Married at First Sight, Season 13, Week 6

E

Sarah and Mary rant, rave, and guffaw through week six of Married at First Sight Season 13. Johnny gets on Mary’s nerves with his immature questions for the group (WE GET IT, YOU WANT TO HAVE SEX). Sarah is considering getting a law degree to provide counsel to the couples who’ve been wronged by the experts (NO DOGS MEANS NO DOGS, PEPPER). The co-hosts agree you can tell a lot about a person based on a friendly game of “Never Have I Ever,” - and it’s not always positive. Married at First Sight, Season 13, Week 5

E

Sarah and Mary rage and laugh through week five of Married at First Sight Season 13. Sarah somewhat relates to Bao’s snoring insecurities and also truly wants a reality show where Jose takes people clothes shopping. Mary can’t imagine a fresher hell than ever having to watch Brett and Ryan attempt to get into a hammock together again. The co-hosts are relieved that Myrla is appreciative of Gil’s romantic gesture when she’s been unable to say a nice thing about literally anything else. Lots of laughs. Walk Left, Stand Right!

E

This week, Sarah and Mary discuss small habits and personality traits that lead to some pretty great realizations about themselves (AND EACH OTHER). Sarah missed her calling of having a big career with the TSA, and turns out, Mary’s reliance on comfortable footwear speaks volumes about her as a person. From the “right way” to hang your toilet paper to speed eating, lots is revealed, and lots of laughs are had. Married at First Sight, Season 13, Week 4

E

Sarah and Mary chat and laugh through week four of Married at First Sight Season 13. Mary can’t imagine a brunch without mimosas any more than she can imagine having to converse with Ryan about literally anything. Sarah is annoyed for Gil having to listen to Myrla bitch and moan about the honeymoon digs. If Rachel and Jose say one more time how content and perfect for one another they are, the co-hosts may start to believe them (NOT REALLY). Give it a listen for some hearty laughs. Married at First Sight, Season 13, Week 3

E

Sarah and Mary discuss week three of Married at First Sight Season 13. All five couples are finally married, but the girls are less than impressed it took this many episodes to get there. Also - okay Myrla, WE GET IT - you need to “maintain your lifestyle.” Mary would rather pick up trash on the side of the road than be forced to do the “two-step” with Ryan. The co-hosts still had high hopes for two of the couples, until they saw the previews for the rest of the season. Call Off the Hogs

E

This week, Sarah and Mary discuss their take-aways from several ridiculous headlines and trending topics, sharing some hilarious personal tales as well. Sarah has had enough with creeps and their entitlement and wonders how exactly a socially “criminal” act should be punished. Mary shares a story about a time she received a text message that was hard to swallow. The co-hosts are on the exact same page when it comes to stealing necklaces from dead people -- it’s a hard NO. Married at First Sight, Season 13, Week 2

E

Sarah and Mary discuss week two of Married at First Sight Season 13. Sarah is protective of sweet-baby-angel Zack, and makes a plea that as viewers, we commit to protecting his heart. Mary thinks Ryan is a slimy frat guy and even though she has nothing to really support that opinion with yet - stands by it fervently. The co-hosts have a few choice words for the experts, and wonder if Myrla wouldn’t have been better matched with Jose, as they both are giving off “bad egg” vibes. Lots of laughs -- take a listen. Scratch This

E

This week, Sarah and Mary discuss their take-aways from several ridiculous headlines and trending topics. Sarah questions if a winning “scratcher” is the gift that keeps on giving or the gift that could ultimately ruin someone’s life. Dental hygiene is merely a hobby of hers, but after reading that a lady pulled out 13 perfectly good teeth, Mary wonders how many tooth extractions are too many tooth extractions? The co-hosts agree that commenting on Facebook posts when you’re on the run might not be the smartest idea. Buckle up for hearty laughs. Sex/Life (Netflix)

E

This week, Sarah and Mary recap the Netflix series, “Sex/Life.” This episode is especially NSFW, so keep that in mind and use earbuds like the classy people that you are. Sarah is less than thrilled with Billie's poor decisions and weak character, however, like most, is appropriately thrilled with the shower scene in episode three. Mary needs a private room and a Xanax to get through this series but she wouldn’t have it any other way. A Date With a Moron (Lifetime Movie)

E

This week, Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “A Date With Danger.” Sarah has a hard time with Gavin’s complete disregard for personal space and Nicki’s inability to see red flags. Mary can’t understand why someone would want to move in together after one month, especially since she’s pretty sure they haven’t even gotten to second base. Neither of the co-hosts are able to make sense of a necklace and a key-chain that was supposed to have relevance, but just like always, it doesn’t matter — lots of laughs are had trying to figure it out. But I’m a Cheerleader

E

This week, in honor of Pride Month, Sarah and Mary recap the cult movie classic, “But I’m a Cheerleader.” From the satire, stereotypes, and sexual innuendos to the star-studded cast (Natasha Lyonne, RUPAUL!!) — this movie is the best. The eyes-wide-open french kissing scene brings back a wave of less-than-ideal memories to Sarah, while Mary is obsessed with the name of the gay bar in the movie and wants to pay homage by getting tee-shirts made. Awake and Confused (Netflix Movie)

E

This week, Sarah and Mary take a swing at recapping the trending Netflix movie, “Awake.” Sarah admires the actor’s ability to nail being “really tired,” and wonders if it might be time to start using closed captioning when she confuses books about “mapping” for “napping.” Mary is uncomfortable seeing a group of naked people watching the sun set and determines she probably wouldn’t have a high rate of survival in a dystopian zombie scenario. Their Nightmare, Our Dream (Lifetime Movie)

E

The Eric Roberts obsession continues for Sarah and Mary in their recap of Lifetime’s “Stalked By My Doctor: A Sleepwalker’s Nightmare.” It’s the fourth installment in the “Stalked By My Doctor” Lifetime movie series, and no surprise, it’s ridiculously perfect in every way. Get Your Mama a Drink (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “Secrets of a Gold Digger Killer.” Sarah shares her own story about being propositioned to move in with a man when she was a waitress — it was not exactly the same lavish scenario as Celeste, but he WAS older & is now dead. Mary can’t quite figure out if it’s responsible or potentially “murdery” to take out life insurance policies on your kids. Sarah and Mary agree they wouldn’t mind having their own room at the mysterious “Terrace View'' for a few days to relax and unwind. Questions are answered and laughs are had — take a listen. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Where Are They Now?

E

Sarah and Mary recap MAFS Season 12’s “Where Are They Now?” episode and manage to whittle down the network’s two hours of “meh” to an hour of a podcast full of entertainment and big laughs. Mary is thrilled that Jacob might’ve found someone to bore for eternity and Sarah has an unexpected, new hope for Clara and Ryan. Rub and Tug Royalty (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “Soccer Mom Madam.” Sarah is impressed with Anna’s hustle and drive, yet confused with her choice to have an “Eyes Wide Shut” themed Sweet Sixteen party for her daughter — including a pig wearing a tutu. Mary is bummed that the madam in charge ends up at Rikers, but less bummed than when she discovers she ultimately ends up at a pig farm. The Wrong Friends (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “A Party Gone Wrong.” There are some dark themes and an important cautionary message, but hoo boy, there is plenty of room to talk sh*t — starting with April’s inability to pick friends. Sarah can’t imagine letting a lifelong friendship go because of a rumor that proves not to be true -- dig a little, maybe? Mary has a hard time watching the girls attempt to sneak around and hide from their captors while wearing very loud high heels. A scene between a brother and sister proves to be the hardest to reckon with for the co-hosts, but of course, they figure out a way to laugh through it. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Reunion Part 2

E

Part two of MAFS reunion leaves Sarah and Mary mixed with emotions, laughter, and a good bit of anger. Sarah is none too pleased with Kevin’s double standards when it comes to pretty much everything — especially Chris, Paige, Haley and Jacob — and makes a pretty fair case as to why Sarah and Mary should be hosting the reunion specials. Mary is hell bent on defending Jacob, especially when it seems like Pastor Cal and Kevin don’t seem to agree. Dumb in the Water (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “A Predator Returns.” The shark themed sequel to “A Predator’s Obsession,” is nothing less than ridiculous in the most entertaining way. Sarah has a hard time reconciling Courtney’s poor upper body strength and lack of water survival skills once it’s revealed she is, in fact, a lifeguard. Mary is forced to self sooth due to the amount of willy-nilly cellphone play and wonders why it isn’t a bigger deal when a daughter and mother find out they’re boning the same guy. The co-hosts are a mix of sad and excited that there will probably be a third installment of this movie since they didn’t see Bruce-David’s dead body with their own eyes at the end. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Reunion Part 1

E

Part one of MAFS reunion leaves nothing on the table except for the rest of Chris’s tantrum and Jacob and Haley’s entire journey. Sarah isn’t content with Chris saying that “a car is a car” when asked why he purchased a Mercedes for his ex-girlfriend, ignoring the bigger, far more glaring offense of wearing a way too similar suit to Pastor Dwight. Plaid. Mary isn’t pleased with any of it and is angry about having to wait another week to get the gang entirely together. Happy or not, laughs are had. Kappa Kappa Drama Bitches (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “Sorority Sister Killer,” and boy, it’s a fun one. Mary is very turned off by the sorority’s “house mom,” Lana, but also wonders if that wouldn’t be the perfect job for her and Sarah. Sarah is critical of the hazing process that the pledges go through, yet acknowledges that those girls were a touch less enthusiastic about the alcohol involvement than she’d be. The big lesson the co-hosts take away is that it’s imperative to wear flats when drinking on a rooftop. “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?” is also briefly covered, because they’re generous (idiots) with their time. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Finale

E

Sarah and Mary are as eager as the couples to FINALLY get to Decision Day and — along with the rest of the world — are none too thrilled with the extensive time spent on Chris and Paige. Sarah is incensed with Chris’s insincere act of chivalry when he gives Paige his jacket to warm her up only AFTER they are back inside and out of the cold. Mary can’t help but feel the emptiness and indifference in Jacob, sincerely wishing him a perfectly cooked sirloin in his near future to perk him up. TOM-tation Island & Angela Tries to Get Her Groove Back (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary laugh their way through a recap of the Lifetime movie “Burning Little Lies” in this week’s episode. Sarah enjoys a good old fashioned, near-death cliff scene and determines she’d rather be courted by a murderer than wooed with the gift of a bird’s nest. Mary’s unable to get over the fact that a daughter planned her father’s funeral knowing that her sister would miss it, and also realizes she’s fine to never attend a chili cook-off. The co-hosts motor through a 90 Day Fiancé “Happily Ever After” recap because, thus far, the season is a bit of a snooze-fest — but they still manage to get many laughs out of it all. You’re welcome. Birthdays Are Like A-holes (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary attempt to break down the Lifetime movie, “How I Met Your Murderer.” They get through it, but not without some major word struggles, plot holes, and laughter induced tears. Mack (ugh), the main character, is a True Crime Podcaster and Sarah has as hard a time believing that as she does saying the phrase “true crime podcaster.” Mary isn’t clear why Mack spends the bulk of her free time hanging out at a school pool, particularly when she never takes a dip. Even though the movie is left open-ended, neither of the co-hosts is in a hot hurry for part two. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 16

E

Even though this feels like the longest MAFS season ever, Sarah and Mary are still hyped to talk to each other and sink their teeth into the various relationships. With only two days left until decision day, Sarah is concerned that Clara is sweeping her sexual frustration under the rug, and contrary to Ryan saying they’ve “both put everything into the relationship,” there’s one thing he hasn’t “put in“ — and that’s the problem. Mary is positive that Haley’s change of attitude this week has more to do with looking like an a-hole and less to do with caring even a tiny bit about Jacob’s feelings — but at least he got to enjoy a nice steak. Just What Sarah and Mary Ordered (Lifetime Movie w/ 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After Preview)

E

Sarah and Mary are giddy this week with the recap of Lifetime’s “Just What the Doctor Ordered” — the fifth movie in the “Stalked By My Doctor” series — starring the incomparable Eric Roberts — as well as a bonus recap of the Season 6 premiere of “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.” Sarah’s not surprised to find Dr. Beck still extremely passionate about all matters of the heart, including surgery as well as pretty 18-year-olds. Mary is pleased he hasn’t lost his flare for impersonating medical personnel and is very impressed with his stealthy, ninja ways when secretly occupying other people’s homes. The co-hosts are thrilled with the open-ended conclusion of the movie, pretty much guaranteeing a sixth “Stalked By My Doctor” movie — and it can’t come soon enough. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 15

E

Sarah and Mary are jazzed to dish their thoughts on this week’s MAFS episode which takes the group to Hilton Head, SC for a couple’s retreat. With one week left until decision day, Mary finds it mildly concerning that Haley and Jacob can’t even share a car ride — let alone a bed — and she’s not happy with Virginia’s strict two-cats-per-person bed policy. Sarah is glad that Jacob is getting enough protein by having eight eggs as a pre-dinner snack and wonders if Champagne Vinny would rather ride a horse on the beach every day rather than have Briana wake him up — ever. The co-hosts are confused as to how a “love letter” from Ryan could fill Clara’s void of the D, but love her choice in swimsuits. We know, we know; it sounds like Mare-bear called in from a submarine deep in an ocean lair — whoops, just to acknowledge, but lots to enjoy. Groan With Envy (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary do their best to make sense of the Lifetime movie, “Envy.” They had a lot of laughs trying to dissect it and that’s really all that matters, right? Mary struggles with the constant use of the term “Daddy” and wonders if she’d be thrilled or offended if she was gifted with a Honda Fit. Sarah is thankful that Kandi Burress is part of the cast and sincerely wants to know what became of her character since Lifetime decided not to tell us her fate. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 14

E

With less than two weeks until decision day, not a whole lot has changed with the individual couples. Although it was a Chris-free episode, we weren’t without a varsity ball-bag to be annoyed by — thanks for taking the reins, Haley! Sarah can’t understand why Haley is so bent out of shape with Jacob’s choice in footwear and wonders if it’s exhausting to have pursed lips 24-hours a day. Mary would rather eat a yearbook than look at someone else's, and suspects that Erik may, in fact, be a robot. Sarah and Mary are both entertained by Briana’s vocal range but fear that once those two have kids, Champagne Vinny will never enjoy a solid night's sleep ever again. Beware of the Mid-what? (Lifetime Movie)

E

Sarah and Mary recap the Lifetime movie, “Beware of the Midwife,” — and it’s a fun one. Did the movie make a lot of sense and was it a good use of their time to watch it? Not really. Do they have a spirited chat and some hearty laughs discussing the ridiculousness of it all? Absolutely. Sarah is unclear why anyone would switch their birthing plan so late in the game and also why someone would bail on stealing a baby halfway through stealing a baby — have some follow through, dammit. Mary is impressed with the size of the newborn baby, noting that they could skip the infant clothes and move straight to the toddler sizes. Both girls have a tough time understanding the relationship of the characters to one another, but it turns out they really don’t care enough to dig too deep. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 13

E

Sarah and Mary are very much looking forward to decision day in less than three weeks. Mostly because then they won’t have to deal with Haley’s pursed butthole lips or Chris, the narcissistic, bad egg. Sarah is highly uncomfortable with the budget discussion between Vincent and Briana but is quickly relieved when she realizes that the “cookie” column is for expenses to groom Briana’s dog and not her vagina. Mary is frustrated that Clara won’t fess up to Pastor Cal how much she needs the “D” and questions if Jacob might be doing sex wrong. Wastin’ Away Again in Eric Robertsville (Lifetime Movie)

The Eric Roberts obsession continues for Sarah and Mary in their recap of Lifetime’s “Stalked By My Doctor: Patient’s Revenge.” As the third in the “Stalked By My Doctor” series, this one does NOT disappoint. Sarah is over the moon with the double dose of Eric Roberts (since Eric Roberts’ inner-voice of reason is played by, well, Dr. Mr. Eric Roberts). Mary is genuinely pleased that he finally “gets the girl” in this one - or so it would seem - and still isn’t really concerned that he wants to cut off the arms and legs of his love interests when his plans go sideways. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 12

E

Sarah and Mary are thrilled to see Dr. Pepper resurface alive and well, even remotely, in this week’s episode of MAFS. Sarah is relieved at the limited airtime Chris receives, however, she remains highly annoyed with Paige’s inability to point the finger at him. Mary is concerned that the “D” is as crucial to Clara’s survival as oxygen at this point — without it, she’s not going to make it. Erik’s controlling behavior is a concern to Sarah and Mary; he’s stolen Virginia’s sparkle and they’re not happy about it. The girls are done with Haley’s hat show and both feel pretty good about Baby-Voice Briana and Champagne Vinny — but that’s pretty much it. Deadly Confusions (Netflix Movie)

E

This week’s recap of the trending Netflix movie, “Deadly Illusions” is a lot. A lot of what? We’re not really sure. A lot of work, definitely. Sarah and Mary can confirm that they both, in fact, watched the movie, but that’s pretty much it. Mary is floored that anyone over the age of 18 would enter a dressing room with another adult to try on bras, while Sarah is intrigued with the main character’s cigar habit and questions her judgment for smoking them inside her house. Nobody knows who’s looking after the kids this entire film, since the nanny is too busy seducing the parents. The plot is all over the place, leaving Sarah and Mary feeling as though they blacked out as often as the main character. The girls decide that nobody actually knows wtf happened at the end, including the writers. Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 11

E

The one month anniversary of the couples has Sarah and Mary feeling all of the feels. Sarah is concerned that if Clara doesn’t hear an “I love you” or experience full penetration, she might not make it to decision day (or next weekend for that matter). Mary is officially over Haley pretending to put in effort but is thankful that Jacob was at least able to enjoy a nice steak. Sarah and Mary were impressed with how smoothly Champagne Vinny was able to surprise Briana with a boat ride and that Briana limited her “baby talk” to only once during the outing. The girls are pretty much done with Chris AND Paige at this point; they can both take a hike. Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts. Paddle Bored to Death (Lifetime Movie)

E

This week’s Lifetime movie — the accurately titled, “Deep Blue Nightmare” — has Sarah and Mary questioning if Lifetime really knows much about the ocean, maritime safety, or life in general. Guys, it really was a nightmare. Mary’s convinced they sourced the shark from a Chuck E. Cheese robot graveyard, and she will never accept that anyone would choose to kayak in open seas - especially for hours at a time. Sarah is jazzed with Michael Madsen’s appearance, but is puzzled as to why he’s constantly calmly seated at a kitchen table while his daughter is being circled by a Great White — not to mention his extremely limited understanding of leaving rambling messages on dying cell phones. Sarah and Mary also agree that bringing a makeup artist to an underwater photo shoot is pointless. Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 10

E

Everyone is jazzed to see Dr. Viviana has surfaced in this week’s episode, however, Sarah’s less than thrilled with the lackadaisical guidance she offers Paige in dealing with the King of the Bad Eggs, Chris. Mary’s annoyed with Virginia’s need for password transparency and also with Haley and Jacob for giving themselves gold stars for platonically sharing a bed. Sarah and Mary wonder if Clara will ever triumph over penetration frustration and if they should maybe form a search party for Dr. Pepper. Champagne Vinny and Briana play another stupid game that has the girls questioning the origin of the sickly-sweet “baby voice.” Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts. Deadly Wiping Game (Lifetime Movie)

E

This week’s recap of Lifetime’s “Deadly Dating Game” had Sarah and Mary gasping for breath from laughing, while sifting through the wayward plot-lines. Sarah is certain that falling down one step would not lead to death - and wants to know how someone gets shoved to the ground by absolutely nobody. Mary accidentally tries her hand at “baby talk” — and even gives her all for a wildly mediocre Madonna impersonation. The ladies agree that stalkers might not be all that bad when it comes down to it... Lifetime stalkers anyway. Who wouldn’t like an unsolicited cupcake? Public restroom etiquette & knowledge is freely given, and a conversation about which way to wipe comes out of nowhere. You’re welcome! Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 9

E

Week nine has some familiar feels as Chris still sucks big time and Vinny’s zero-to-one-hundred temper rears its head, again. Sarah notes that Virginia’s lost a bit of her easy-breezy sparkle, but affirms they’re kindred spirits when it comes to mimosas. Mary discovers her love for Clara, but acknowledges it probably has more to do with donuts and gas station palates than anything else. Sarah and Mary are done making excuses for Paige’s inability to walk away from one of the BIGGEST d-bags on planet earth, and also offer an important PSA about nail shape. SpongeBath NoPants (Lifetime Movie)

E

This week’s recap of Lifetime’s “Dangerous Medicine” is a doozy. Mary has a hard time believing an 18-year-old guy would have any gripe at all about getting a massage and sponge bath from a hot nurse. Sarah introduces Mary to another phrase for “pitching a tent” that makes her blush. Mary also has a beef with Daphne’s insistence on conveniently baring her midriff. Sarah and Mary agree they’d be in big trouble if their lives depended on knowing the whereabouts of gas line hookups or utility panels, and wonder if Tony’s mom couldn’t have taken a day or two off from her jet-setting career after he son lost the use of his legs. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 8

E

Week eight has the couples attempting to live as man and wife…whether they like it or not. Sarah is impressed with the candor of friends and family sharing direct and honest feedback since the experts seem to be anywhere other than available to the couples for advice or guidance. Mary worries that Erik is taking on a “daddy” role which truly makes her sick to her stomach, Daddy. Sarah and Mary concur that Ryan needs to stick it in Clara before she turns her attention to literally ANYONE on her next flight. And of course, Chris, the bad egg he is — is more rotten than ever. Hold Me Closer, Tiny Stripper (Lifetime Movie)

E

This week’s podcast feature, LMN’s “Brutal Bridesmaids,” was just that -- brutal. Mary wasn’t happy with the bride’s personality right off the bat, when she ham-handedly knocked the engagement ring into a river without displaying even the smallest level of shock or remorse. Sarah was less than pleased that a full grown adult character was named “Binky,” however, she thoroughly enjoyed her fashion sense. Sarah and Mary were convinced that there couldn’t have been an actual written script with how uneventful this movie was up until the last ten minutes. They were, however, quite thankful for the appearance of a small-scaled stripper cop to jazz things up. Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts. Married at First Sight, Season 12, Week 7

E

Week seven has the couples moving into their shared, neutral-territory apartments — some with a more positive outlook than others. Sarah questions whether Haley’s aversion to Jacob’s love for the 80’s is merely a front disguising her true revulsion of his entire being. Mary is concerned that sweet, easy-going Vincent is actually an angry volcano that is about to erupt all over Briana. Sarah and Mary are relieved with the appearance of Pastor Cal, but are quickly incensed that he has an actual therapy session with Paige rather than performing a rescue mission. The girls also clear up a misunderstanding about Marie Callender’s that Mary would only describe as “embarrassingly delightful.” Subscribe, follow, like, and review wherever you get your podcasts.
