Every believer can hear God speaking, but we also need to understand what He is saying, what it means and how to apply it. Today, Matt shares some keys to interpreting and sharing with others the mysteries of God.

God is all knowing and in need of nothing, yet He has chosen to love and have relationship with us. As a multi-faceted being, He communicates to us in numerous ways and a large part of our journey in life is learning how to hear Him. In this message, Matt shares some of the thousands of ways that God speaks to His children.

Every born-again believer who has now become a son or daughter of God can now hear God speak personally. As a child of God, we have the privilege of hearing and communicating with God and enjoying Him. Life then becomes an adventure and each new day a discovery as we identify the ways that He speaks, He renews our minds and changes us while as we pursue Him.

The caveat to being forgiven by God is that we in turn forgive others. Jesus refused to get bitter in the midst of His crucifixion and forgave His offenders. Following Jesus means that we stay in a place of constant forgiveness toward others, and He has given us the Holy Spirit to help us supernaturally release to others the kind of forgiveness that we have received.

In this two-part series on Forgiveness, Matt shares about the beauty and power of the forgiveness that is offered to us through the person of Jesus and the sacrifice of His life. It takes humility to receive what we don't deserve, but without receiving by faith what Jesus has done for us, we are stuck with our mountain of sin, and kept from the life of the Son.

What does the Abraham, the father of our faith, have in common with Rahab, a prostitute? In this message, David finishes the second part of the study of the James passages about faith and works.

The law of supply and demands says that when supply is high, value is diminished. When supply is low, the value rises. The body of Christ has a high supply of voices, but a low supply of hands and feet. The value of laborers is at an all time high. In this message, David Olinger preaches from the book of James, “faith without works is dead.” This is a challenging message to our fellowship to step out and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

A short study in the life of a shepherd tending his sheep. The Lord as our Shepard, leads us, protects us, defends us, nourishes us, refreshes us, and lovingly pulls us back on life's trail when we slip or fall. He even rewards us for following him.

We get to have a relationship with the Creator, the most important and powerful being in the Universe. We are His children and He hears our prayers, our requests, but He desires to know us and wants us to desire to know Him. Knowing Him means adopting a posture of listening for Him daily and an adventure for our lives.

An Encounter with The Living God has full Power to alter our lives into the greater Glory we have been designed to live in this lifetime. God is ALWAYS up to something good in our lives. Continually coming into agreement with this simple Truth opens the doors of our destiny, truly letting the King of Glory come in!

Staying on the path of life with Jesus is our life. Along the way there will be a pull toward one of the ditches of Legalism or Lawlessness on either side of the road. There are also the tensions in life between opposing things that are difficult, but Jesus helps us live in the tension and He is the answer for every paradox.

The world's prisons are full of fatherless people. In our spiritual lives there can be a lack of health where we don't see our Heavenly Father the way that He is, or have a healthy relationship with Him. Jesus fulfilled His mission on the earth by being rightly related to His Father, and we can also. The Father is love and in love He provides for us and disciplines us for our good to help us live fully alive.

Bobby Conner's message to Awake Church

The promise of the Father is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He was sent to fill us and to enable us to do what we cannot do on our own. This baptism is for us today, for every person who wants Him. He changes us, ministers life to others through us and testifies of Jesus. The Spirit of God isn't scary, but God's wonderful presence inside of us.

Pentecost is the fulfilled prophecy of Jesus baptizing in the Holy Spirit. It came 50 days after Jesus was resurrected and initiated the start of the ministry of the Holy Spirit on the earth, inside of us! The secret plan and weapon of God was for Jesus to prepare a home for the Holy Spirit to live within, so that the world could be changed. God's great surprise includes you and I as the unexpected homes and carriers of God.

The Enemy of our lives is seeking to plant weeds in our life garden. I am sharing tools to weeding out our gardens and planting intentional seeds of life.

There are so many people that believe God has “cut them from the team” because of a mistake. There are those who have stopped contending to fulfill their purpose because of a past failure. God is so much more willing to work with our mistakes than we realize. In this message, David talks about becoming a servant, and a willing participant in the work of the Kingdom.

We are warned that deception will be rampant in the last days, leading to a falling away and loss of our faith. In this message, Matt shares some ways to remaining free of deception so that we can protect the precious truths that we have been given and remain in the love of God.

The raising of Jesus from the Dead changed everything and empowered all who follow and believe in Him to live fully alive. What was dark and full of death, changed to life, power, victory and hope for all into all of the future. We are celebrating not just a good man, but the Champion who loved with all that He had, ransomed all of mankind and arose from death with victory over death, hell, fear and the grave forever.

Jason Upton's message to Awake Church

Jesus doesn't just desire for people to follow and believe Him, but He has invited us to live united with Him. He gave us a picture of the power of living united with Him through the analogy of a vine that produces grapes, and invited His followers to take another step and actually live in Him. When we live and abide in Him, the juice and power of Christ flows through us and our lives will be fruitful.

Love is the greatest, unfailing power that we have. As believers, we are to live in love and love others lavishly. Our job isn't to try and convict people of sin, but to encourage everything that breathes and entrust people to the One who loves them even more than we do. Often, people don't get to hear how much they are loved from others until those words are shared at their funeral, when they are no longer there. We are to let love reach its destination and share it with others now.

The Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus brought and gave to us includes healing. Jesus loved and healed everywhere that he went, and He hasn't changed. He still loves and He still heals. In this message, Matt shares about changing our mindset and posture to begin believing that what Jesus purchased for us is actually ours to lay ahold of and grasp by faith.

Matt concludes this four part series on the Kingdom of Heaven by highlighting the permeating nature of the Kingdom and practically how we are to view ourselves as carriers and agents of the Kingdom of Heaven, finding ways to allow it to saturate our beings, our businesses, our words and our thinking.

The Kingdom of Heaven is the domain and rule of Jesus that He initiated when He was here and gave us to spread while He is temporarily in heaven. This Kingdom is robust, filled with power, love, joy and peace that brings satisfaction for every heart. The marvelous Kingdom of Heaven is to be sought after, received, proclaimed, demonstrated and prayed.

The Kingdom of Heaven is to be the most sought after thing in our lives, and every failure of believers pursuing and sharing the kingdom has created a vacuum that has been filled with counterfeit "ism's" (socialism, communism, fascism, even capitalism). The Kingdom of Heaven is the invasion of the realm of the King, who is Jesus, and it is meant to fully invade every aspect of life, not be compartmentalized into a church experience.
