Israel & the Jews | The world is focused and triggered by what is going on in Israel right now. In this timely message, Lead Pastor Matt Peterson shares about how Israel and the Jews, along with their land, their purpose and calling have been a focus of God for 4000 years. We are culminating toward the end of days, and Israel and the Jews are still being threatened, while God re-establishes them and has more for them to do. This message is intended to share some of the history, both naturally and spiritually of the Jewish people and the land of Israel, so that we can have compassion for people on every side, and pray for salvation and help from God as well.

Jesus said that if we abide in His word, we will know truth and that truth will set us free. Knowing the inspired words of God is a light that illuminates our pathway through this life, and will help keep us from deception and sin. Jesus sees and knows us individually, but also views us as a small part of His very own large, global body that resides throughout the earth. Awake Kids hosted a parenting class with guest speaker, Kristen Carmitchel. Kristen is part of the Awake Church family, is the School Director for a local Christian school, and was recently commissioned as a Colson Fellow. This class is an empowering and helpful class for any young adult, parent, or adult equipping young hearts and minds to live out a Biblical worldview.

Supernatural Power of Forgiveness Complete freedom is the calling of every believer. To be free, we must not only receive forgiveness from God for our own sin, but completely forgive those who have harmed us as well. After the coming of the Holy Spirit to fill the Bride of Jesus who had waited for Him, a movement of God begins in Jerusalem. Peter and John go to the temple to pray and through them, the Holy Spirit heals a man who had been lame for over 40 years, resulting in a lot of attention and a sharing of the gospel message to those who had killed Jesus.

Debbie Peterson, our Children's Pastor hosted a parenting class titled "Technology: You Should Care, and This is Why" led by special guests, Lora Geer and Josh Moormann.  Lora's family was the primary subject of a film exploring the impacts of technology on youth.  Lora shares on the effects of technology on our brains and habits, and offers ideas of how she has guided her children into healthy practices. Josh Moormann has spent over two decades in the global telecommunications industry, providing him with a front row seat to the good and bad parts of the Internet in our society. Josh provides practical guidance and examples that families within our community can implement, while we work to create strong families that impact our community for Christ.

Being armed with the knowledge that conflict is part of the territory and how to conduct ourselves armed to fight is essential to live free and at peace. We are conquerors through Jesus who loves us. Bathabara is the place where the Israelites crossed the Jordan river and into their inheritance. It is also the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, initiating the ministry of Jesus to set all free. Bathabara speaks of a place of crossing where the old is left behind and the new begins. A place where people begin to walk in the inheritance that God has provided naturally and spiritually. In this second part of Paul's letter to the church in Philippi, Paul begins instructing them in how to live fully alive, while sharing some of his own inner wrestling as he contemplates the short time he has left on the earth. In the scriptures we have received an abundance of instruction to live fully alive and to grow and build our faith as we pursue Jesus.
