Early elections start today! Austin McDonald is one of the two candidates running for the District 1 position. Austin finds inspiration in the stories of the local schools shared by his wife's family and his grandmother, a retired educator. Despite current challenges, Austin remains optimistic about the future of DeKalb County schools. He understands the importance of voting for someone who is both realistic about the present circumstances and optimistic about what lies ahead. Austin is committed to rolling up his sleeves and working tirelessly to address the issues facing our schools. He believes that with hard work and determination, we can overcome obstacles and build a brighter future for our students.
