If your sixth sense is tingling, then it's probably one of the signs that there's a new Baconsale episode coming to your unbreakable village. This week we're talking about the works of M. Night Shyamalan, and trying to figure out when and how he went from being one of the most acclaimed directors in Hollywood to a punchline in a joke about bad movies. PLOT TWIST! Since Jacob is on vacation, Emily Mackay, from the War Machine vs. War Horse podcast is here to help Kent and Joel argue with each other.

Let's get musical, musical! No, we're not talking Andrew Lloyd Webber versus Stephen Sondheim (though that could be a fun topic for a future show), we're talking about which rock, pop and country stars deserve their own biopic. Kent and Joel pitch biographical films about famous musical artists and it's up to Jacob (yes, that Jacob) to decide whether he would green-light the movies. At the very least, we hope to be more entertaining than Ray.

Round 1 of our Heroes Bracket took up an entire episode, but we manage to get through rounds 2, 3 and 4 in this, part two, of our Tournament of Heroes. In this debate, should Kent and Joel agree on a winner, they automatically advance. However, if they disagree on who would be victorious, it is up to Jacob to decide who moves on to the next round. This episode sees epic battles such as Captain America versus Iron Man, Optimus Prime versus the Terminator and Kent's informed opinion versus logical reasoning. Admit it, you've wondered at least once in your life "Who would win in a fight, Gandalf or The Silver Surfer?" So we decided to put some random hero match-ups to the test. Jacob created a bracket of sci-fi and fantasy heroes, and it's up to Joel and Kent to debate and decide who wins each bout. Since we had approximately 50 heroes to discuss, we only got through the first round this time around, but we'll be back to finish it off next week. We decided to take a break from our usual topics of movies and television to discuss something truly important: politics. Ha! Just kidding! Like any sequel, this episode is bigger, yet doesn't capture the magic of the original.

In the first of, what's to be, many Disney episodes, we rank Disney animated features into three tiers. In this episode, Kent tries to dispute that jazz music has no place in Disney flicks. Joel doesn't mind breaking the hearts of girl squirrels. We spend at least five minutes trying to pronounce Notre Dame correctly. Along the way, we have a fever dream about pink elephants on parade.

We throw physics out the window as we bring in our very first guest. To say that Mark is an avid fan of the Fast & Furious franchise is a frightening and factual understatement. Join us as he tries to preach about the gospel of Paul and Vin to Joel, who plans to never watch the highly profitable series. Even though you only hear about two lines from Jake, we swear he was there the entire time.

With all the strife in the world, who doesn't want to hear two grown men fight about comic book movies? That is clearly a hypothetical question, because everyone should. Listen to the latest show as the Baconsale boys review Avengers: Age of Ultron. As can be expected, there are extremely differing opinions and things get a little heated. The Baconsale boys take some time off from fighting about movies so they can argue about television. Apparently they equate the amount of time of sitting on a couch and binging through shows to finding new depths. In this warped world, the more shows you complete, the more intellectual you are. With the recent premiere of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, the guys still manage to get excited about the future of the franchise, even though George Lucas hurt it beyond repair. Listen as they debate which Star Wars movie is the worst of the series. Kent claims that there are few things worse than The Phantom Menace, while Joel thinks that Attack of the Clones is the clear winner/loser. There's only one thing for sure, I've got a bad feeling about this.
