Show Notes

Does Ohio State or Clemson have the better coaching staff in this Fiesta Bowl? On this Christmas Day episode of the podcast, Doug Lesmerises looks at the assistants on both sides of the ball.

The Buckeyes have an offense run by head coach Ryan Day with help from coordinators Kevin Wilson and Mike Yurcich, and a defense coached by co-coordinators Greg Mattison and Jeff Hafley. Yurcich, Mattison and Hafley are all in their first seasons in Columbus.

Clemson counters with three veteran coordinators. Brent Venables has been running the Clemson defense since 2012. Offensively, co-coordinators Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott have been in charge since 2015. So the rise of the Tigers has been overseen by head coach Dabo Swinney and a trio of coordinators he really relies upon.

Doug looks at that and takes many of your other questions in a 45-minute daily Buckeye Talk episode live from Arizona.
