Never hold a thought, never drop the Thread. Watch and listen to your mind. Notice when it's doing what it does. Notice its judgements, criticisms, projections, conclusions. Don't react. Don't respond. Don't try to stop them. Just notice. And then notice what else is present. Listen to the Silence that the thoughts are coming and going in. Feel that Silence... So if it is possible in ordinary dealings… So if it is possible in ordinary dealings, so why not possible spiritually? And that's a fact.
