Jess, had a Dogman encounter within the city limits of Norwalk, Ohio. She was walking in a small woods that a lot of residents there walk through on a regular basis. The day she had that encounter, a lot of other people were in and around that woods. For years, tonight’s guest, Heather, worked 3rd shift, as a bartender. Countless listeners have expressed their desire to have a Dogman encounter, since the inception of the show. It’s a source of frustration for me, because of the emotional trauma such an experience can inflict upon an eyewitness. A perfect example of this is tonight’s guest, Mike. If you knew where a pack of Dogmen or “Werewolves,” as tonight’s guest calls them, were living, would go to that area and seek out encounters with them? On October 15th, of 2014, tonight’s guest decided to do some afternoon deer hunting, so he took his bow and headed for a tree stand, on the back side of his mother’s 5-acre property. After sitting in the stand for hours, he thought it was strange that he hadn’t seen any animals. Around 6 PM, he found out why he hadn’t seen any animals. After deciding he was going to head back to his mother’s house, he suddenly heard something walking toward him. As he listened to whatever it was walking toward him, he suddenly realized it was walking bipedally. When he realized it was walking bipedally, he figured it must have been his next-door neighbor coming to check on him. Soon, though, he saw that it was a dark figure. One of tonight’s guests, Shawn, has worked as an archaeologist for over 15 years, in densely forested areas. In that time, he’s worked in some pretty unusual places and has experienced his fair share of unusual things. Tonight’s guest, Allan, has lived in Livingston County, Michigan all of his life. He lives in a beautiful area, that has a lot to offer someone, like Allan, who’s addicted to spending as much time, as possible, in the woods. That area has a dark secret, though. You see, 1 day, when he was 14, he was hunting on his grandfather’s 70-acre property when he had his 1st Dogman encounter. Luckily, he was able to shake that encounter off, before long, and before long he was back to spending time in the woods. About a month ago, however, he had an encounter with a massive Dogman that wasn’t so easy shake off. He had that encounter while he was up in a tree stand, hunting coyotes. The floor of the stand was 10 feet off the forest floor. The day this encounter happened, nothing out of the ordinary had happened. It wasn’t any different than the countless times he’d sat in that stand, while hunting. That is, nothing out of the ordinary happened, that day, until he felt and heard something sniffing his lower leg. Before tonight’s guest, John Kershaw, had his 1st Dogman encounter, he thought the idea that they could be out there was a complete joke. Well, 1 day, when he was fishing from his kayak, in a river system, in Western Sydney, Australia, he had an experience that changed his paradigm on their existence. 3 days after that, he had another encounter. That time, after hearing something that he could tell was ambulating bipedally; something that he could tell was heavy as a horse, he saw the source of those heavy footsteps. It was a 10-foot-tall Dogman. Luckily, John was able to pull his phone out and snap a few pictures of it. Tonight’s guest, Jeremy Wilson, is a police officer and when he was 12, he went with his brother to stay with his grandparents, on their leather leaf fern farm, in Volusia County, Florida, near Pearson, Florida. It was spring break, of 1985. Like they’d normally do, Jeremy and his brother had gone out, after dinner, to spend more time outside before it was time for them to come in for the night. They were in the backyard area of the farm, standing on a dirt road back there, when all of a sudden, they heard a pack of hunting dogs coming their way. The dogs were being very vocal, and it was clear that they were on the trail of something. Not long after the boys heard the dogs, they heard the voices of a group of men that were following the dogs. It was around 8 PM, so dusk had already set in. When the boys had 1st heard the dogs, they were far off in the distance, but they kept getting louder and louder, as they approached, tracking whatever it was they were on the trail of. Before long, the boys saw a dark shape come into view, running through the ferns. To their surprise and shock, the dark figure ran onto the dirt road they were standing on and stopped. The boys had been expecting one of the animals that were known to inhabit the area to appear. None of the animals they were expecting to see run on their back legs, though. This creature WAS running on its back legs, when it appeared. None of the animals that were commonly found in the area, around the farm looked like a Werewolf. This creature did! After stopping on the dirt road, creature looked back, in the direction of the approaching hounds, and then guess where it focused its attention. Yep. In 2019, tonight’s guest, Jason, had a few days off work, so he decided to drive to Eastern Kentucky and look for a nice place to stay, for 3 to 4 days, to unwind. He wanted to be close to nature, so he decided to stay at a remote lodge, in the Appalachian Mountains. Jason had heard about sightings of strange creatures in the Appalachian Mountains and was hoping to join in on the action. Unfortunately, the adage, “be careful what you wish for” has a lot of truth to it, as Jason was going to find out. If you saw a Dogman that looked like a giant hyena observing you, from a distance, would you try to go make contact with it? Tonight’s guest, William Harris, grew up in a very remote part of the Smoky Mountains, in North Carolina, next to the Tennessee border. In fact, the area where he grew up was so remote, it was cut out of the wilderness just 60 to 70 years before his family moved there. William grew up fishing, hunting, and exploring the mountains around his family’s farm. Consequently, he had a very good childhood. While it’s true that he had an idyllic childhood and grew up in a beautiful area, there was still dark side to living where he did. You see, from a very young age, he was warned not to be outside after dark, because the Wooly Booger would get him. Of course, that sounds like something kids are told to scare them into being good and doing what they’re told. Sometimes, though, there’s truth behind warnings, like that. Unfortunately, William found out, the hard way, that there definitely was truth to that warning, on more than 1 occasion too! In fact, when William had 1 of the encounters he’s going to talk about, on tonight’s show, his uncle was with him. In early September, of 2005, tonight’s guest, Jill, was driving home from work, around 11 PM, when the unthinkable happened. It was a beautiful night, and the stars were out, in Michigan, where she lived. Jill had her window down and was driving slowly, enjoying the ride home. When she was approaching the road she lived on, she noticed that someone had left a lot of trash, out by the road, for refuse collection, the next morning. Next to where all of their trash was piled up, was a yard light. That yard light was lighting up the trash fairly well. As she drew closer, she noticed a large bear digging through the trash, looking for food. She wasn’t in a hurry, so she decided to roll to a stop, next to the bear and observe it. Friends and family used to excitedly report seeing animals to her that were native to Michigan that they didn’t see often, so Jill thought this would be her chance to let them know she’d seen a bear. When she stopped her car, the “bear” was merely 5 feet from her, as she watched it through her car’s open window. When she did that, the bear stopped rummaging through the trash and slowly raised its head, to look at her. When it did that, Jill realized the huge mistake she’d made. What she was looking at was no bear. The only appellation she could think of to properly describe what she was looking at was “Werewolf!”Premium memberships are now available! Tonight's guest, wished to remain anonymous. Therefore, she went by the name “Sundown,” in the interview.“Sundown” was driving home, 1 night, near Mountain Home, Arkansas, when the unthinkable happened. Her kids were in the backseat, and she was driving down a country road, when all of a sudden, she saw a huge, black, canid, laying on the road, up ahead, in her lane. What surprised her most about the black canid was the fact it was 3 times bigger than any Saint Bernard she’d ever been around or seen. She came upon the creature so quickly; she didn’t have time to swerve or hit the brakes. All she could do was grip the steering wheel tighter and hope for the best. The next thing she knew, her car was airborne. Even though all, 4 wheels came off the ground, due to her driving over the huge, black figure, miraculously, she landed in her lane and never lost control of her car. Thinking that any problems that might have arisen from the situation were over, she breathed a deep sigh of relief. Little did she know, her Dogman problems were just starting! It's 1 thing to have a Dogman encounter when you're out and about, but when you run 1 over, with your car, and it follows you home, that's a different matter, altogether!Premium memberships are now available! Maine has 17 million acres of forest, 3,500miles of coastline, 6,000 lakes and ponds, as well as 5,000 rivers and streams that are filled with salmon, trout, bass, pickerel, and perch. The terminus for the Appalachian Trail and 92 miles of the Allagash Wilderness are also in Maine. In fact, Maine has the highest percentage of its land covered by forests, compared to any other state in the union. 90% of the state is covered by forests. Those resources make for a very welcoming habitat for Dogmen, unfortunately, as tonight’s guest, Mary, found out 46 years ago. You see, Mary lives in the beautiful mountains of Western Maine and 1 evening, just after dusk, in 1976, she was driving home, after dropping her husband off at work. She was driving down Route 2 West, through deep forest, and no other cars were in sight. It was nice out that evening, so she had her window down. She was driving slowly, enjoying the drive, when all of a sudden, she felt an uncomfortable chill to the air. Mary believes that what she did next saved her life. Tonight’s guest, Maury Golden, comes from a family of truck drivers. His cousins drive truck, for a living, his father drove, and his uncle did too. Even his grandfather and great grandfather drove over the road trucks, for a living. Between all of his family members who make a living behind the wheel of a truck or made their living behind the wheel of 1, there are a lot of amazing experiences to share. None of them compares to the experience Maury had, late 1 night, at a lonely truck stop, in Alabama, though. Maury found himself standing face to face with a 600-pound Dogman and as if that wasn’t bad enough, the Dogman did something that made the experience even more disturbing. It did something Maury didn’t know it could do. What it did next just made Maury’s encounter that much worse. Maury’s encounter only lasted about 10 seconds, but he’ll be the 1st to tell you, it seemed to him like it lasted for 10 minutes. He was only about 15 steps from his truck when it happened, but he felt so exposed, he might as well have been miles from it.We hope you’ll tune in and listen to Maury chronicle what happened to him, that night. When tonight’s guest, Rory McGoldrick, was in his teens, his father relocated the family to Georgia. Not long after moving to Georgia, with his family, Rory started to notice something very unnerving. Late at night, while playing video games, back then, he started to hear tapping sounds on a window by where he’d sit. Rory describes what he’d hear as sounding like a nail tapping on the glass. This went on every night, for months, before it stopped. He never did pull the drapes back, to try and see what was doing it, because he didn’t want to know what was doing it. The tapping made him very uneasy. He always felt like something was watching him or at least listening, trying to determine what he was doing. Not long after experiencing those nightly visits, Rory was playing with his friends, in a neighbor’s backyard, 1 day, when all of a sudden, they noticed what they initially thought was a bear, staring at them, intently, from a short distance away. It didn’t take long before they realized this was no bear, however. Rory estimated the creature’s weight as being around 800 pounds and making matters worse, whenever any of them would move, it would follow that kid, intently, with its eyes. That wasn’t going to be the last time Rory would have an encounter with a Dogman. Unfortunately, more were yet to happen. Tonight’s guest, Karac St. Laurent, considers himself to be a cryptozoology researcher, but he majored in Anthropology, at Keene State College, in New England. Soon, he’s going to be teaching cryptozoology courses, at the Housatonic Valley Regional School, in Connecticut too. Karac’s been researching cryptozoology, seriously, for about 15 years now. While he’s interested in learning what he can about cryptids and the experiences eyewitnesses have with them, all over the world, he’s particularly interested in cryptid accounts from Africa and Australia. He’s produced 3, feature-length, cryptid documentaries, but he’s here to talk about his most recent project. It’s called The Manwolf Files. The Manwolf files is a docuseries, that’s available on YouTube, that takes an objective look at whether Dogmen are really out there or not.
