EThe ladies talk Essence Fest and Michelle Obama’s speech on finding a partner who compliments you. The group speaks about how awesome you would have to be to compliment the president. The ladies highlight Pink Cole, Clark Atlanta University alumni and owner of slutty vegan who has seen major success in the last year. Pinky along with other entrepreneurs got to shine this year at Essence along with our favs Missy & Kim. Candy wants Missy to do a collaborative album with all her faves . Now that would be a great idea! Our #CareFreeBlackGirl of the week is Regina Hall with her awesome hosting performance at the BET awards. Offset really stood out with his choreographed set. Kudos BET y’all did great. One time for HBO the Black Lady Sketch Comedy show featuring Quinta, Issa, Amanda Diva and all the other dope women taking part in the series. We are living for the black girl magic on screen. Cidnee and Candy got to catch up on Pose and now they are hooked. For those not in the ballroom community the show has been a great eye opener. On the last day of pride Lil Nas X came out as queer and we are so happy from him. A lot of people spoke up in support of him and his music while a few had a lot to say. Lil Nas handled everything with grace and we are rallying behind him with support. For Our Get Free segment - we spoke about ASAP Rocky’s arrest in Sweden. The family is asking for the support of the community to help him get free . But a few people are still upset with his comments towards Black Lives Matter a few years ago. Everyone is talking debt cancellation and we are ready.
