<p>There are many names that describe the attributes of our Heavenly Father, and one of these attributes is that He is a God of righteousness.</p>

<p>Pastor Ken Shigematsu from Tenth Church in Vancouver shares a special message with Coastal Church.</p>

<p>As we walk out the Christian life, we have this thirst to be pure and more like God. This hope to be pure comes from the Holy Spirit and God has promised He would empower us to live a life of purity in a broken world.</p>

<p>We live in a world today where people are struggling to find their identity. An identity crisis can be described as a period of uncertainty and confusion in which a person’s sense of identity becomes insecure. As a child of God, we have a powerful identity which gives us both security and clarity in our lives and we live under the banner of God’s love.</p>

<p>Names are powerful! When we study the names of God, we begin to understand his nature and character, or how He can help in a time of need. In this message Pastor Fermin talks about Jehovah Raah - which is derived from the Hebrew word meaning "shepherd". This analogy is used many times in the bible, and is an illustration of God's desire to protect us, guide us and meet our needs even when we've gone astray.</p>

<p>The world tells us that freedom is doing whatever we want, but the Bible teaches us that true freedom is found when we submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus and the authority in His name.</p>

<p>The Lord’s prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13, is the model or pattern of prayer that Jesus taught us. Jesus didn’t say “pray these words”, but “pray this way”.</p>

<p>Prayer is the detonator to the dynamite of God’s power, we do the detonating and God does the exploding. The prayer of Jabez is one example of the powerful effective prayers found in the Bible.</p>

<p>In order to develop contentment in our lives we need to learn what to do when we find ourselves alone.</p>

<p>Insecurity is something we all struggle with to some degree. Our feelings of insecurity are related to our sense of identity, how we see ourselves and how we think others see us. The movie Wonder conveys the truth that we all need love and encouragement from family and sincere friends when we feel insecure.</p>

<p>Achieving peak performance in your life is not enough to make you content. No matter how gifted you might be, contentment is found when you honour the Source of the gift and live in harmony with others.</p>

<p>The Bible tells us to be content with anything, even when there is calamity in our life. The movie "Inside Out" shows us that joy in this life can be real, even when mixed with harder memories and experiences.</p>
