S17 Ep 161S17 Ep161: The Interview-Tracy Fahey~ The Magic of Irish Banshees and Footsteps on Ceilings
This week our guest is Irish Gothic Horror Author Tracy Fahey! Hooray! And BEWARE dear listeners-in this episode you will hear: how Tracy's ancestry practically screams for her to be an uncanny author...how living on/near a graveyard is maybe not the best idea...how ancient ways and ancient gods still roam the lands of Eire...how footsteps on ceilings and rooftops can become humdrum...how the Era of the Hag is upon us...that great Goddess of Land and Water and pretty much everything? She's here to stir things up and bitch slap us for all the ways we are destroying this world and eachother.Whew.We sure did talk a lot about so many ideas near and dear to my heart...but really, as long as I know there are no monsters under my bed, or demonic dolls in my closet? I'm good.To check Tracy out and read one of her delicious tales click here.To say that I couldn't stop thinking about the short story I found on her website would be an understatement and to whoever bought the option for it? BRAVO I SAY!! BRAVO! You clearly have good taste! (or demented taste, but who's judging? Certainly not me!)Thanks for listening you all and I'll see you next week for another sweet or terrifying or inspirational or magical episode! Cause at this podcast? We're full service! And with that I'll see you around!

S16 Ep 160S16 Ep160: The Interview: Gary Simonds ~ The Miracle of Conversations in Hospital Waiting Rooms
Hello babes! This mid-week miracle is brought to you courtesy of neurosurgeon Gary Simonds! As someone who worked in the field of trauma, in the emergency rooms on the brains and spines of those who had been in catastrophic car crashes or suffered gun violence, Gary has much to share on what is most important in those spaces. This episode he talks about the families in the waiting rooms and how sacred each conversation with them is. Despite having the worst day of their lives and whether Gary delivered good news or bad, the families were there each and every time, awaiting news of their loved one.Gary is an author, a speaker and did I mention a brain surgeon? This conversation ranges-and we talk ancestors, being present to those suffering, how Gary found his calling and how he managed the stress of operating on people who were at death's door. He talks about burnout and how nurses are the ones who are the true powerhouses in our hospitals...and how hospitals don't give them the respect they deserve. We cover much in this episode and I hope you enjoy it!To check out more by this wonderful human, visit his website!Music Attributions:Earthquake (A Tribute To Nepal) by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/399-earthquake-a-tribute-to-nepalLicense (CC BY 4.0): https://filmmusic.io/standard-licenseImagefilm 004 by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/149-imagefilm-004License (CC BY 4.0): https://filmmusic.io/standard-licenseProxima Centauri by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/566-proxima-centauriLicense (CC BY 4.0): https://filmmusic.io/standard-licenseMusic (CC BY 4.0): Mandela by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Dont Cry (alternative) by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Believe In Me (instrumental) by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Carol Of The Stars (feat. S16 Ep 159S16 Ep159: The Interview: Katarina Polonska~The Magic on the Dance Floor!
Hello babes! This week in honor of Valentine's Day...(I know, I'm late to the party but at least I showed up...late...) I'm interviewing Katarina Polonska, who, after working with CEO's and other high-performing people realized that they needed help in another part of their lives...finding love! (and best friends...and partners in crime, because quite honestly, that's what I'm looking for, a partner in crime!). But it's the story of how she arrived at this work that is the miracle this week! (HINT: it's called surrender!)Through a series of heartbreaks and frustrating setbacks Katarina came to a place of understanding, and that's where her miracle was...and that magical, transformational place is with her still and serves her very well-and can work for you too, as long as you are willing to...what? Surrender! (Gah, the notion of surrendering gives me hives BUT I know that it's what's called for!)To read a bit more about my courageous guest Katarina, here is her website! And to see this gorgeous human in action here is her YouTube! So many people are creating such new and gorgeous content and I think it behooves us to understand that with all this content the world is hopefully becoming more beautiful! (and more filled with love!)Thanks for listening and remember to share this pod with friends...and as usual, I will be ever so grateful!See you later this next week for a mid-week episode...and until then? S16 Ep 158S16 Ep158: The Interview: Janet Davidson-The Magic of Knowing (when to cancel or not cancel a film shoot!)
Janet tells several stories this week-and all are super fun!! (at least for me...when I dropped down into the pandemic several of the shows she worked on were balm for my soul during those first dark days...Remington Steele among others!)Janet tells of her magical sense of knowing and sensing what needed to be done to save the day on the set-as well as how as a child she wanted to be an actor...and how that dream wasn't to be (except at the last minute on an episode of Cagney and Lacey, but we will get to that later!) You'll feel like a fly on the wall as she speaks...and shares her memories of how she changed Hollywood forever for other women. She is a true trailblazer and someone who redefined what being female in the film industry meant! I am so grateful she agreed to tell her stories on the show. For Janet's website click here! For her delightful book, Snow White Bites Hollywood...then Hollywood Bit Back, click here!Janet's a fellow Pisces and so models fierceness and giving no "f's!" We need more women like her-clearing the way for the rest of us, so that we can shine!Remember dear ones, share the podcast with others this week-this is your weekly homework! Ha! Yes, I know I'm always asking for something, I'm like that bad penny that endlessly turns up! But I just think more people should know about this pod and the happiness it brings to the world! S16 Ep 157S16 Ep157: The Interview: Chaplain Roger Butts~ The Miracle at the End of the Prayer
It's time for another mid-week episode, and I dearly hope you all aren't getting podcast fatigue at this point, or are tired of hearing of miracles and magic! I am ever so grateful to each and every one of you who listens, and it's such a happiness that I get to meet people who are doing good works, talk to them, and then bring their stories to you! This episode my guest is Minister and Chaplain Roger Butts, who tells a simple, yet powerful tale-one I don't want to ruin by spilling the beans...but suffice it to say it takes place in a hospital with one frail and elderly patient, and the truth and beauty she brought to the end of her life. (as well as to Roger who was lucky enough and blessed enough to be present to her). I hope this story reminds each and every one of you to embody gratitude each and every moment! To read a bit of Roger's writing on his blog, "The Chaplain's Corner," click here: https://contemplativelight.org/blog-roger-butts/To check out Roger's book, "Seeds of Devotion," click here: https://www.amazon.com/Seeds-Devotion-Weekly-Contemplations-Faith/dp/1951694368Lots of my guests are bringing such beauty into the world, and sharing their ideas and words through their writings...which is exciting, because we need diverse works for diverse peoples! Not every author's idea is going to resonate with everyone, so having lots of different viewpoints is essential! Thanks for your ratings and reviews this week...Attributions:Chord Guitar 001 by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/556-chord-guitar-001License (CC BY 4.0): https://filmmusic.io/standard-licenseMusic (CC BY 4.0): Schools Out by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Imagefilm 017 by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Die Alte by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Downward Facing Dog by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Knuddelnachtmonster by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Imagefilm 013 by Sascha Ende

S16 Ep 156S16 Ep156: The Interview: Cory Rosenke~ The Mystery of the Missing Time
Hello friends! This week I interview Cory, a self-proclaimed bibliophile, just like me! Cory's childhood was one of struggle and beauty, one of discovery and revelation. He tells stories of growing up on a mountain in a remote cabin, of what he found in the woods, and also, how his childhood primed him for his life up until now! We talk wolves in the moonlight, L.M. Montgomery and "Anne of Green Gables," we talk about mysterious missing time and all about the soul. It's an episode that seemingly goes all over the place, but ultimately ends up in the same place...the beauty and unerring truth of our individual souls!Cory's book "The Magnetic Heart of God" is out, you can buy it here! And his website, to see a bit more about this delightful human, is here!I'm all about what kind of gorgeousness other humans can bring into the world and understand that we can be stewards of beauty for others...so my question this week is, what kind of beauty are you going to do this week? Or usher in this week? Or lavishly bring forth? A big question, I know, but just think about it...To visit my website, click here! And don't forget, SHARE THE PODCAST WITH STRANGERS! Sharing is caring everyone, and honestly, it means you are a part of helping make this pod reach even more people who might need a bit of joy in their lives!See you mid-week for another beautiful episode!Attributions:The Day After Tomorrow by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/412-the-day-after-tomorrowEarthquake (neutral) by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/402-earthquake-neutralImagefilm 021 by Sascha EndeFree download: https://filmmusic.io/song/408-imagefilm-021

S15 Ep 155S15 Ep155: The Interview-Kendra Lockhart~A Leaky Floaty is a Very Bad Thing
YAY! This is the inaugural episode of our mid-week Miracle series! Every once in a while I will be releasing a mid-week episode, without a byte, for you to enjoy! (cue the revelry and the dancing!)My guest, Kendra Lockhart, has several stories to tell, including one from her childhood where a mysterious voice helped to save her younger brother's life! She's had quite the interesting journey and I don't want to spoil it for you, but suffice it to say that this is one human being who is here to change the world for the better, one experience at a time!A good friend told me before the pandemic truly set in that much would be emerging from this time of enforced isolation, some of it gorgeous (all the art, the writing, the podcasts, etc) and some not so good (the anger and rage still simmering). Kendra emerged with a podcast, "Know Yourself Well" which you should absolutely check out by clicking here. Kendra's Insta, her glorious Metaphysical Monarch self you can find here!I hope you enjoy the episode and appreciate all this human being has to offer! The truth is, I have so many guests I have to produce and introduce you to, this mid-week episode release is needed! Despite all the negativity and bad news out there in the world, I am finding exceptionally gorgeous humans who are determined to create beauty and spread joy! They are out there listeners, the news just doesn't talk about them all that much. Shocking, I know.PLEASE RATE AND REVIEW THE POD. I will grovel if need be!Attributions:"Pleasant Porridge" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Music (CC BY 4.0): The Gigantic Epic Day After Tomorrow by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Publish by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Imagefilm 017 by Sascha EndeMusic (CC BY 4.0): Happy Clappy Castagnette by Sascha EndeMusic: Lonesome by Sascha EndeWebsite: https://filmmusic.io/song/51-lonesomeLicensed under CC BY 4.0: https://filmmusic.io/standard-licenseMusic (CC BY 4.0): Afterparty Review by Sascha Ende

S15 Ep 154S15 Ep154: The Interview: Jeff Miller~ The Magic in Three Day Feasts!
Hello friends! This week I interview Jeff Miller, someone I've known since he was a teenager. And yes, he decided I was cool enough to appear on the show! (you have no idea how young that made me feel!) Ha!Jeff is an adventurer, a man about town (but really the world, and right now, Latin America), and is changing hearts and minds with his YouTube channel, Slow Road South. He creates sweet films that sometimes talk about food, sometimes are interviews with sweet strangers met along the way, but I guarantee...they'll always lift your heart! Talking about the three day feast he attended got me drooling and reminded me why COMMUNITY and BELONGING are so important and so necessary. I come down a bit hard on the U.S. in this episode, but it's only because of the separation that we are experiencing and the sorrow and grief that is seriously prevalent out there. Perhaps if we all came together for a party for three days, everyone's spirits would be lifted! The miracle this week is food, feasts, conviviality, purple lighting and messages from the gods that "suggest" a path in life! I get the feeling that mole recipe is probably another miracle, but the recipe I'm sure is a secret! To watch Jeff's channel, Slow Road South, click here!To visit my website, click here!Take a gander around you and see where you can help another heart this week...whether it's your barista, or a stranger, you never know how you can be of service, as well as a blessing to another this week. Or maybe, just start with yourself. S15 Ep 153S15 Ep153: The Interview: Dana Diaz-Survival & Thrival
This weeks episode comes with a TRIGGER warning dears, but also with an INSPIRATION warning! (Just in case your hearts are tender this week, I know mine is, so I urge my listeners to take care...).Dana is a beautiful example of what it looks like to survive and emerge triumphant on the other side of a childhood and marriage that were heartbreaking, to say the least. Talking with her was like talking with a dear friend, one who models compassion, love for the world and fierce determination all in one sweet bundle! I urge to to check out her website to see just what else this formidable human is up to!https://danasdiaz.com/Her book "Gasping for Air," can be found on the Treasures page of the website-that's where I put all the goodies I think are worth checking out, so be sure to meander that way after listening to the episode.Real life examples of strength and resilience are sometimes hard to come by, but not this week! Take a page from Dana's life and check out what needs to change in your life? What cannot be supported anymore...because we all have things, right? We all have thangs! I want each and every one of you to survive and thrive, just like Dana!THANK YOU FOR THE RATINGS DEAR LISTENERS! S15 Ep 152S15 Ep152: The Interview: Gillian Gonda-The Miracle of Grief
THERE IS NO BYTE SIZED EPISODE THIS WEEK BECAUSE I AM MAKING YOU ALL LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE!! (because I think we should all read the study that we talk about~recently released by the Fetzer Institute~you know what a taskmaster I am, but I guarantee the study is so super groovy you'll feel bad you missed out!)It's no secret that there's recently been a worldwide pandemic, and it was clear to me that people were suffering in so many different ways during it...loneliness, depression, the loss of loved ones, missing rites of passage (prom? high school graduation?) and for me, especially, witnessing how society became more polarized and fractured. I will never forget people fighting over toilet paper in the supermarket, and being willing to hurt another human over it. That suffering and grief hasn't gone away, and I would argue, it's only morphed into other places and spaces in our lives...and while the world has gone back to "normal" so many of us are just trying to survive the day.We talk big grief in this world, in our own lives, how to survive, how to thrive. We talk how children can be wise little nuggets, and how our community is what is going to be what helps us, and sometimes save us. The study is truly fascinating...I urge you to click on the link below to check it out. Did people become more spiritual? More religious? Less? How did the pandemic affect our ability to find and create meaning in our world? You'll just have to read it to find out!Thank you for listening all, and for more information, the website: bytesizedblessings.comWHAT DOES SPIRITUALITY MEAN TO US? S15 Ep 151S15 Ep151: The Interview: Emerald Carter-The Miracle of the Neighbor
Emerald shares two stories in this episode, and both are powerful as heck!In this episode my beautiful guest shares: how a book can change one's life, how a stranger in the neighborhood can suddenly become a friend, how in the midst of a truly frightening episode, one is watched over and tended (by both humans and Spirit). She also shares what happened with the neighbor on the 21st floor, in the week before this neighbor's death...and the unexpected witnessing that happened! (hint: it's unspeakably lovely!)I'm grateful to this incredible human for sharing her story, it's a very vulnerable one. It reminds me that even in the midst of uncertainty and being lost, people we don't know can show up and be of service. It's this kind of story that helps the world go round! (In that being of service to ANYONE becomes the norm, rather than the exception!)Happy New Year all, and don't forget that I'm still asking for the Christmas present of a rating or a review for the pod! S15 Ep 149S15 Ep149: The Interview: Elizabeth Jarrett Andrew-The Miracle in the Dream
Elizabeth has several stories to tell this week, and each are enchanting! This delightful author of several books has clearly been called from the start to a magical and delicious life! We talk how even the darkness has potentials in it (so perfect for the shortest day of the year on the 21st!!) and how going through a dark night of the soul can prepare one for the profoundest magic in one's life. Her stories of her childhood dreams had my jaw dropping with their very clear messages, but I don't want to spoil the surprise...suffice it to say that sometimes that beautiful Energy that enlivens this Universe wants to make it very clear very early that one has a job to do in this life!To check out Elizabeth and her exquisite life and works: https://www.elizabethjarrettandrew.com/And to read a bit more about the Cloud of Unknowing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cloud_of_UnknowingAnd to read a bit more about Sante Lucia click here: https://www.britannica.com/topic/St-Lucias-DayREMEMBER SHARING IS CARING, SO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE POD! What does it mean to listen to your heart? Well, for starters, it might mean ending up in an incredible house on a peninsula in Bali! My guest, Layard, tells of listening and then following...and the gifts that come from that. We talk Trickster (again!), the Hero's Journey, and how our Hearts are really our most potent superpower! (Hint: they kinda know everything!!) Layard Thompson is currently writing a transformational novel with semi-autobiographical and sci-fi twists. He's a practicing alchemist who guides clients to create the life they love. Thusfar, his life includes being a professional performing artist, a steward of queer sanctuaries, an intuitive body worker, alongside many other magical and creative pursuits. He is a gardener, a builder, friend to animals, a lover of people, and devoted to a life guided by intuition. S15 Ep 147S15 Ep147: The Interview: Sally Smith- The Magic of Amazonian Forest Gods (and other tales!)
Sally is both captivating and intelligent, and both of these traits shine through as she regaled me with multiple stories of magic! Including:1. How she learned that magic was a VERY REAL THING in the Amazon,2. How Our Lady of Guadalupe is a very potent healing force,3. And finally, that the Forest Trickster, Chullachaqui, is alive and well, and looking for those he can lead off into the jungle! I suspect Sally's superpower is her sense of humor, because one of her tales comes with a trigger warning...but still, she laughs and reflects on the lesson learned in that encounter~and I think that humor and awe might be what saves us in the end...but Sally is already there, out in front, showing that with both of these traits, even the most mysterious happenings can be faced with grace! S15 Ep 146S15 Ep146: The Interview: Junko Nagao-All The Spirits We Cannot See
Junko lives to light people up...by encouraging them to mine not only their brilliance, but also their shadows! She grew up surrounded by Shintoism as well as Buddhism, and it's clear that both have left their mark on her. From a young age she was deeply immersed in the Japanese worldview of Shinto, and the spirits that came with it. Sensitive to the world around her, Junko soon understood that the entire world is one of magic, and one she wanted to experience to the fullest. Not only does she rock the world with her own podcast, "Return to Wonder," she also lifts others up and helps them to realize their potential.Much like fish, who live in water but don't really understand "what that means," Junko feels that we live in a world of magic, above us, below us, around us and within us. But do we truly comprehend what that means? We tackle all this and more in this episode, so put on your seatbelts!Dont' forget to talk the pod up to everyone you meet! bonusJunko lives to light people up...by encouraging them to mine not only their brilliance, but also their shadows! You never know when it's going to be the perfect answer to someone's bummer of a day!

S15 Ep 143S15 Ep143: Siena Crist- The Ghost in the Basement
Siena loves history, loves old buildings and has reverence for the past. BUT it was her experience at a seance in a basement, one that had ties to the Underground Railroad, that she talks about in this episode. Her tale is a spooky one and reminds me that boundaries are good, especially when it comes to those who are already dead. I don't want to give any spoilers, but let's just say that sometimes there is such a thing as a ghost with boundary issues. Her tale will delight, will enchant, and will once again, remind all of us, that the veil is very thin this time of the year! Please consider supporting the pod on Patreon! This is a true labor of love and costs some money to produce...and any help is very much appreciated! https://www.patreon.com/user/about?u=82663030Also-ratings and reviews are where it's at! S15 Ep 142S15 Ep142: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL!! THREE TALES OF TERROR! (thanks to Stephen Rutledge!)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN YOU ALL!!I'd like you to meet my guest for this Halloween Special, Stephen Rutledge! Stephen seems to have a special relationship with those things that go bump in the night...or send a chill up your spine. His three tales are all very different, but all especially spooky! My favorite tale of his involves hundreds of other witnesses...and a bottle of champagne...Stephen's life seems filled with the uncanny, and he handles it all with complete grace...because me? I would have run from every experience screaming! Here's hoping your All Hallows Eve is filled with magical glowing pumpkins, a spectral breath on the back of your neck and cackling laughter from a ghostly phantasm! And again, Happy Halloween!

S15 Ep 141S15 Ep141: Holly's Tales of Terror-New Orleans Style
Welcome to another spooky tale, my dear listeners! This week is all about New Orleans, and how truly haunted those houses are, down South!Holly and her husband weren't too concerned when her daughter suddenly had a best friend named Sam, except Sam didn't exist...or did he? When strange things started happening in the house, and Sam became more and more real as their daughter grew older, they realized that Sam was maybe a bit more "real" than they imagined. And then that other house, with those portraits...and the coughing, and the noises...but I'll let Holly tell her tales, and hopefully fill your October with a little more spookiness, a few more goosebumps, and hopefully, more reminders that during this time of year, the veils between worlds are very, very thin.To read the blog about Sam, click here! Please consider rating and reviewing the pod...it helps other people find us!

S15 Ep 140S15 Ep140: Norman B. - A Ghost Called Alice

From the creepy and unexpected hotel manager, to what happened in their room that one night...I would have climbed on the train and got the heck outta there! (oh wait, the train...that's all part of their terrifying tale...) So get closer to the fire my friends and closer to each other...and try to keep the darkness out, because that's where these ghosties live to terrify. To hear Norman's podcast, "Life Elsewhere" please click here, and remember, RATE AND REVIEW the pod! We podcasters work hard and every rating and review helps other listeners find us! S14 Ep 139S14 Ep139: Amy Adams - Keeping Ghosts in the Family
Our October Spooktacular continues dear listeners! My guest this week has been on before, and it's no surprise (at least to me) that she has even more ghostly and ghastly stories to tell! This time she shares two, and both deal with family...and what happens, sometimes, after our beloved family members die. (In my opinion, Amy handled all that happened with extreme aplomb, because I would have run out the door screaming!)From crossing the River Styx, to the scent of roses...and so much more...this episode will be sure to delight...and defy your expectations about death! And it appears that not all ghosts are looking to terrify; some seemingly do want to give you just one last hug. One big, invisible hug. What's terrifying about that?See you later this week for another ghostly tale, and until then, happy ghost hunting!

S14 Ep 138S14 Ep138: Tangerine Bolen- The Ghostly Roommates
This week is our second in our October Spooktacular, and the build up to All Hallows Eve! And my guest, Tangerine, shares two dastardly tales of terror..."Who the hell is that guy in the corner?" AND, what happened when Tangerine was living alone but SUDDENLY DISCOVERED that she in fact, wasn't living alone, and there was a very real, and very scary, roommate. These two tales will be sure to spook you, get you sitting on the edge of your seat, and maybe get you to fasten your doors and windows a little more tightly tonight!Remember, the other side of the veil is just there, listeners, and all sorts of spooky and gobliny things are just waiting for you to hang out with them. Please SUBSCRIBE TO THE POD, and GIVE THE POD A RATING! Keep the lights on and your fires burning this month, because you never can tell what is alive in the darkness!

S14 Ep 137S14 Ep137: Krysta Kelley- Ghosts Just Want to Help Us Out! (It's not their fault we can't see them!)
I begin our October Spooktacular with my guest Krysta Kelley! This seeming ghost magnet shares four different ghost stories, all guaranteed to make you a little scared of the dark. From her experience in a dining room at a fishing lodge, to her work as a chef in the basement of a grocery store...a grocery store that was a former butchery and meat processor...her tales are sure to make you afraid of all those creepy corners you avoid like the plague! Tis the season for little ghosties and goblins and this series is meant to get you in the mood, right up to All Hallows Eve! So enjoy them while you can, and don't you dare leave your house without your garlic and silver bullets...Please remember to rate and review the pod, if you enjoy it...and share with others who delight in those little things that go bump in the night! Ghosts and spectres abound these days, as the daylight shrinks...and so very soon they'll have their one night of revelry. Be sure to lock your doors and close your curtains, because who can tell if what knocks at your door is friendly, or not? It's best to err on the side of caution and just leave that door be...for your sake.

S14 Ep 136S14 Ep136: Christina Ramirez- The Magic of Finding a Home
Christina talks two magical occurences in this episode-the first is about home, and where she and her kids would live...Santa Fe is already a dicey place to find a home in this market, but somehow, one day, everything came together to find a place to lay their heads! It took one sleepy teenager, and skipping a day of snowboarding, but in the end, they got exactly what they needed. The next miracle has to do with her kids and their musical abilities...2 and 3 year olds in a band? It's hard to imagine kids that age being that committed, but they really were, and are-and are now attending the Santa Fe School for the Arts. But it was what one elderly woman told her one day that allowed Christina to know that the relationship between musician and instrument is far more sacred than she imagined. To check out Christina's book "Empowered by Discomfort" click here: https://www.amazon.com/Empowered-Discomfort-Challenges-Confidence-Principle/dp/B0BY5YFYSWTo check and see what my guest is all about, visit her website https://cristinamramirez.com/And, my lovelies, I will see you next week for another episode full of magic and mystery!

Michael is many things...but especially a storyteller. He's an actor, an author, a producer, a director...what hasn't this guy done? In our longer conversation he shares his idea of what a miracle looks like...and here's a clue...it's connection and atoms and galaxies and stories! We talk Beowulf & Grendel and heroes and monsters. (I love the monsters!) We discuss how many tales, and many stories would be nothing if not for the "bad guy." So, in a certain way, we wouldn't exist without someone to blame...Michael's podcast, "A Blind Play of Social Forces" is out now, and features not only Michael's writing, but in this latest season, other writers as well. S14 Ep 134S14 Ep134: The Interview: Amy Wong Hope-Magical Ancestors
Amy is indomitable, and her miracle story really touched me, especially as I am doing my own deep work to excavate just who I am...(a life-long process really, if we're lucky!) Sometimes it's our ancestors who give us gifts, sometimes our ancestors give us lessons, and sometimes...they give us stories we need to unpack and heal. Amy shares just such a story in this longer episode, and it'll be sure to touch your heart! We also talk trauma, the lacquer that coats each of us thanks to the stories our culture and families and friends share with us (helpful or not!) and the size of the chisel we're going to need to chip that lacquer off! (Hint: it's pretty big). BUT, as Amy shares, there is infinite hope in all this chisel work, and when we are done, (Hint: also we might never be done) we can bring our more authentic and shinier selves to the world. Thanks so much for listening, and please remember, sharing is caring! This little pod needs to be out in the world, changing hearts and opening minds...be shameless and share with everyone!See you next week for another episode of the pod, and until then?
