Blessed Is She That Believed Podcast is officially 2 years old today!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! Today we celebrate and give God all the glory for the work He is doing through this podcast. I am forever grateful to Him for choosing me to do this. Let's Get Into It!!!

I was going to change the title of this episode. However, it's perfect because we are talking about faith. We will look at four types of faith or categories of faith that I have found in the Word. Honestly, I think we have traveled through all four in different areas of our lives, but the thing is do we acknowledge where we are and when our faith is lacking? Or, do we stay where we are instead of making room for growth? Let's Get Into It!!

We have a tendency to see it as when He promises us, He just thought it up. No! He already had everything set up for your life before time began. It's my birthday week! I'm so excited to be on the cusp of turning 39. Reading Galatians chapter 1, the Apostle Paul let's us know who sent him and who called him, Jesus Christ. In this day of social media platforms where everyone is self-appointed, and no one is asking them, "Who sent you? Who called you?" There's no accountability when it comes to the platforms that people have placed themselves on. Whew...let's get into it!

God has promised us in His Word that He is doing a new thing, so why do we constantly try to hold onto the old things that are dead to us? The more we linger on the past the more likely we will forfeit what God has for us in this present season. Let's Get Into It!

Merry Christmas! Just a brief episode (and I do mean brief), I was about to lose my voice. I had to make this one short, but I just want all of my listeners to know I am so grateful to each and every one of you who tunes in every week. I pray your holidays are merry and bright. Once we recognize our gifts in Christ, we can believe our own strength allows us to perform these gifts. From there, we can actually presume on God and sign up for or join ourselves to things or people that are above our experience level. We will run headlong into danger because we believe our gifts will cover us and make up for the experience we lack. We need to be very careful we do not bite off more than we can chew. Looking at David as he was on the run from King Saul in 1 Samuel 21-22, we see how we are still valuable when we are going through our challenges in life. The enemy is going to lie to us and try to get us to believe that our value is nonexistent because we are in the wilderness or cave (like David), but God will still use us to minister through our testimony. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Let's Get Into It!

Back with another Sunday Supper episode, and what a perfect time to have supper, Thanksgiving Week! One thing about Sunday Suppers that I love is all of the different conversations at one table. This episode is about different things, but all of them are connected. The common denominator of all of the situations is the goodness of God. Let's Get Into It!

It's hard sometimes to remember that God has made you a promise when you are going through the storm. It's even harder when the storm is over, and you are sitting still. What if the promise is not the way He said it would go? What do you do then? Do you stop believing that He is good, or do you try to figure it out yourself? Tragedy struck my area yesterday, October 19th, 2024. Gun violence and a celebration of life and legacy became an afternoon of loss and mourning. I dedicate this episode to my hometown, Brunswick, GA and surrounding "Low Country" areas. I dedicate this to those who are mourning the loss of family members. I dedicate this to those who are grieving. I dedicate this to those who can't find the answers for the pain and hurt they feel. God is near to those of a broken heart. I dedicate this episode to all of us who understand that sometimes silence is the only form of communication needed in times like these. Let's Get Into It...

I like to think of our prayer lives like bowling. We have a target (the pins) and the ball (our prayers) we aim toward the target or focus of our prayers, but it simply doesn't get there. It either goes to the left or the right. This is why we need the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is like the buffers they use for children to keep their bowling ball out of the gutter. With the Holy Spirit, our prayers always hit the target because He makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). We also have to be careful what we say because everything we say is a prayer. Why? Every word spoken is a seed. We must be specific and precise with our prayers. Let's Get Into It!

If you are a trauma survivor, then you are going to connect with this episode. Words like relapse, rest, and renew will be used in this episode and you will probably be able to identify with at least one of those words. As a trauma survivor, I am learning there are many layers to restoration. There are hiccups along the way. Realizing that I may never "arrive" until I get to see Jesus is something I am growing to accept daily. Knowing that He loves me with an everlasting love, and He will never leave me nor forsake me is the reassurance and strength I need out here. Let's Get Into It!

Hurricane Helene did a number on us Georgians, Floridians, and Carolinians...I don't know about anyone else, but it made me question my relationship with the Lord, not in a bad way, but in a "check yourself" way. Is your love for the Lord a routine or a relationship? Even though the question seems rhetorical, it deserves an answer. How will you respond? Many times we try to rush past the "inconvenient" parts of our journey on this thing called Life. But, to be honest, those are the parts that build our character and make us grow into the individuals we need to be to fulfill God's purpose. This is your reminder to slow down, and enjoy these moments of your life. Remember, when we try to circumvent these moments or speed through them we usually end up getting into trouble. Sometimes, the roadblocks and slow downs are for our protection. The delays can be a blessing in disguise. Let's Get Into It!

Well let me say this...whew! Guarding your heart is learning your triggers, and where your weak spots are that the enemy will use against you. Y'all I learned this week, lol. I can't listen to R&B like I used to, why? Because it makes me want to send that infamous text, "Hey, big head." Yeah, it's no bueno. What is something you know you cannot mess around with at all? Well, if you haven't thought about it, this episode will have you thinking. Let's Get Into It!

We are presented with choices every day. We choose what to wear in the mornings. We choose what we are going to eat. We even choose what sports team to cheer for during a particular season. Here's the thing, God gave us a choice to choose life or death. We have been given the gift of free will. We don't have to choose Jesus. We don't have to choose to live holy. However, what other alternative is there? When we do not choose to follow Christ we are choosing to live a life separate from Him, and if we die without Christ we will live an eternity separated from Him. Whew it's tight, but it's right. Let's Get Into It!

We can't give God our best when we are constantly trying to do His job. Ouch! Yeah, the big ouch. I spent so much time trying to get God's promises to me to work out how He told me instead of just being obedient and walking by faith. Every time I put my hands in God's business I make a mess. Did you know the people you surround yourself with can either push you into purpose or pull you away from purpose? What is your purpose anyway? We are going to talk about all of this in this episode, so Let's Get Into It!

Many of us are waiting for the Lord to elevate us to the promise, but we won't do the work where we are currently. We have to put in work. This work we are currently in is building character, faith, endurance, strength, and if we don't do this current work, then how are we going to have what we need for the next stage in our walk with Christ? It's time to put in the work, LET'S GET INTO IT!

The temptation to turn back to the life we once knew can grow in our hearts when we go through difficult challenges and circumstances. However, we must keep our eyes and our hearts fixed on the Kingdom purpose for which we are here. I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back, no turning back. The cross before me. The world behind me. No turning back, no turning back. Let's Get Into It!

Psalm 130 is one of the many Psalms I love. I hope that as we go through the verses of this psalm you grow to love it as much as I do. It is a psalm of ascent which means that it goes from the anguish of the psalmist's soul crying for help to the assurance that we can put our trust in the Lord as we wait on Him to move on our behalf. With that said, Let's Get Into It!

It's one thing to know that when the Lord tells you to move you can rest assure that everything you need for the assignment will be provided for you. However, there are many people who move without having their last position filled. God is not the author of confusion. Everything is done decently, and in order. He is not going to send you without someone covering your spot. Let's Get Into It!

First, I'm sorry this is late ya'll, but it is here! What happens when you remove God from love by saying things such as "love is love?" Well, you don't have love because 1 John 4 tells us God is love and love is made perfect when you're in God. Whew this is a hot one, so Let's Get Into It!

In this episode, I share what the Holy Spirit spoke to me concerning my business and how to treat people as a Christian business owner/entrepreneur. As a Christian business owner/entrepreneur, it is vital that we remember we are supposed to be shining the light of Jesus throughout every aspect of our business. Remembering, we are servants first and foremost. And, we are to do our work as unto the Lord. Rest, whew...do we even know what that means in this day and age? Well, we are going to talk about it in this episode also, so LET'S GET INTO IT!!!

Some things are not going to leave with just prayer. Some things will only leave through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). When was the last time you fasted? Have you ever fasted? Do you believe that fasting is only required in the Old Testament days? I assure you it is a way of life for the follower of Christ. We are going to talk about it in in this episode, so LET'S GET INTO IT!

We're so quick to see what someone else has and immediately want the same thing for ourselves. The danger with this way of thinking is we don't count the cost of what that person went through in order to obtain that thing whether it is a job, degree, relationship, etc. You never know what people have gone through to get to where they are. That's why sharing our testimonies are such a weapon to the kingdom of hell because we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. When we share where the Lord has brought us from and how we grew from that experience we save lives. We give words of caution. We encourage. We inspire people to seek Jesus. With that being said, Let's Get Into It!

A lotus eater is someone who lives in distractions. Someone who lives a life full of distractions makes it nearly impossible to achieve purpose. We have a tendency in this day and age to allow distractions to be our main focus instead of placing our focus on Jesus Christ. I get really transparent with this episode due to what I went through this week, so LET'S GET INTO IT!

This week we are talking about rekindling the fire and stirring up the gift that is in you. Your purpose, your call that you have been sitting on, it's time to reignite the flame. When we forget what the Lord has given us we allow fear to creep in, and we know that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind! Let's Get Into It!

This week we are looking at the details of the biblical account of the man let down through the roof to be healed by Jesus. We have to look at the details because many people believe that these four men are his friends, but the Bible NEVER said they were his friends, OOOOPSSS! I know I just messed up some religious beliefs and sermons with that one. And this is why looking at the details of the Word is so important. Let's Get Into It!!!

We, as humans, are settled into our routines so much that we take for granted our very existence is a vapor. We do not consider our Heavenly Father in many of the day-to-day routines that we have grown accustomed to. We have to seek Him first in every thing, not just when we need something. Even when it comes down to what grocery store we choose to shop in because in all honesty, we can actually pass up what we've been praying for by not seeking the Lord first. Let's Get Into It!

When you choose to follow Christ, you become a Christian. As Christians we are no longer under the law of sin and death. We are made free through the blood of Jesus. Therefore, we choose to sin. We don't have to sin anymore, we CHOOSE to sin. Every time we sin we are choosing that sin over Jesus. In essence, what we are saying is "I love this thing more than I love you, Jesus." Wow. How many times do we ask God about the same prayer request, just to make sure He's doing what He already promised us? One time too many. Right. We can guarantee that God is going to do what He has promised us without there being a mistake, or glitch. He's our Heavenly Father, and He is perfect in every way. So perfect that we don't have to ever worry that He is going to fail. Let's Get Into It!

He is more than able! He can do exceeding, abundantly above all we can ask or think! So when did we start to forget everything He's done for us? When did we decide we could throw in the towel? No, take a rest, and keep going in the power of Christ. When we rest we are giving Him to room to do what needs to be done in our lives. Let's Get Into It!

This is Sunday Supper and if you are from the South you already know what this is. Sunday Supper is when we come together and we fellowship before the week begins. With this being Resurrection Sunday, we know that Easter dinner is a combination of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. You may have ham and turkey...it's a little bit of everything. Well, that's what this week episode is like a little bit of everything. I pray this episode is a blessing for you because the Holy Spirit showed up with the fire, and it got HOT...literally, lol. I pray that whatever you come for when you listen to this episode, you receive what you need in Jesus' name. Let's Get Into It!

We want to always shine light on the overflow of God, but why do we not like to talk about the limits that God places on us? I praise God for the limits He has put on me. Welcome to the one year anniversary of Blessed Is She That Believed Podcast!!! I cannot believe that being obedient on a random March night in 2023 would produce something that is still going a year later. I thank you, the listeners, for rocking with the podcast and sharing it with your family and friends. You are much appreciated! With that being said, there's nothing else to say except, Let's Get Into It!!!

There's a difference between being alone and being lonely. Many times on this walk of faith we will find ourselves alone, but why? The Lord needs us to be alone at times so we can seek Him with no distractions. Admit it. We can be easily sidetracked with our daily routines, friends, family, etc., so the Lord needs us alone. However, sometimes He will move those distractions out of the way because He knows we will not do it. So, when you find yourself by yourself, don't get upset. Get in position to seek our Heavenly Father's face. Let's Get Into It!

How can we know God is our provider, if we are not put into situations where we need His provision? We are going to check out them Hebrew boys: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. We will see how God's provision doesn't have to always deal with our financial needs like many wolves have taught. God's provision also covers our spiritual needs. This is a HOT one! LET'S GET INTO IT!!!
