This week on VGP, we exist!! We start off with side notes of our many many illnesses over the last few weeks, before diving into our mountains of news! Two guys and ten movies. No, it’s not us talking yet more James Bond. Though that will be coming. We’ve got something a little special for everyone. By that we mean we’re doing a movie that wasn’t in either of our wheelhouse and probably hasn’t been covered by a whole host of people before. We have Truck Rascals(1975). This week on Anime Pulse we got rude teachers, no new year resolutions, and reverse isekai. Up first Joseph was a good citizen and turned in a cell phone to the police, and Andrew asks the community what the best anime of 2023 were. Then in the industry news an ESL teacher in Japan tries to pass of being an asshole as an "American Joke", and theater staff are increasingly annoyed by the movie tie-in swag for anime movies. And then in the reviews Joseph reincarnates into the body of a recently murdered boy, and Andrew keeps accidentally bumping into the love of his life who believes all things are fated.

Line up folks. It’s episode five hundred and five. Which is always a bit awkward to type out. We were once told that the and in number was for describing decimal points. Yet it feels natural to write it out like that. Then when we go and check style guides and they say that it’s better to use numerals for larger numbers because writing it out wastes space. This week on Anime Pulse we got the annual Anime Pulse Christmas Gift Exchange, the worst anime of 2023, and Pro Mercy Joseph. Up first the IRL news has Joseph tooting his own horn about his Mercy game in Overwatch 2, and Andrew has been up and down the country all week long while playing a Meteoroid game on the 3DS. Then in the industry news there's just one thing worth mentioning, and that's a big name in anime who think he's still got plenty more to learn. And lastly in the reviews Joseph wonders why isekai protagonists would prefer magic and monsters over plumbing and showers, and Andrew is training to be the best Santa there ever was.

This week on Anime Pulse we got horrible gaming mistakes, no one in Japan knows what relationships are, and what is One Punch man was a hot older sister. Up first Joseph confesses to making a horrible decision to return to a game he swore off for good, and Andrew has put on his Santa hat to find all out what all the good little otakus want for Christmas. Then in the industry news some robo vacuums invade a temple, One Piece is getting a remake, and Japan is a very lonely country. And finally the reviews see Joseph reincarnated into another world with his hot older sister who wants to bone him, and Andrew invites a voice actress into him home after her apartment burns down.

More Bond for the Bond god. We’ve got a whole crate of Gold Bond medicated powder. Because all these movies are old and old people like talc. Plus it’s got gold right in the name so it’s almost related. We start off with our boy Sean in Goldfinger(1964). This is the movie where all the elements come together. If you’ve never seen a Bond movie, you’re aware of this through sheer cultural osmosis. This is when we have the laser aimed at bisecting a British agent and a heavy set man obsessed with gold. This week on Anime Pulse we got an invisible man, the big questions in anime, and warm weather in December. Up first Joseph enjoys the unseasonably warm weather while reading about an assassin who porks the demon queen, and Andrew is in Scotland with no connection issues at all. Then in the industry news we have a rare Joseph pizza as he talks about a man arrested for running over a flying rat, and Shibuya thinks they can get away with banning booze and fun for another holiday. Lastly in the reviews Joseph tries to be invisible but is hounded by a devilish girl, and Andrew stops short of killing the demon queen because of her massive plot.

We’ve gone and done it again. Forgone the usual schedule to stay on the topic of our favorite British secret service agents. No, not Christopher Lee. This week on Anime Pulse we got Thanksgiving afterthoughts, the last week of the Fall Festival Giveaway Entry, and the strongest exorcist without a dick. Up first Joseph says he's had a pretty solid four days off from work, and Andrew is seeking out the strongest plot armor in all of anime. Then in the industry news One Piece is so big that even the LA Rams want in on it, and the author and mangaka behind Hunter x Hunter makes a kind of Will in case of his untimely death. And then we have a special Gattai show with Joseph disgusted with an exorcist in another world, and Andrew goes all 16bit as he reincarnates into a pig.

This week on Anime Pulse we got the last previews show for the fall 2023 season, jewel encrusted Pikachus, and golf course food. Up first Joseph introduces us to some new manga he picked up and his trip to a golf course for dinner, while Andrew is trying to get the anime industry filled with a simple genie wish. Then in the industry news a real trash human being wins an Emmy, and Pikachu might have never of been more expensive than now. And finally our last previews show of the season sees Joseph with two undead girlfriends in another world, and Andrew cooks up some potions to survive China.

It’s time to get dried out from all the aquatic themed books we’ve done. What better place than Arrakis, Dune, desert planet. The Frank Herbert novel is getting another adaptation soon-ish. It’s a classic space opera where one family attempts to trap another on a hostile world to be exterminated. The mix of Muad’dib and the spice of the planet allows Paul to survive and thrive. Being a scifi novel, there’s a lot of backstory that Lynch wasn’t really able to fit in. Up first in the IRL news Joseph never wants to eat a Ghost Pepper themed anything ever again, and Andrew attended a friend's birthday and gets stuck due to a storm. Then in the industry news Areosmith gets their own Japanese themed snack, a Sugar Baby is in deep with the law, and Starbucks get an Osakan slang. And lastly the previews for the second to last time for the season show us out, with Joseph proclaiming he is atomic to a bunch of goblins and Andrew is beheaded for falling for the villainess.

This week on Anime Pulse we got solo Joseph, no news topic, and what may very well be the fastest Anime Pulse episode ever. Up first Joseph mentions how terrible the Pokemon Violet DLC was, and about how he is looking forward to going to Wendy's on Friday. Then in the industry news he talks about a man arrested for ninja washing a lady's underwear, and some Pokemon themed doughnuts found exclusively at Mister Donut. And then to wrap things up Joseph goes from being a cool bone daddy to a stupid kid that has to teach a girl how to kick back and enjoy herself.

It’s early September and we’re talking about movies. So that means we had to pick something fitting. Naturally this means we grabbed a Christmas movie from last year with Violent Night[2022]. Which stars the sheriff from Stranger Things. Sure he has a name but that’s how he’s stuck in our heads since he first appeared. He plays the Santa who’s going around on his yearly duty. Looks like we’re lining up for a long drive. We’ve settled on a driving club. A number five; five or maybe six. A very nice medium range club with an excellent driving force that’s a little dated. Certainly not the choice of some of the top players but very popular among the amateurs hitting the links. And finally we return to the regularly scheduled program with reviews as Joseph wants nothing to do with a pink gorilla, and Andrew concludes his time in the robot that is also his mom.

This week we got best original animes, a potential light at the end of the tunnel for one delayed show and some chunky cool new mechas. Then on the gatai segment Joseph goes to Isekai Fantasy school with a lovable Saint while Andrew makes the worst rental of his life (no refunds). P.s I also get pretty drunk by the end but I have edited out the long pauses for an improved experience...

This week on Anime Pulse we got Florida hype, being teased by your super sexy maid, and the coolest sunglasses in anime. Up first in the IRL news Joseph took a nice long walk, and Andrew has had a bit of an emergency. Then in the industry news we only got one topic, as Joseph was feeling hungry and went with some food news about Burger King. And finally in a surprising Gattai episode, Joseph the hero attends an event to become the next demon lord all while his hot blond maid lifts her dress at him and Andrew (does not) get back into the giant robot.
