As the Catholic Church opens a crack for the possibility of same-sex marriage, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints doubles-down on temple marriage between a man and a woman. Those who advocate to "just wait, things will change" are replacing Hope in Christ with Hope in Change. Sealings and temple marriage are all part of the Doctrine of Christ and the doctrine of the Restored Gospel and Church. God's "Patriarchy" is part of what was lost in the time of Lehi, the Plain and Precious things. It is restored in 1 Nephi 1, Moses 1, and Abraham 3. God has a Patriarchy. It is His order, priesthood, and word. Abraham chapter 3 helps define this Patriarchy with the parallelism of cosmology and spirits. This is the "DBR" of God. Kolob is simply the beginning of the order. When Lehi says, "There must be opposition in all things," he is not speaking of just opposites. He is speaking of everything in between. This allows for order, truth, and hierarchy/patriarchy. The adversary wishes to "flatten the hierarchy" of God and to create a forced outcome, "Equity." If so, we can look at the Children of Israel as not being willing to rise up Sinai to "see the face of God" like Moses. Rather, they bring God down to their level and mold Him into their own image with their own hands. We can see their golden earrings as the philosophies of men or the current ideologies of the world. Much of Christianity, including many members of the Church, has already melted the gold and softened God/Jesus to be a Teddy Bear Jesus.
