Let's have some real talk. More than likely, the dream God placed in your heart of your entrepreneurial calling is going to take a while, which means you are going to be tempted to quit because it is taking too long. It may even feel like God forgot about you. But rest assured He has not. Everyone's dreams take time to manifest, and there are neither magic pills nor secret techniques to speed them up. The main techniques you need are simply trusting in God and having patience. As you follow God in leading you towards your dream, you will grow the skills needed to take hold of the dream and conquer it. Don't give up. Every day you will get closer, and at some point, after diligence and faithfulness, you'll be only one day away from manifesting the dream.

We deserve success because God loves us; however, God doesn't just hand success to us. We access the success God has for us by following the process. Everyone has a unique process, which is the set of instructions God has given to us to implement the calling He has placed in our heart.

To truly achieve great success, we must believe deep down in our hearts that we deserve success. If you feel you don't deserve it, you will unconsciously sabotage your success and not have the necessary faith to receive success. The reason you deserve success is not because of what you did or didn't do. Rather, it is because God loves you.

Just because you started a particular business or ministry that failed, doesn't mean you should not try again. Failure comes mainly because we lack the anointing. Therefore, if God is speaking to your heart to go back and restart a failed project, then this time it will work because you will be doing it again with the anointing.

I have found that many believers are waiting for permission from a human authority figure (pastor, boss, parent, etc.) to get going with the calling God has given them. Yes, we need counsel from other people, but not permission. The only permission you need is from the Holy Spirit.

One of our biggest challenges as entrepreneurs is success. This is a challenge because it is a test of authority. If we contribute our success to ourselves and our own actions, then we are challenging God's authority in our lives. Human language has only a fraction of the communication power as God's spiritual language. Therefore, God's word cannot be directly represented in a one-to-one representation of human words because our words are limited. His words are spirit and our words are natural. After many years of studying tithing, I have come to the conclusion (based on the Word of God) that tithing is not an obligation to new testament believers, but a choice. It is a choice that must be done in faith rather than out of obligation. If you tithe because you feel obligated, you nullify the blessing of the tithe. Full faith is knowing the what, why, and how of the calling God has given you. However, most of us don't have full faith; we have partial faith. Partial faith is knowing what God has called you to do but not being sure why or how to do it. To move from partial faith to full faith, we have to act on the partial faith we currently have. As we take steps (though these steps might not be quite right) in partial faith, we grow to full faith.

As we are engaging our entrepreneurial calling throughout our life, it is unavoidable that we will experience the deaths of loved ones. In those times, a deep sense of loss and depression can rush over us and cause us to stop pursuing our calling. Therefore, it is important and comforting in times of loss to see death from God's perspective. Over the past few weeks, the idea that God desires for us to co-create with Him has been rolling around in my spirit. I noticed from word that instead of following God or being a head of God, He wanted us to be by His side creating with Him. This means there are some decisions in our calling that He wants us to make. Therefore, sometimes when we are not hearing God and He is silent, He is giving us space to make our own decision. We must be really careful not to deviate from the calling God has given us because our protection and success lies at the center of His will for our life. When we deviate from our calling, even for noble reasons, we open up the door for destruction in our life.

As I was sitting in the carpool line, waiting to pick up my two daughters from school, the Holy Spirit placed this thought in my spirit: "own your story and don't try to fit into someone else's story." You see, God has given each of us a unique calling and a specific way to achieve it, which is our story. If we become envious of another person's story and try to emulate that story, we will crash and burn. Success comes when we own our unique story. Lack is like a storm that is trying to knock you off your game. What game, you say? The calling God has given you. When lack comes in a like storm, you feel like you are drowning, so you begin thinking of things to do to get out of lack. You consider two or three jobs, side hustles ... anything that can bring in more revenue to get yourself out of lack. But here is the thing; everything you do outside of your calling takes away from that calling and slows down your eventual success (the real key to getting out of lack). As believers with entrepreneurial callings, we desire to see people discover Jesus through our work. But how does that happen? Some people believe that serving and loving people through our work is enough, and that indirectly they will eventually come to experience Jesus. However, others say that you have to be more bold and direct. Is there a correct way? Well, there is one way for people to be saved, but many ways to warm them up to consider the possibility of accepting Jesus.
