Barcelona's football director Mateu Alemany looks set to join Aston Villa this summer after deciding to leave the Spanish giants this week. It's the start of May now and we still can't quite believe what we're seeing from Unai Emery's Aston Villa. The transformation in the fortunes of the club from November to now cannot be understated, and whatever happens in the final games of the 22/23 season, Villa fans have a team they can be proud of. There were a handful of players at the end of the Steven Gerrard era that you may have thought weren't good enough to mount a charge on the Top 6 and needed shipping out. Jude Aston is an 18 year old Aston Villa fan. He’s dealt with the challenges of Cerebral Palsy for as long as he can remember. After developing complications after an operation, his right leg was fused in an upright position towards his chest, causing severe pain. In December 2022, he made the decision to have his leg amputated in the search for a new life of independence. Less than 4 weeks later he was back at Villa Park to watch his beloved AVFC.
