Jesse Marsch EXCLUSIVE: Inside story on Minamino and his move to Anfield | Verdict on Werner to Liverpool | Working with Halaand

Matt Addison speaks to Red Bull Salzburg head coach Jesse Marsch for an exclusive podcast. Marsch pitted his wits against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Champions League earlier this season with his exciting young side stunning the defending champions by battling back from three goals down at Anfield before going down to a 4-3 defeat. But Marsch’s links with the Reds go much deeper than that. Marsch, of course, managed Takumi Minamino before he swapped Salzburg for Liverpool in January – and the American boss gives an insight into the Japan international’s character, his best position and why he will be a success on Merseyside. Marsch also worked with Timo Werner when he was assistant manager at RB Leipzig and so he is perfectly placed to let Reds fans know what they will be getting if the German striker signs for Klopp’s Premier League leaders. And how could we not ask Marsch about Erling Haaland, the goalscoring phenomenon who also left Salzburg in January, and who has been linked with making the move from Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool in the future? And if that’s not enough, Marsch also explains the links between Liverpool and the Red Bull corporation – plus THAT half-time video from the away dressing room at Anfield in October. Road to Istanbul: Miracle of Istanbul relived as Reds return to Europe's top table in most dramatic of circumstances

Our Road to Istanbul series comes to a glorious and dramatic conclusion as Guy Clarke and Dan Kay cast their mind back to one of the greatest sporting comebacks of all time. Yes, we’ve reached the 2005 Champions League final itself, when Liverpool, inspired by their talismanic captain Steven Gerrard, displayed superhuman-level powers of recovery to come from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with AC Milan after extra-time before winning the shootout 3-2 on penalties. Dan was at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, 15 years ago, and he tells the story of what it was like to see the Reds lift Ol’ Big Ears in the most unimaginable way possible. Jurgen Klopp Borussia Dortmund special | His connection with fans like no other | The making of a managerial powerhouse

Five years to the day from his final home game in charge of Borussia Dortmund, we look back on Jurgen Klopp's reign at the Westfalenstadion and the links between his spell in charge of the Black Yellows and Liverpool. Host Matt Addison is joined by President of the London Borussia Dortmund Supporters' Club, Benjamin McFadyean, to discuss in detail Klopp's reign at the Bundesliga side, from what he inherited on becoming manager in the summer of 2008 to the heights he scaled, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, plus reaching the Champions League final at Wembley in 2013. Looking to the future, it is also discussed how realistic it would be for Liverpool to move for Dortmund's exciting young attacker Jadon Sancho, whether or not Klopp could ever return to Dortmund given the affinity he has for them, and the regard he is held in by the club's fanbase, where he created a similar bond to the one he has established at Anfield. View from the Kop: Anfield to the Wanda | Memories of Madrid, one year on | Winning the title

Our latest View from the Kop podcast gives some much-deserved publicity to the ‘Anfield To The Wanda’ charity run/walk currently being undertaken by a group of Liverpool-supporting friends. 24 fans from Spion Kop 1906, BOSS and Up The Reds are running or walking a combined distance of 1,286 miles – the amount from Anfield to the Wanda – in the two weeks leading up to the first anniversary of the Champions League final win at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid last year. All proceeds will go to the Liverpool charity KIND, which helps disadvantaged children and families from across Merseyside, and one of the 24 supporters who are taking on the challenge is Sam Evans, who tells Paul Philbin and host Paul Wheelock all about it. That also gives Sam and Philbo the chance to reminisce about that magical weekend in Madrid, before talk turns to the return of the Premier League, albeit without fans, and what it was like to follow Liverpool this season before the coronavirus outbreak. If you would like to help Sam and the 23 others Reds fans meet and surpass their £3,000 target for KIND, please visit and donate at www.anfield2wanda.co.uk.The Liverpool Echo sends a twice-daily Liverpool FC bulletin out via email with the all latest news, views and analysis from Anfield. Liverpool Classics: Millennium magic as Owen and Gerrard write names into FA Cup folklore with performances for the ages

Liverpool fans used to call Wembley 'Anfield South' given the amount of journeys their side used to make to the national stadium in the 70s and 80s. But for a number of Reds supporters, they hold just as fond memories of the trips that teams managed by Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez made to the Millennium Stadium at the turn of the 21st century while Wembley was being redeveloped. Two games stand-out in particular and given they celebrate their anniversaries this week, what better time to take a trip down Memory Lane for a double-header edition of our Liverpool Classics podcast. As not only do Guy Clarke and Dan Kay reminisce about the Michael Owen-inspired 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the 2001 FA Cup final, they also cast their mind back to the 2006 showpiece success over West Ham United in which Steven Gerrard produced a performance so good, and so talismanic, that the game will forever be remembered as 'the Gerrard final'. Enjoy.Welcome to the Morning Bulletin, rounding up the big headlines from overnight concerning Liverpool FC. Blood Red: Premier League given green light to restart | Liverpool could yet lift title at Anfield

The government has given the Premier League the green light to restart in June – and Liverpool could yet lift the title at Anfield. A 50-page roadmap was unveiled by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday that could permit ‘cultural and sporting events to take place behind closed doors for broadcast, while avoiding the risk of large-scale social contact,’ after June 1. The Premier League are planning to play the remaining 92 games behind closed doors at neutral venues that do not include Liverpool’s iconic home, Anfield. But reports have suggested more than half of the 20 top-flight clubs expressed opposition to the neutral grounds plan and have asked Premier League executives to petition the government to be permitted to play the rest of the capaign on the usual home and away basis. That would give Liverpool, who are just two wins away from securing the title, the chance to play their remaining four home matches at Anfield. Join host Guy Clarke, Paul Gorst, Ian Doyle and Matt Addison to discuss all that and more in the Blood Red podcast. Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid question explored as concerns grow

We have a Blood Red podcast with a difference for you as Sean Bradbury is joined by the Liverpool ECHO’s political editor Liam Thorp to explore the concerns that have grown on Merseyside following the Champions League match between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid at Anfield on March 11. Despite growing fears around coronavirus in England, the match was allowed to be played in front of 52,000 supporters – which included around 3,000 travelling fans from Madrid, where at the time the virus was rife and where gatherings of more than 1,000 people had been banned. It is impossible to answer whether the match – the last major football game to be staged in England before the country went into lockdown – led to the significant spread of coronavirus in Liverpool. But what Liam, who has covered this story extensively, taking it even to Downing Street, can answer, is what the thought-process was of the authorities before the match, and how it has changed since. He also talks about the investigation launched by Liverpool City Council into the game – and the response he got when he put the concerns felt by many on Merseyside about it to the government. It was a response that made back-page national news. The Liverpool Echo sends a twice-daily Liverpool FC bulletin out via email with the all latest news, views and analysis from Anfield. From Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have been lauded for plenty of their transfer business. Alex Teixeira, Julian Brandt, Ben Chilwell, Mario Gotze, Piotr Zielinski, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jorginho and Nabil Fekir are some of the more public pursuits.
