We either stand with God or with evil—a middle ground does not exist. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson encourages us to choose to follow God, even when that comes with adversity. We live in a culture that relentlessly tempts us to sell ourselves for lesser things—money, power, acceptance, accolades. But God is looking for men and women who will stand with Him and His truth. This stance may put us at odds with the world around us, but it also comes with God's peace and provision. Standing with God builds our trust in Him—and as He sees us consistently choosing to be faithful to Him, it builds His trust in us. Does our faith belong in the public square? Should churches discuss current events? During this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson addresses these questions and encourages us to take God's truth into our culture, no matter the consequence. Truth is not always celebrated and well received, and the Bible offers many examples of people meeting challenging circumstances after delivering a word from God. We should not be surprised when this happens to us—our goal is to please God, not people. We have a responsibility to bear the truth, share our God-stories, and intercede for others. Pastor Allen offers insight on what intercession is, and why it's critical to the forward momentum of our faith and the growth of God's Kingdom. God consistently recruits unlikely characters to accomplish His purposes—and that should give us tremendous hope! In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Peter, his role in the early Church, and the instructions and warnings he offers us in his second letter. Peter and the other disciples were not perfect men when they were recruited by Jesus, but the Holy Spirit transformed their hearts, making them bold and uncompromising in their faith, despite cultural pressures. Studying their lives gives us insight that can help us navigate the deceptive time we're living in and encouragement to stay true to God's Word—even when it goes against popular opinion. Once upon a time, missionaries and chaplains were celebrated in the media, and our military was encouraged to embrace the Christian faith. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson offers stories that illustrate this truth and how people and organizations oriented toward God created a different culture than what we're experiencing now. Pursuing godliness, righteousness, and holiness will help transform our culture, bringing blessings to our lives and offering a beacon of hope to the people around us. Pastor Allen offers encouragement from 1 and 2 Peter, which Peter wrote later in his life, when he was seasoned in following the Lord through adversity. There is much we can learn from Peter's attitude and perspective as we persevere through today's challenges. Peter's interactions with Jesus should give us all hope; We don't need to be perfect to be powerful messengers for the gospel. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the Apostle Peter and his interactions with Jesus. Peter played a key role in many of the events in the gospels, often acting impulsively or speaking too soon. His life is a powerful reminder that serving God in an impactful way isn't based on our degrees and credentials—it's about being willing to humble ourselves, follow Jesus, and grow in our faith. The Church has an important assignment: To hold up the truth of God in the midst of our culture. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how God's judgment on our nation has begun to unfold, and the extent and severity of that will depend on our response. A judgment can be for you or against you, and there are many biblical examples where God withheld punishment from people and nations because they repented and turned back to Him. Pastor Allen offers practical ways we can respond and engage as we ask for God's mercy and blessings on us, our families, and our nation. She reminds us that we're in a spiritual battle and offers practical things we can do to increase our resiliency and grow our faith to prepare for what's ahead. When we share our biblical worldview, people react with either enthusiasm or repulsion—just like in the book of Acts. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses events from Acts that can help us anticipate what we'll encounter as we share our God-stories within our culture. God's truth evokes a spiritual response—people either accept it and are freed and transformed, or they reject it and move further into bondage and destruction. How do we position ourselves to receive the full blessings of God? It begins by purposely cultivating humility and rooting out pride in our daily lives—and that's what Pastor Allen Jackson discusses in this sermon. When we choose to serve God, be obedient to Him, and live sacrificially, our humility grows. But pride leads to our destruction. Pastor Allen offers several examples of people from the Bible who were blessed by being humble, as well as those who allowed their pride to remove God's blessings from their lives. God blesses us as we practice the behaviors that allow humility to emerge in our lives. What do you believe about Jesus? Do you know Him as your Savior? Do you know Him as a healer? Do you know Him as someone who baptizes in the Spirit? Do you know Him as a deliverer? Do you know Him as a restorer of dreams? Do you know Him as Lord—or do you still dictate policy to Him? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how being "lost" extends beyond those who don't know the Lord—it also applies to Christ-followers who don't know Him fully, losing or forfeiting the opportunities of their faith, due to their own choices and resistance. Our strength, power, and direction come from diligently seeking God, drawing close to Him, listening to Him, and following Him.
