<p>A covenant is based on trust; a contract is based on distrust. A covenant is based on unlimited responsibility; a contract is based on limited liability. A covenant cannot be broken if new circumstances occur; a contract can be voided by mutual consent.</p>

<p>Jesus starts the Sermon on the Mount with a description of kingdom people; a people of character who will live differently than the world around them when it comes to dealing with issues like anger and sex.</p>

<p>If we understand our identity as salt and light, we will have a profound effect in a broken world.</p>

<p>In the broken world we live in, we will all have an opportunity to make a choice to stand up for righteousness and be a peacemaker.</p>

<p>The world today is desperately looking for justice. Jesus in the Sermon on the Mountain gave us three beatitudes that give us guidance on how to live justly in a broken world.</p>

<p>In order to move ONWARDS in the things that God has called us to do, we need to choose not just what is good, but what is BEST!</p>

<p>Each one of us has been given a race to run by God. It is discipline that determines how we finish. Discipline is choosing between what we want now and what we want most.</p>

<p>And God blessed them. And God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.</p>

<p>It is natural to desire the approval of others, but if we choose to live for "likes", we will not fulfill the purpose God has for us.</p>

<p>God has been good to us in 2016 and as we look forward into 2017 He is calling us to press onwards together in this journey of faith.</p>

<p>A gift reflects personality, resources, commitment, thoughtfulness and sacrifice. Ultimately it is an expression of love. When God gave us Jesus, it truly reflected God's great love for every home in the world.</p>

<p>There is nothing like coming home for Christmas and being welcomed with special preparations made with you in mind. Jesus went to prepare the ultimate home for all of us.</p>

<p>In a broken world, it is possible to lose your way. The wise men gave us a lesson in faith in how to follow God’s light to the ultimate home.</p>

<p>Christmas is about love coming down and touching every home. It is a faith-filled story with love flowing from the characters, which leads to the climax of God’s love in sending His Son.</p>

<p>In chapter four we find the Epitaph that Paul chose; “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”</p>

<p>In chapter three Paul speaks of perilous times in the last days that will require the believer to live with courage. Fourteen times in this little letter Paul underlines the need for courage.</p>

<p>In the second chapter, Paul challenges Timothy to be strong and give his life away. God has wired each of us in such a way that we are most fulfilled when we are giving our life away. In this message, you will discover the rewards of this radical lifestyle.</p>
