Miriam Waldie
Miriam Waldie is a Brisbane mum who runs her own hair and tanning business while also running a National Pageant which she has developed over the last 7 years.
Miss Fit Bikini Model is not your typical bikini comp.
The pageant supports and empowers women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.
By encouraging a holistic approach to fitness, overall well-being, positive body image, and building confidence in women.
A core aspect of her business is also supporting and promoting Australian small businesses.
In this episode, Miriam explains why that 'Fit' looks different on everybody and that everybody is a 'BIKINI BODY'.
Her vision is to see that we as women have the opportunity to be role models and set a good example for others. It is all about that ripple effect and our younger generation when it comes to health, well-being, and body image.
After experiencing a bikini competition in 2015 her eyes were opened to the unfortunate consequences many women go through in the way of developing eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and an unhealthy relationship with themselves.
Thus creating an alternative holistic platform for women where they can still have a fitness goal to work towards, while they also learn to embrace and love themselves as they are, creating long-term happy and healthy lifestyles.
She believes in the importance of experience, education/learning from other women in business, and having a supportive network/mentors and networking.
Utilise and grow your network, support one another in business through collaboration, stick to your brand values, be patient, and learn from every situation that doesn't go quite like you planned.
