Ohio State dominated the Big Ten during Urban Meyer’s seven years as head coach. Ohio State was 54-4 in regular-season Big Ten play. The Buckeyes had the best record in their division (sometimes tied for first) all seven seasons, making the Big Ten Championship four times and winning three of them. The rest of the league has been waiting for a shot. Michigan State, Penn State, Iowa and Purdue each beat the Meyer-led Buckeyes during the regular season, while the Spartans also knocked out the Buckeyes in the 2013 Big Ten Championship. But everyone else never figured out what it was like to beat Meyer in scarlet and gray. Now they get to try Ryan Day. Buckeye Talk has been planning a recruiting episode for weeks, and just as it hits, news breaks. Great timing. This week, Doug Lesmerises, Tim Bielik and Stephen Means break down the verbal commitment of 2021 quarterback Kyle McCord hours after it happened. McCord, a four-star from St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, announced his decision for the Buckeyes on Tuesday morning. That's not all. Ohio State landed the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation in both 2017 and 2018. If the Buckeyes are going to make the College Football Playoff in 2019, it will be on the backs of those players. So how are they developing?
