It was the prosecution’s final day of testimony and they saved the best for last. The family of a 1989 murder victim speaks out moments after her murderer was executed. The state of Florida put 58-year-old Mark Allen Geralds to death by lethal injection Tuesday night. It was a complicated, technical day of blood evidence highly important to the prosecution’s case, but the problem was, it was difficult for anyone other than a forensic scientist to absorb and understand the testimony. Walshe’s attorneys were able to keep things simple on cross examination though, getting the state’s witnesses to admit two very important things to the jury. One of, if not THE largest jury award for a wrongful condition was given to a man who spent 4 decades working to exonerate himself. Earlier this year Darryl Boyd died from pancreatic cancer just months before he was finally set to go to trial, suing the city of Buffalo after spending decades behind bars for a murder he did not commit. Boyd was one of the so called “Buffalo 5”, teenaged black man all wrongfully accused in the robbery and murder of a white man. It was an eventful day 4 of the Brian Walshe trial today, with the man who was having an affair with Ana taking the stand. After going through hotel security footage, Rosemont Police say Tara Reid’s drink was NOT tampered with while she stepped away for a cigarette. Videos circulating online show the 50-year-old actress out of control and seemingly wasted, eventually taken from the hotel bar in a stretcher to a nearby hospital. Reid says she still believes she was drugged, claiming she only had one glass of white wine that evening. 22-year-old Rebecca Park was 38 weeks pregnant when she went missing in early November. 3 weeks later her body was found by her father with her unborn child cut out of her womb. This week, police charged her biological mother and stepfather with murdering Park and her baby, but right now, investigators still haven’t found the baby’s remains. Further complicating this disturbing story, police have also arrested Park’s 21-year-old sister and her own fiancé and father of her child. Day 2 of the Brian Walshe trial revealed more shocking and damning searches made from the devices in Walshe’s home in the hours and days after his wife’s disappearance. Open AI has officially responded to a lawsuit filed against the company for the tragic death of 16-year-old Adam Raine. Raine died by suicide after his parents say ChatGPT discouraged their son from seeking help, offering to help him write a suicide note and gave him advice on how to set up a noose.  Open AI says Raine, at 16, was prohibited from using the chatbot in the first place, as users must be 18-years-old. The company also says Raine bypassed ChatGPT’s safety measures to use the chatbot for suicide or self harm. Amy and T.J. go over some of the frightening text messages between Adam and ChatGPT that his parents say prove their son was encouraged to die by suicide. Family members are anxiously waiting for answers in the murder of 18-year-old Anna kepner aboard a Carnival Cruise Ship earlier this month. Authorities haven’t officially named a suspect yet, but we’re now hearing from Kepner’s aunt, her grandparents and her own father about their suspicions. While none of them have directly accused Kepner’s 16-year-old step brother of murder, they have all questioned his involvement. Kepner’s aunt said her niece fought for her life and the family is in turmoil waiting for an arrest. Police are officially investigating claims Tara Reid has made that someone spiked her drink over the weekend at a hotel bar just outside of Chicago. Videos emerged of Reid looking wasted and out of control, after she says she only had a single glass of wine that she briefly stepped away from to smoke a cigarette. She was eventually taken out on a stretcher and to an area hospital, where Reid says workers told her she was “drugged.” Reid says she can’t remember much and said the hospital was “vague” about what was in her system, but filed a police report which prompted the investigation.  Police say they are now working with the hotel to go through surveillance video to find out what really happened that night.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A Virginia high school football coach mysteriously vanished 2 days before his team’s huge semi-final game last week and now we know why. 46-year-old Travis Turner is wanted on child porn charges and using his computer to solicit a minor. State police were on their way to talk to Turner when they were alerted he was no longer at home and nowhere to be found. On the same day Turner went missing, the school where he works also announced that a staff member had been placed on administrative leave. 23-year-old Morgan Geyser has spent the past decade in a mental facility after stabbing her friend and classmate 19 times at the age of 12. Geyser’s story made international headlines after it was revealed that she and another 6th grader lured and attempted to murder their friend to impress a fictional online character “Slenderman” whom they believed to be real. On Sunday, Geyser was found with a 42-year-old man more than 100 miles away just months after being moved to a group home. Florida is set to execute its record breaking 17th inmate of the year. And while the guilt of 63-year-old Richard Barry Randolph is not in question, the method by which he will die tonight is, according to his attorneys. The trial of 50-year-old Bryan Walshe continues today with jury selection after the Massachusetts man refused to plead guilty to his wife’s murder.  Ana Walshe went missing on New Year’s Day 2023 and to date, her body has never been found. Prosecutors say Indiana’s Stand Your Ground Law does not apply to homeowner Curt Anderson, who fired a single shot from the top of his stairs, through his front door, killing a 32-year-old house cleaner who’s GPS sent her to the wrong home. Anderson said he feared for his life when he was awakened to the sound of someone trying to enter his home, grabbed his gun and fired. He maintains it was his right to do so under the stand your ground law, but prosecutors maintain that fear alone is not enough to justify invoking the law. It’s a headline three decades in the making. The executor of the O.J. Simpson estate has publicly acknowledged it owes $58 million dollars to the family of Ron Goldman, but the most the family might ever see would be between $500,000 and $1,000,000, and even that might be a long shot. The Goldman’s have to essentially “get in line” with other creditors, including the IRS, following the death of Simpson last year. This all stems from the civil case where Simpson was found liable for the deaths of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, the jury awarding the families $33.5 million dollars at the time. A Singapore judge threw 26-year-old Johnson Wen behind bars for rushing Ariana Grande in a social media stunt while she was promoting her new “Wicked” movie. Her co-star Cynthia Erivo heroically rushed to her aid, as Grande looked terrified watching Wen approach her and put his arm around her.   This is a woman who knows all too well what terror looks and feels like after her concert was bombed in 2017, killing 22 people. What an incredible story out of New Orleans over the weekend. 62-year-old Calvin Duncan has gone from being an 8th grade educated convicted murderer to an exonerated, college educated lawyer who just won Clerk of Criminal Court. Duncan spent 28 years behind bars, educating himself and helping fellow inmates before eventually being freed through the assistance of the Innocence Project. Tonight, South Carolina executes its 7th inmate in less than 14 months. Convicted murderer, 44 year old Stephen Bryant has chosen to die by standing with a hood over his head, as three volunteer marksman fire at him from 15 feet away. More than 20 years ago, Bryant notoriously taunted investigators and the daughter of his victim, Willard “TJ” Tietjen by writing “catch me if you can” on the wall with his victim’s blood. Police say over the next several days, Bryant went on to kill at least two more people before being apprehended. With just minutes to spare before Tremane Wood’s scheduled execution, Republican governor Kevin Stitt made the unusual move to accept the Pardon and Parole Board’s recommendation and commuted Wood’s death sentence to life without parole. Democrats from the House Oversight Committee have just released three of the most damning emails to date surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein saga. The Vail School District in Arizona has been forced to add extra security to protect teachers and students at Cienega High School after they posted a picture to their Facebook page showing a math teachers’ group Halloween costume. It was meant as a math joke, t-shirts that looked like they had blood stains on them with the words “Problem Solved” on the front, but it was interpreted by Charlie Kirk’s own organization, Turning Point USA, as mocking their late founder’s assassination. Even after the district posted an explanation and photographic proof that the teachers had worn the same costume the year before, some conservative activists and prominent national leaders doubled down, posting the teachers’ names, phone numbers and demanding they be fired. Robert Redford’s daughter’s boyfriend, Sid Wells, was murdered more than 40 years ago on the campus of CU Boulder. His murder was never solved and his killer, never captured. But now, Redford’s death has re ignited the focus to find Wells’ killer. Today the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board recommended clemency be granted to 46-year-old Tremane Wood. Wood was convicted of stabbing and killing Ronnie Wipf during a 2002 New Year’s Day robbery.
