The search for Nikki Wilhoite begins after a friend calls police when Wilhoite didn't show up for work. A Boone County deputy conducts a welfare check at the Lebanon farm owned by Wilhoite and her husband. Andrew Wilhoite says he last saw his wife around 11pm the night before, sleeping on their couch. He says the couple had a fight. Wilhoite says that sometimes his wife leaves the house when the couple argues, but she usually returns the next morning. As police search the farm, they find Nikki’s purse inside a car parked in the garage. Three South Carolina teen girls accuse the same man of raping them. Bowen Turner is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, but the outcome in this case has caused much outcry. While awaiting trial, Turner is held on house arrest with ankle monitoring. Court documents state that if Turner violates his bond, he is to be immediately taken into custody, but reports show that Turner violated that order more that 50 times, even crossing state lines without being taken into custody. One case was dropped when the victim died. In facing the other charges, Turner accepted a plea deal. He pleads guilty as a youthful offender to first-degree assault and battery. At sentencing, Turner is given five years of probation, and does not have to register as a sex offender. Lori Vallow Daybell will stand trial for the deaths of her two children. On Monday, an Idaho court found Lori Vallow Daybell fit to stand trial. Seventh District Judge Steven Boyce ordered Daybell’s release from the Department of Health and Welfare after reviewing three evaluation reports. Daybell has been undergoing treatment since last summer, but she will now be be transferred from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to Fremont County police’s custody. Daybell arraignment is April 19. The two children, JJ and Tylee, vanished in September, 2019. Three people found dead at a Georgia gun range. The owners, 71-year-old Thomas Richard Hawk Sr., his wife, Evelyn Hawk, and their 19-year-old grandson, Luke Hawk, found shot, in what authorities say appears to be a violent triple murder and robbery. Richard Hawk, Luke’s father, drove to the shooting range to check on his son and parents when they did not come home. He found their bodies on the floor several steps away from each other. Police said about 40 weapons and a security camera recorder were reportedly stolen. Local police, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms are investigating. Investigators say two masked suspects can be seen on security cameras outside the rural home. Minutes later the electricity is cut, and the door to the home forced open. The Reads get into an argument which spills over to include Kyle Carruth, Christina Read's boyfriend. It's all caught on video. During the extended shouting, Carruth goes inside a residence and returns with a rifle, telling Chad Read to leave. Seeing the weapon, Read appears to tell Carruth he'd better use the gun or Read will take it and use it on him. Bumping chests, the men continue to shout at each other then struggling over the weapon. When Read is a couple of feet away from Carruth, Kyle shoots Read, killing him. By all accounts, Jordan DeMay was a well-liked, sports star at his Michigan high school. The 17-year-old committed suicide last week, just hours after someone demanded money to keep a compromising photo from being sent to his parents and friends. The extortionists initially contacted DeMay over a fake social media account, posing as a teen girl who sent him a nude picture. Jordan reciprocated. The photo then became the center of a sextortion scam. The perpetrator pressured DeMay to pay to keep the photo private. The teen sent $300. The perpetrator wanted more. The search continues for missing mom Cassi Carli. The 37-year-old was last seen Sunday evening in Navarre Beach, Florida Carli was supposed to pick her daughter up from her ex during a custody exchange at around 7 p.m. Three hours later Carli had still not returned home. Her father received a text saying she was having car issues and running late. The next day he called police. Since then, Cassie’s loved ones haven’t heard from her. Her car was later located in an adjacent parking lot, with her purse still inside. Police have found the body of missing teen Naomi Irion after receiving a tip that led them to her gravesite.18-year-old Naomi Irion was last seen on security footage, sitting in her vehicle while waiting for the shuttle she takes to work at Panasonic in the Reno-Sparks area. The footage also shows a man walking from the direction of a homeless camp and lurking among the parked vehicles. Naomi’s brother, Casey Valley, says that security footage seemed to show the suspect saying or doing something that made Naomi move from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat. Irion was in the passenger’s seat as the man drove away. Investigators found Naomi’s blue 1992 Mercury Sable on March 15 at the Fernley industrial park.Police arrested Nevada man Troy Driver in connection with Naomi Irion’s disappearance. He has been charged with first-degree kidnapping with bail set at $750,000. Arizona police are searching for a person of interest after a deceased newborn was reportedly found in a McDonald's bathroom. Surveillance video shows a woman entering and leaving the restroom just before the baby was found. Police are not saying she is the mother, but do want to question her. The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced the baby boy dead after responding to a call at a Phoenix McDonald’s. An autopsy is pending. Pamela Smart will not be getting out of prison. For the third time, the convicted murderer requested a hearing for a sentence reduction and for the third time, the request has been denied. Smart's request was rejected in a 5-0 vote by a New Hampshire state council. Even though Smart denied plotting to kill her husband, she was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and other crimes, and sentenced to life without parole. Gregory Smart was shot and killed by a15-year-old student with whom Pamela smart was having an affair. Smart was 22 and working as a high school media coordinators. 19-year-old Kaitlin Benjamin-Olsen looks like a typical 19-year-old. She has hazel eyes, strawberry-blond hair and wears glasses, but despite her age and appearance, Kaitlin has the mentality of someone much younger. She is mentally disabled. In the first week of February, Kaitlin and her 21-year-old brother met a man at their local Family Dollar Store in Fayetteville North Carolina. Kaitlin's mother, Lisa Benjamin, says she believes her daughter met the man on Instagram. The only thing Lisa knows about the man is his first name, Chris. It's believed that Kaitlin left her home in the middle of the night, lured from her home. Her mother believes the man made promises to Kaitlin to convince her to leave. Law Enforcement says Kaitlin's phone pinged in Miami on February 7th or February 8th and in Orlando, Florida on February 15th. Todd Mullis calls 911 as he drives his wife to an Iowa hospital. Amy Mullis was found by the couple's 13-year-old son, impaled on a corn rake and does not survive her injuries. An autopsy is completed and the forensic pathologist finds not four puncture wounds in Mullis' back, but six. The corn rake Todd Mullis says his wife fell on, only has four tines. Also, while Mullis told police he had a good relationship with his wife, investigators learn that Amy was apparently unhappy in the marriage and had at least two affairs. She reportedly told a friend that if Mullis caught her he would “throw her to the pigs.” Court documents showed Amy Mullis called a friend petrified and screaming that Todd Mullis had found out about her affair. A rancher finds Gabriel Quintanilla beaten, in a field outside McAllen, Texas. The 42-year-old dies of blunt force trauma to the head. An investigation uncovers a warrant for Quintanilla on charges of continuous sexual assault of a child and assault, family violence. This is after Quintanilla's 9-year-old daughter accuses him of inappropriately touching her.Police said the girl's teen stepbrothers, Christian, and Alejandro Trevino, learn of the accusations and confront Quintanilla, leading to a fight. Quintanilla reportedly then left the area on foot. A second fight occurred when Christian Trevino allegedly chased Quintanilla.At some point, Alejandro Trevino arrived in a car driven by friend Juan Eduardo Melendez, 18. The two other teens reportedly joined in on the attack. Quintanilla was then attacked a third time. Police believe brass knuckles were used. Barbara Maier Gustern was shoved from behind outside her Chelsea residence. Friends found the well-known and beloved voice coach in the apartment lobby covered in blood. A bicyclist spotted the injured 87-year-old on the street and brought her in. Gustern hit her head during the attack and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. She ultimately passed away from her injuries after being placed on life support. Now, a New York woman is facing manslaughter charges. Police released security footage of the incident, which showed Lauren Pazienza reportedly shoving Gustern before running away. Police, also say the suspect returned to watch, as the victim was carried away by ambulance. Police had been looking for Pazienza for weeks when she arrived at the police station Tuesday with her lawyer and turned herself in. Pazienza reportedly hid at her parents’ house. 18-year-old Naomi Irion was last seen on security footage, sitting in her vehicle while waiting for the shuttle she takes to work at Panasonic in the Reno-Sparks area. The footage also shows a man walking from the direction of a homeless camp and lurking among the parked vehicles. Naomi’s brother, Casey Valley, says that security footage seemed to show the suspect saying or doing something that made Naomi move from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat. Irion was in the passenger’s seat as the man drove away. Investigators found Naomi’s blue 1992 Mercury Sable on March 15 at the Fernley industrial park. They said evidence inside the car suggests that a crime was committed. Naomi is described as a white female who stands 5-feet-11-inches tall with green eyes (one eye is green and brown). She has dyed black hair, according to her family, who created a GoFundMe page to help with search costs. 25-year-old Nicole Sinkule slept while her boyfriend plotted to kill her. Eric Marum hit her with a claw hammer more than a dozen times. Marum pled guilty and received a sentence of 16 years to life in prison. In November, two members of the California Board of Parole granted him a recommendation for parole. One member voted against parole. Now Nicole's parents are asking Governor Gavin Newsom to deny the recommendation. Newsom has three options. If he takes no action, Marum will be released. If Newson reverses the decision, Marcum will receive another hearing in 18 months. The last option is to refer the decision back to the board for the members to modify their decision. Empire co-star Jussie Smollett is out of jail while attorneys appeal his conviction for lying to police about a hate crime attack against him. Smollett began serving his 150 day sentence last week, even as he steadfastly denies paying two men he knew to stage the attack, as a special prosecutor contends. Days after the actor began his sentence, Smollett was put into protective custody in the Cook County Jail, and then his brother, Jocqui Smollett, and his attorneys claimed that he had been put into the “psyche ward” because of fears of self-harm. Cook County police said the Smollett was being housed in an area for inmates who need extra treatment for mental health issues but said it was also used for “extra monitoring.” Smollett’s attorneys asked the court to release the actor pending appeal, arguing that he would complete the sentence by the time the process was completed. They also cited homophobic threats received by the actor in their request for emergency release. The special prosecutor responded to the motion by saying it was “factually incorrect.” Two of the three members of the appellate court agreed with Smollett’s attorneys and said he could be released after posting $150,000 personal recognizance bond, which means he won’t put up any money but must guarantee he appears in court as required.
