629 episodes — Page 10 of 13
Episode 167: Drag Race Thailand Season 2 Episode 4 – Mother-Daughter
EDrag Race Thailand has a makeover challenge and we're here for it, Mary. We get straight men asking queer questions, Pangina as stained glass windows to Art's Madonna, and many mother-of-the-bride concepts. We highlight our favorite moments in the work room with the special guest daughters and go crazy for a lip-sync song that has us writing letters. Enjoy, Mary! Episode 166: Drag Race Thailand S2 E3 -Sang Thong – Ugly To Pretty
EThis week we get a recycled mini challenge, a Rigor Morris suspicious Maxi Challenge outcome (rare for DR Thailand), and Pagina Heals as Mariah Carey! On the runway, the queens have to serve two looks (again!) and we can't help but chant along with a past Pangina: don't be pretty, don't be pretty, don't be pretty, don't be pretty! The lip sync is a master class lead by (Queen's name redacted) and we were left fully gagged and fully in love. Episode 165: Drag Race Thailand S2 E2 – Under The Rainbow
EWe’re continuing on with our summer excursions at Drag Race Thailand summer camp. This episode features an (un)memorable mini-challenge, a maxi challenge win that leaves all but one queen in the dust, and a runway that will have you over the rainbow for all of these queens. Who will survive? Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 164: Drag Race Thailand S2 E1 – Reborn This Way
EHey Mary! Happy summer and happy pride. This week, we're beginning our release of the Drag Race Thailand Season 2 episode discussions. We gag over Art and Pan Pan, gush about Mocha Diva out of drag, and celebrate a runway look that all queers can see themselves in. A towel dress. Episode 163: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E14 – The Odd Finale
EIn the wise words of CeCe Peniston, finally! We’ve reach the end of Season 11 (and 6 months of nonstop Drag Race)! The final four bring their best reveals to this showcase showdown, from Brooke’s SHOE reveal to Yvie’s Free Britney bloomers, while Vanjie gets an entire segment to herself and Nina reclaims her “Meh.” Ultimately, the odds are in Yvie’s favor, and we’re so proud to see her freak frag (sic) fly as Current Fucking Raging! Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 162: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 – Reunion
ETo be honest, this episode is more about the island of Curacao than it is about the Season 11 reunion. We were both a bit underwhelmed by the highly-produced reunion episode, so instead of hating on it for an hour and a half, we plucked out the highlights, and diverted onto other topics like the gay wedding Johnny’s attending (in Curacao), the seemingly arduous task of DJ’ing, meeting Mary’s, and sleeping on Muriel’s Wedding as a Matreon movie. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter) @colindrucker_ (Instagram) www.alrightmary.com
Episode 161: Drag Race S11 Ep 12 – Queens Everywhere
EAfter a season full of surprises (lest we forget last week's tragic hero elimination of Nina West), this week's final challenge felt like it was covering familiar territory. A'keria's choreography journey, Brooke's musical risks and Silky's black panties showing all feel like stories we've seen before. Yvie is the exception, rebounding from a string of low performances to the top of the heap, while Vanjie proves she is the queen of making exits. Episode 160: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E11 – Go Big, Be Kind, Fucking Go West
ESeason 11’s narrative goes south this week with the elimination of Nina West—especially considering that it was Silky’s less than smooth lip sync that earned her the shantay. (And of course: “Meh.”) While we’re heartbroken, we’re celebrating the pride of season 11 this week with some of our favorite Nina moments. And also questioning the (admittedly fascinating) Silky narrative, the perpetual (and slightly uninspiring) rise of Brooke Lynn Hytes, and the vandalism of Vanjie with this week’s win. We untangle Wig Gate, enjoy another shot with Soju and close out the episode on a needed high note for our Last Chance Lip Sync. Go West, Mary! Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 159: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E10 – Dragracadabra
EWe feel a bit sawed in half about this week’s magic act, Mary! Nina pulls a hell of a rabbit out of her hat with her triumphant stage performance, but the disappearing act the judges pull on Shuga Cain is a real sleight of hand. Silky seems to have no new tricks up her sleeve, Yvie’s dark arts are losing their luster, Brooke Lynn’s mom made our lashes vanish with an emotional video message, A’keria is spellbinding despite a flighty interpretation of the runway theme and Vanjie conjures up one more chance to prove herself with some bewitching caftanography. Episode 158.5: *BONUS* An Interview With Ross Mathews

Episode 158: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E9 – L.A.D.P.
ERescue 911! Somebody save this episode! Okay, so this week’s improv challenge was no crime against humanity—A’keria and Brooke are certainly innocent!—but in the lineup of Season 11’s episodes, this one is certainly suspect. Silky is practically bugging the judges to serve time in the Bottom 2, Nina and Shuga struggle with being bystanders in their scenes, Yvie is a star witness to A’keria’s winning turn and someone needed to call in Animal Control on Plastique and Vanjie. The cat fight turns into a Bottom 2 lip sync, but was the wrong queen sent away? We plead the fifth.... Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 157: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E8 – Snatch Game At Sea
EAhoy, Mary's! This season's Snatch Game is hitting the high seas (because it's a great way to tie in their sponsor?). Nina West does a first class job of teaching the children about both Harvey Fierstein AND Joanne Worley, but Silky sets a course for victory with TS Madison (or is that Silky in a 22 inch wig)? It's queen overboard for Brooke's Celine and Vanjie's "cash me outside" meme of the moment, but Yvie's wishy-washy Whoopi keeps us from getting the inevitable Branjie lip sync just yet. Also: A'keria gets a life preserver from home, Ru points at the stars, Nina's boy drag gets cruised and I managed to go this entire episode description of vaguely nautical puns without making a single poop deck reference. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 156: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E7 – From Farm To Runway
EPlants on the runway! This week’s design challenge has the queens feeling their oats, wheats, grains, thins and oatmeal—and a whole array of other food groups—to create high fiber fashion on the runway! Plastique gets three mommies, Yvie gets fed up, Shuga gets fed, RaJah isn’t afraid to bark, Silky isn’t as smooth as she thinks, A’keria is your aunt who plays football, Nina West is Snoopy, Vanjie sounds off in Untucked and Brooke wastes no time showing personality with those reaction shots. Plus: Alyssa Edwards is here to help water this crop of queens with runway advice, and RuPaul tills the soil for another Emmy. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 155.5: *BONUS* – An Evening With Drag King Vigor Mortis
EMary, please welcome to the stage, New York City's beloved Drag King: Vigor Morits. We spent an evening discussing drag kings, gender, and more. It's a long discussion- but worth every second. He is a joy, a mary, and someone with amazing stories. Enjoy! Follow Vigor Mortis: @heyvigormortis on instagram and twitter. Episode 155: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 Ep6 – Draglympics
EGo for the gold, Mary! The olympics of drag are doing draglympics complete with fanography (fan’s back!), voguing (I’m so into voguing right now), and some light shablams every now and then. Yvie’s honesty is put to the test while Vanjie talks through her tears in the work room. Nina West brings us operatic drag while Scarlet cuts a rug and a dress to try to stay in the competition for one more week. While Akeria finally takes home the gold, Rajah qualifies through one more last dance despite her 3rd time on the bottom. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 154: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E5 – Monster Ball
ERuPaul’s throwing a monster mash this week for this season’s ball challenge. Most of these queens tend to serve more beauty than beast—and we’re not sure how half of them are trick-or-treating in those outfits—so it’s a runway big on ooky, but not quite spooky (besides Scarlet, who is somehow just safe this week). Ariel, like most mermaids, isn’t great on her feet, but was swimming away with that lip sync until that flip of the fin, and Brooke Lynn is, believe it or not, the only mummy on pointe in RuPaul’s Drag Race history. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 153.7: NUANCE – Branjie: Drag Race’s First Homance
EThis week on Nuance, we dive into all the goings-on in Untucked, including the budding buddying up of Brooke and Vanessa, Ariel telling the truth and Nina creating reaction gifs. Episode 153.5: BONUS! – Drag Me Down The Aisle (with Alexis Michelle!)
ESay yaassss to the dress, Mary! We sat down with Alexis Michelle to queen out on TLC's "Drag Me Down the Aisle"! Alexis, Jujubee, Thorgy Thor and Bebe Zahara Benet bring the magic of drag all the way to Lancaster, PA, to help a young bride-to-be not only look fabulous on her wedding day, but feel fabulous everyday. "Drag Me Down the Aisle" is re-airing on TLC on Tuesday March 26th at 9pm (EST), and available on iTunes and Amazon Prime. Episode 153: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 – Trump the Rusical
EThis week, there is collusion among the queens for a lip sync musical extravaganza inspired by both Grease and the grease fire that is current events. Nina West continues to win the popular vote, Ariel struggles in the primaries, and Brooke and Vanjie might be rigging each other's polls. The Divine Miss Minj makes an appropriately ginger cameo, Silky snags a win that could be considered fake news, and RaJah air guitars no less than three times in the lip sync but still gets the electoral vote from the judges. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter) www.alrightmary.com
Episode 152.5: NUANCE – Yvie Oddly’s Ode to Honesty
EOn this week's Nuance, we dive into Yvie and Silky's battle of principles (complete with a non-sequitur of a dress reveal), how important it is or isn't to know pop culture references, which diva we could host a televised prayer circle for, and who deserves to be awarded. this week's Best Supporting Actress. Episode 152: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 – Diva Worship
EPraise be, Mary! The queens are ministers of the good word of musical divas Mariah Carey and Britney Spears, but only one group can ascend to the heavenly safety of the Untucked lounge. Nina West, on the third challenge, has risen, and Vanjie is making the most of her second coming. But a vengeful Ru casts a plague of lip syncs on half the queens, giving Honey a hell of a time for falling from grace--I mean, the stage. Episode 151: BONUS! Alright Mary Live w/ Darcelle XV + Anthony Hudson (2019 Listen Up PDX Festival)
EWe had our very first live show at the 2019 Listen Up PDX Festival in February! While Portland has lovely people and delicious potatoes, it also has legendary drag, including the oldest working drag queen (with a Guinness World Record to prove it!), Darcelle XV! We had the huge honor of sitting down with both Darcelle (aka Walter Cole) and Portland's premier drag clown Anthony Hudson (aka Carla Rossi) to discuss what exactly is Portland drag, how the city's drag scene even started (it's largely thanks to lesbians!) and the experience of watching the queer community evolve through some of its most formative decades. This was a really amazing experience--a big thank you to Listen Up PDX for making this happen! @ListenUpPDX (Twitter) Follow Anthony Hudson at @thecarlarossi everywhere! Episode 150: RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 E2 – Good God Girl, Get Out!
EDo you smell Oscar buzz from this week’s double feature acting challenge? Yeah, neither do we, but People’s Choice Awards for sure to Nina West, Plastique Tiara, Shuga Cane, and of course this week’s Best Actresses — a tie on Drag Race, can you imagine?! — Yvie Oddly and Scarlet Envy. We’re then seeing stars on the runway with astrologically inspired couture, but it’s just not in the cards for Kahanna this week once Mercedes finally revs into high gear in the lip sync. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 149.5: *BONUS* The ABCs Of Drag Challenge
EAlright, Mary - we're taking the "ABCs of Drag" challenge from our friends over at Grizzly Kiki. We assign a quote, artifact, person, etc. to each letter of the alphabet as it relates to Drag Race. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 149: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 – Whatcha Unpackin’?
EThe wait is over, Mary’s! The Season 11 premiere is teeming with queens new and old—as well as a refreshingly re-engaged RuPaul. Vanjie is gunning for Narrator from the start—but we’re not mad at it, Mary! We’re also living for Canada’s Brooke Lynn, and are bringing our sweet tooth (sweet teeth?) for this season’s pizza queen. And then there’s Hurricane Silky, a cavalcade of Davenports, some serious BDE from Yvie Oddly, and the potential cast for All Stars 5 in the photo shoot. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 148: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Season Recap
ENow that both queens have been crowned, we’re looking back on our favorite looks, quotes and choices of All Stars 4. We also check the math on those report cards, share our final thoughts on the double-win and review the Best Supporting Actresses of Drag Race. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 147: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Super Queen Grand Finale
EAnd the winner is…well, there’s room for everybody, let’s just say that! All Stars 4 saved one more goop for the finale, crowning both our pizza queen Monet X Change and pageant royalty Trinity the Tuck in a last minute twist. We explore the arguments for and against the tie, celebrate the unequivocal Best Supporting Actress of the episode (if not the season) and discuss the inherent meritocracy of Drag Race and how All Stars changes the game and potentially the foundation of the show. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 146: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Sex and the Kitty Girl
EThis week on All Stars, the final 5 are brunching and bitching as the cast of Sex and the City (and their unnamed characters for copyright reasons) in a threequel no one asked for. Meanwhile, we couldn’t help but wonder… who wrote this script? But all is forgiven this episode once the topic of NUANCE comes up in the workroom! Then it’s a revival of Cats on the runway (plus one airbrushed lion), Janet in the lip sync, and finally, the Top 4 of All Stars 4. Meow, Mary! Episode 145: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – RuPaul’s Best Judy’s Race
EThe queens get by with a little help from their Judy's for this season's makeover challenge. The Top 6 are serving chosen family resemblance realness--though some are more like distant cousins or ex-spouses who once hosted a variety show together. We discuss how Judy Garland had (and hadn't) kicked off the Stonewall riots and find plenty of Best Supporting Actress nuances to nominate. We get into report cards vs. strategy, which runway looks sent us over the rainbow and why Naomi is a ninja star. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 144.5: *NUANCE* Meet The Queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 (Hot Take)
EThis week, our hot takes on the Season 11 queens have cooled just enough to discuss who we’re excited by right off the bat, who we’re keeping a curious eye on, and what trends we’re noticing with this season’s cast. It’s too early to call it, but we already know who we’ve got our odds on (hint hint)... Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 144: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Queens Of Clubs
EHGTV meets downtown NYC as the seven superstars still standing split into teams to curate the hottest party you can have in a cubicle on a soundstage in Simi Valley. Monet and Monique are putting the E.T. in meet & greet, Latrility are a’buzz with bee puns, Naomi carries the weight of Club 96 on her skinny shoulders and it’s last call for Valentina’s French vanilla fantasy. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 143: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – LaLaPaRUza
EPut ya lighters up, it's a RuPaulapalooza! Or is it a LuLaRuPaZa? A Lululemon Pizzeria? Either way, all the eliminated queens are back to duke it out in some All Stars lip sync death matches. Latrice isn't mad, but don't get it twisted, she is back to attack Monique Heart for bypassing her path to the crown. Is she possessed by the Spirit of Delusion, or just giving us the drama we've been asking for? Also, is Trinity nervous? Gia seems to think she looks nervous. Naomi bends but doesn't snap, Farrah works on her hair toss, Valentina channels her inner Alexis Michelle, Jasmine, for one brief moment, reminds us of her mastery, and Monet and Manila have the easiest week ever in Drag Race history. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 142: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Roast In Peace
EThe queens pay their disrespects to RuPaul’s dearly departed best Judy—the original pizza rat herself, Lady Bunny! In this roast of the living dead, Monet and Manila burn the house down while Trinity and Naomi are dead on arrival, Monique calls on the spirits, and Valentina’s on life support. Despite an instantly iconic Top 2 lip sync, the All Star rules are changing this week, and some familiar faces are back in the workroom. Everyone is officially gooped, but hey, that’s showbiz. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 141.5: *NUANCE* – Manila’s Maxi Challenge
EManila Luzon faced a true maxi challenge on the runway last week when her first choice for a runway dedicated to padding was deemed “distasteful.” We bring lots of question marks and exclamation points to the controversy over a period, then dive into some hot takes on who’s making it to Top 4 at this stage of the game. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 141: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Jersey Justice
EIt's disorder in the courtroom when the queens duke it out in a small claims court off Exit 7 of the Garden State Parkway presided over by the questionably honorable Michelle Visage. This week's improv challenge inspires some questionable Jersey drag, but Monique's ironbound commitment and Manila's new arc as the queen to beat take them both to the top of the turnpike. Latrice is feeling unpleasant at this point, Monet narrowly misses her exit and Trinity is guarding her state in this competition by maintaining a union with Valentina. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 140.5: *NUANCE* – Are We Done With Snatch Game?
EIn this week's Nuance, we chime in on the state of Snatch Game in the series and what the future might hold for this consistently anticipated episode. We then take a deeper look at Snatch Game, comparing how this season's all star queens performed on their own seasons' Snatch Games and how often past winners of this checkpoint challenge go on to win or get close to the crown. Do we officially have our frontrunners for All Stars 4? Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 140: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Snatch Game Of Love
EHappy New Year's Eve, Mary! The queens are looking for love in all the [blank] places when this season's Snatch Game is remixed as a Celebrity Love Connection. Trinity Taylor's stodgy Caitlyn Jenner and Manila's muppet-like Streisand shine while Gia Gunn hangs on by her fingernails as Jenny Bui and Latrice is once again not having it with this romper room fuckery, but this time as Della Reese. Valentina lives her telenovela fantasy in the Bottom 2, Naomi continues to ninja through the competition, Monet and Trinity try not to laugh through a produced fight and narrator of the season Monique continues to be gooped. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 140: BONUS! A Diva’s Christmas Carol
EMerry merry, Mary! This week's Matreon episode is a surprise Christmas open skate for all of our Mary's as we revisit a VH1 production of A Christmas Carol from 2000 starring Drag Race alum Vanessa Williams as the titular diva Ebony Scrooge. The movie is a total cheese log, but it's worth it for an oddly sexy Bob Crachett, some lukewarm acting from Chilli as this version's Marley, Kathy Griffin with her old nose as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and the seductive musical stylings of Desire. ("Heartquake" is guaranteed to get your sleigh bells jingling this holiday season, Mary!) Episode 139.5: *NUANCE* – Gia Guns, Farrah Roars, And Monique Wins Best Supporting Actress
EThis week on Nuance, we take a deeper dive into the workroom confrontation between Gia and Farrah (and Monique!), share some thoughts on The Vixen, and solve a musical Mary mystery. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 139: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 Ep 2 – Super Girl Groups, HENNY
EAlright Henny! This week the queens are auditioning as back-up singers for Season 3 sweetie Stacy Layne Matthews—well, sort of. Stacy doesn’t actually sing either of the songs. We’re not quite sure what she’s doing here. But it doesn’t really matter because the real star this episode is Gia Gunn taking aim at Farrah Moan. We also get to the heart of the matter with Monique, fantasize about Sister Act 3, wave a bandanna at Kacey Musgraves, lust a little for Leland and gag over a magical micro-moment from an otherwise mellow Manila (runway aside). And oh, that lip sync-- we were "into" it. Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: [email protected] Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) Colin: @colindrucker (Twitter)
Episode 138: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – Super Queen Variety Show
EOh say can you see, Mary! All Stars 4 kicks off with some USO realness as the returning ten queens kick, flip, tuck and—well, whatever Jasmine was doing—for an audience of LGBTQ veterans. Monique and Monet extend their trademarks into talents, Manila keeps it conceptual, Trinity teaches us a lesson and Farrah learns one. It’s a tame start in a season full of superstars, but we’re keeping an eye on Gia Gunn’s tendency for target practice, Valentina’s virtuous potential and Latrice’s wabi-sabi star power to keep things interesting this season.
Episode 137.5: *NUANCE* Holi-Slay Spectacular And All Stars 4 Cast Interview
EMerry Christmas, Mary! The Alright Mary aftershow is back! This week, we are diving into the Holi-Slay Spectacular (which we generally disagreed on), and then break down that incredibly awkward All Stars 4 panel interview the queens did with Carson for Build. Episode 137: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 – Snatch Game
EFor the reputation that Season 7 gets, it definitely has one of the series' tightest snatches--Snatch Game, that is. From Kennedy's rootie-tootie Little Richard to Violet's nail flying off as Alyssa Edwards to Pearl's grotesque interpretation of Big Ange, there's a lot to love here--and a lot to question (Why did Ginger also win this week?). And while Max delivers a dulled Sharon Needles, it doesn't justify the egregiously shady edit she gets on the runway. Also, she looked better in gray. Episode 136.5: *BONUS* A Queer Media Discussion With Kevin Phinney
EHey Mary! Our partners at Metrosource have launched their "People We Love" campaign in order to recognize the amazing queer people and allies in the media right now. We have Metrosource writer and interviewer Kevin Phinney on to talk about the campagin and reflect on queer media in the past, present, and future. We discuss Trick 2 and his interview with Coco Peru, John Waters' take on drag queens then and now, Hannah Gasdby, and of course, RuPaul's Drag Race. Enjoy, Mary! Episode 136: Drag Race Season 7 – Ru Hollywood Stories (w/ Nick Kochanov!)
EMerle's back on the judges panel and Nick Kochanov is back on Alright Mary! This week's wonky acting challenge includes Ginger in her element, Fame akimbo, Kennedy serving Twin Peaks realness and Kandy somehow still in this competition. Jaidynn gets an underdog story while Pearl gets away with murder on the runway, Max dares to go gray another day and Katya continues to give citrus-clutching brilliance in the confessionals. Episode 135: RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 – The Despy Awards
EDo I have something on my face? The queens compete in a mock awards ceremony showing off their banter skills in this week's Despy Awards episode. Kasha Davis shines as Joan Rivers before flubbing one word during the challenge, Katya's grapefruits over PearlGate are the size of pumpkins, and Max emerges as the kind-media queen we were looking for. Does RuPaul go in too deep to create drama within Pearl or is Pearl just not getting the "reality tv" part of this show? Colin and Johnny weigh in.
Episode 134: Drag Race Season 7 – Spoof! (There It Is)

Meanwhile, Kandy's not selling it and Pearl's toast from the get-go, but in a season shocker, a fan favorite it sent sashaying off into the sunset instead... EGood now, Maid Mary! This week, Nick Kochanov from Squirrel Friends Cocktail Hour puts on his best Colin Drucker drag and joins Johnny in recapping the infamous car-crash, Shakesqueer! We also cover Miss Fame's brand, Katya's confessional body language, Kasha's scene stealing, Trixie's glasses, Jaidynn's knee and Sasha's boob.
