<p>Dear God, Why Do You Allow Suffering?</p>

<p>Ruth is a love story on a number of levels, but most of all it is a story that shows we are accepted and loved by God the Father. This story teaches us that God provides a way for those who trust Him in hard times, whether it be a famine or a pandemic.</p>

<p>The question is not “how do we get out of this crisis?”, but rather “how do we come out of this crisis?”.<br><br>Perhaps, now more than ever, we must know what it means to live by faith, that unwavering trust in God. Along the way we will have to remove some roadblocks to our faith.</p>

<p>We are living in unprecedented times where we have found that our normal routines have been shaken. We are living in a “new normal” and in order to run this race with endurance, we will need to pivot and develop a new rhythm.</p>

<p>Today the whole world is walking through a valley. For those who have Jesus as their shepherd, they will sense His peace guiding them in these dark days.</p>

<p>As the Coronavirus continues to gain momentum in Canada, it is important that we prepare our herts as well as our homes.</p>

<p>In times of uncertainty we need to remember God’s promises for us as we walk in faith rather than in fear.<br><br>God made a special covenant with Noah, and Jesus made a special covenant for us.</p>

<p>As Noah and his family were able to rise above the flood waters, you too can rise above the challenges of life by putting your faith in God.</p>

<p>Jesus draws a direct parallel between the depraved time in Noah’s days and what it will be like just before His return, when once again His grace will be extended to all.</p>

<p>One of the many distinctions found in Genesis, is that we are made in the image of God and it is with us He desires to walk.</p>

<p>When others succeed, we can either admire and emulate them, or as Cain did, we can allow envy to grow.</p>

<p>Satan’s attack on our first parents began with an attack on God’s word. To walk in faith trusting God’s word brings the intimacy of God’s presence and the bounty of His provision.</p>

<p>From the beginning God’s design was that mankind would have a relationship with Him and with others.</p>

<p>Genesis teaches us that there is an alternative to a life of chaos, disfunction, isolation, and fear.</p>

<p>As we go into 2020, we can have a strong hope for the future knowing that the presence of the Lord will always be with us. One of the names of God is, “Jehovah Shammah” which means “The Lord Is There.”</p>

<p>Shortly after God had brought His people out from Egypt, He revealed Himself to them as their Healer. He had already proven Himself to them as their Deliverer, now He reveals Himself also as their Healer with the name Jehovah Rapha.</p>

<p>We all, at some point in our lives, will face a situation where we need God’s provision to have enough to meet our needs; whether it be financial, physical, relational or emotional. God has promised He will provide, and His name Jehovah Jireh reveals that character of His nature.</p>
