S2 Ep 25How to Love Change and Transform Fear of Failure, Rejection, and Mistakes Into Success – SOLO #25

E

Things are changing! AAAAH! For many people, change comes with a huge dose of fear (me). Fear of rejection, failure, or making mistakes (also, me). By the end of today’s episode, you’ll feel more supported and empowered to make the changes you need to (but perhaps have been avoiding due to that fear I mentioned earlier).Speaking of which: Big changes are unfolding with this podcast! Listen on to learn more about change in your own life through the vulnerability of the changes I'm navigating right now.In this episode, I explore the concept of change and how to embrace it. I discuss why fear and resistance to change can be so strong, and share a powerful saying from the Amazonian Huni Kuin tribe. I talk about developing a 'growth mindset' to help with change, and provide tips on overcoming the fear of change, such as understanding it's OK, committing to the change, staying consistent, and staying flexible with changes that may not unfold the way you expect them to. I also discuss my own journey of embracing change, and use that to empower you further with a real life example.Links to things discussed in this episode:Video on Growth vs fixed mindset: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUWn_TJTrnUMore on Ksenia Brief: kseniabrief.comImage of new Podcast LogoImage of Podcast Cover Voting results:Topic Summaries:(0:00:02) - Embracing ChangeExploring the concept of change, including why fear and resistance to change can be so strong. Discussing the idea that change is the only constant and sharing a powerful saying from the Amazonian Huni Kuin tribe, 'Eskawata Kayawai', which translates to 'transformation'. I dive into the role of the 'default mode network', which helps us to maintain our identities, and how asking someone to change their mind is asking them to take on a heroic journey. E

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by how complicated living a life of vibrant health seems? Always another diet fad, another bit of news about how bad fat is, then how good it is, and so on? Well, you’re in the right place! Today’s guest, Dr Gary Shlifer, has simple solutions which will help you to align with your ancestry and up-level your lifestyle.Dr. Shlifer is a board-certified internal medicine physician specialising in preventative care, nutrition/metabolism and anti-aging medicine. He brings his robust experienced with hospital inpatient medicine to his outpatient primary care practice in order to help prevent and cure disease for his patients. He is the founder of Evolve Healthcare in Los Angeles, a multi-specialty integrative medicine clinic focused on disease prevention and lifestyle optimization. He is also cofounder of Sapien, an organization focused on promoting health education and advancing health information technology. Through his companies and community outreach, the doctor works to promote his message of healthy living, eating and lifestyle practices. In this far-ranging conversation, we cover everything from the mistake of asking too many mistakes as a doctor, to how our ancestry is a great place to look for the answers to our health needs, to how important it is that we talk about, face, and embrace death to truly live…and much more.Towards the end, Dr Gary answers the question I ask in every episode about what We Are Already Free means to him in a way I found especially inspiring, hopeful, and empowering.I’m your host, Nathan Maingard, and, as a highly sensitive person in a highly insensitive society, I was very nearly crushed by my efforts to fit a mould our society just calls ‘being a good citizen’. Having navigated my own healing of depression, burnout, suicidal ideation and other lovely things like that, it’s my honour to help others like me to bloom into the unique beauty they came here to bring… through breathwork, empowering songs, stories and poems, inner life skills coaching…and of course, ice baths (sorry, I know I’ve been talking about them a lot recently, but seriously, they’re frickin’ EPIC!).Join The Tribe:You’re invited to become a member of the We Are Already Free tribe to: access bonus conversations with podcast guestsshare questions for upcoming gueststake the 5 Day Morning Practice Challenge to empower your daymeet and chat with other podcast listeners around the worldkeep the podcast AD FREE by supporting it yourself!Join the tribe at https://alreadyfree.me/jointhetribeSupport yourself, the planet, and this podcast:DOWNLOAD A FREE GUIDED BREATHWORK MEDITATION to rediscover the present moment.Heal yourself while supporting the sovereignty of indigenous peoples at https://alreadyfree.me/fourvisionsmarket (use discount code ALREADYFREE for 10% off your first purchase) (affiliate link).Sign up for the 5 Day Morning Practice Challenge to take control of your life!Book a free 1:1 discovery session to overcome self-sabotage, fear, powerlessness, lack of purpose, or anything else holding you back from living your truth.DONATE: give a gift of thanks to support the We Are Already Free message.<a href="https://alreadyfree.me/jointhetribe"...

Soak in the the energy of surrender, faith, trust, and love…this episode is for you.Welcome to We Are Already Free, a podcast helping free people and down-to-earth seekers to live their truth and be the change. If you’re done with paying attention to buy more of the life you DON’T want, and you're ready to reconnect with the curiosity, joy, and wonder that you knew as a child…then this podcast is for you.Based in the countryside north of Stockholm, Fia Forsström (known mononymously as Fia) is a spiritual singer/songwriter who, with her inspirational lyrics and catchy melodies, has a unique way of weaving music that empowers the listener to drop deeper into themselves and find their own medicine. Since the release of her debut album "Made of Stars" in 2016, Fia has been touring worldwide and continues to touch hearts wherever she goes. Building a solid platform through social media and word of mouth, Fia took her place as one of the leading voices on the spiritual music scene with ”Legacy of Light” in 2017 and ”Waterfall of Wisdom” in 2019. Both of them, like the debut, were recorded and released through crowdfunding. Since then, several EPs, singles and various collaborations have taken place and in autumn/winter 2022 she enters the studio to create her fourth album. When my sweetheart Carly introduced me to Fia’s song Shedding Skins a few years ago, it instantly became a soundtrack to my own dark night of the soul. It encouraged me to keep going, to befriend the most shadowy parts of myself, and to keep showing up for the present moment. I still listen to it regularly. Some of the things we get into in this episode include:Why making friends with your demons can help you to live a better lifeWhy turning inward is the greatest gift for ourselves and all our relationsHow spending time in nature is a recalibrationA simple way to connect with belonging, purpose, and faith beyond religionHow Fia's dark night of the soul turned her spark into a fireNear the end: Why you should be yourself, stay curious, not take things too seriously, and trust your inner knowingJoin The Tribe:You’re invited to become a member of the We Are Already Free tribe to: access bonus conversations with podcast guestsshare questions for upcoming gueststake the 5 Day Morning Practice Challenge to empower your daymeet and chat with other podcast listeners around the worldkeep the podcast AD FREE by supporting it yourself!Join the tribe at https://alreadyfree.me/jointhetribeSupport yourself, the planet, and this podcast:DOWNLOAD A FREE GUIDED BREATHWORK MEDITATION to rediscover the present moment.Heal yourself while supporting the sovereignty of indigenous peoples at https://alreadyfree.me/fourvisionsmarket (use discount code ALREADYFREE for 10% off your first purchase) (affiliate link).Sign up for the 5 Day Morning Practice Challenge to take control of your life!Book a free 1:1 discovery session to overcome self-sabotage, fear, powerlessness, lack of purpose, or anything else holding you back from living your truth.DONATE: <a...
