Ep 90EP 90- 7 Ways to Your Spiritual Awakening: HYPE is NOT part of Spirituality

7 Habits How to Practice Wellness for Free- it starts within your own mind//heart not from hype or marketing//sales: 1- Value your health especially if you and your loved ones have it - go inward with gratitude. 2- Learn to let things go - be easy - find the recognition of others in who they are through their morals and values - stop juding so much & find a way to be like water -- be still. 3- Be kind -- because you can always be kind know the difference between nice and kind. Nice is polite & fake af behind your back. Kind is genuine, real and tells you how it is but is always willing to help others. 4- Money is not currency that is of great importance. What will God say to you when you show up at the pearly white gates? 5- The human body - take care of it like you would your Porsche or your temple. Value health, prioritize it. 6- Wellness of the mind is the most profound work right next to the work in your heart space; start reading more books from Ram Dass, Thich Nhat Hahn & Eckhart Tolle 7- Research: someone's background to match their words and their inner being purpose from a projection of false reality verb (used with object): vet·ted, vet·ting. to appraise, verify, or check for accuracy, authenticity, suitability. Do your research on all wellness backgrounds and resumes. HYPE is not wellness, a large following is not wellness & ppl that overshare, overpost, over-promise - are more than likely praying on your vulnerability and want to make money off of your vulnerability. True wellness practitioners are found at the temple, church, on hikes, at the monastery, homeless shelters, a Chaplain , praying for others and not seeking attention, fame or money. Be weary -have your wits about you. And until the next time -- keep being kind, volunteering, go offline, loving & open- minded xx ck

Ep 80EP-80 How to Practice Spirituality & Relaxation in a Twisted World

Consider this a very non-bias and non-religious way to open your heart and mind to practicing a new art. Spirituality is a personal and open-minded non judgement based, no rules practice. It's believing in kindness, the light, the human spirit, nature, relaxation time in the morning, breath work, being a good person, even when others are not kind to you. Especially when others are not kind to you. How can we also promote more minority women and women in our fields and keep being more realistic about wellness? Create your own Maui Ranch. Free practices, not selling products or scamming others, not being a shitty person, not praying on vulnerable people. Spirituality is celebrating all race, religion, creed, being open to other's beliefs. non judgement - and open heartedness, and loving on those who practice good deeds. Esp when poor and scammy behavior is so praised in this twisted world, we can do our part to praise the light, the good and the kind. Those who look for nothing in return. Lest we forget - reward more minority women - pay them what they are worth -- hire more minorities, give more good people great opportunities! We must practice rewarding good behavior too & continue to do things that Grandma would be proud of, while using your brain. xx ck

How can we be better? By learning to self soothe our own emotions.. and we are completely self aware of them Emotional Intelligence: manage your own emotions in positive ways or to understand others emotions in positive ways: How can we better soothe our own triggers -- by being more self aware & by serving others, pay attention to the present moment & do the work to understand your triggers - they come from your past. work with kindness, compassion and empathy - be aware of others and the present moment - not just yourself each of us can do our own part - small habits turn into big changes the truth will give you the most freedom - don't allow others pain to penetrate you if you are able to help other women .. volunteer at Girl UP and the UN Foundation, The Salvation Army pray for them - every roadblock is there for a greater lesson, triggers do hurt - but dont let your past or other people make you feel so small. nobody should have to make another feel less than to make themselves feel more than, the math just won't add up. look up books: "How to Talk to Strangers" - Malcom Gladwell "The Untethered Soul" -Michael A Singer "The Power of Now" -Eckhart Tolle

Ep 69EP-69 Your 20 Minute 2022 Pep Talk

7 ways to clear the path for your 2022 make room for the new, resolve - I still believe most of us choose to improve our lives, for the better- with time goals 2022 write them down - three, six, nine, twelve months, check them off finances, get them in order be responsible for a change - let go of spending & begin the savings for future goals everything can be perceived as gray - its not black and white all is full circle & karma enlightens each of us - pray for those who choose to criticize you pay your dues - where can we all find good assistants this days? - put in the time before you give yourself a senior title thank those who helped you along the way, a simple prayer will do & pay it forward Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others." —Marianne Williamson - she's my all time fave xx ck

Ep 5EP 05 - How to make it BIG in Biz + Stay Real AF: The Art of Not Conforming

⚡the art of not conforming: My career, as an artist I went w my heart, even if it got smashed, which it did many times. As a female in the food industry, the pain/discrimination was part of my path. This year, with new endeavors + content w @SXSW, @Forbes, @Girlboss, @ariannahuff, @iamwellandgood Council + the new book @harpercollinsus Oprah Magazine, Today Show + Dr. Oz: I’m committed to sharing my story, in hopes you can see, a girl who started from the bottom, waiting tables in college, fit modeling to pay bills, paying for culinary school on my own, this girl does it all: Here's what we will learn in episode #5: Here are my Best Tips on "Making Shit Happen": 1- Execution trumps all talk. If you want to be a killer, you need to produce. Anyone can talk or troll, but it takes a true artist to pick up the brush, the mic, the camera, the knife, the pen + get going. DO SOMETHING, just start. 2- Ignore the haters. If I listened to all the mean shit people laid on me for years, I'd never equate to anything. You have to ignore+remember that's about them, not you. Pray for them. 🙏🏼 3- Integrity+Grit: those two things set me apart from the rest. I always did my best & never cut slack. I'm as hard on myself as I am my team. I expect excellence, that's what the reader deserves. Recipes that work, images that captivate, content that matters! Writing that changes the world, and evokes emotion, connection + action. That's what grit+integrity do. I write ALL of my own work, recipes, my site, my newsletters, I produce/direct each of my books & shoot my own content/videos⚡the art is in the artist. 4- Skills: I learned them. I went to culinary school at 22 -- I was young+thirsty. I worked in restaurants +production for years, I educated myself on Japan, nutrition+wellness. I didn't come from money, I had to teach myself skills. Much like Japan, a country w no natural resources; they were out of luck- until they realized SKILL was what they could offer the world. Guess what? At the size of California, they are still a world power today. Get some skills, use them, humbly+gracefully. 5- Humility + Grace: This is what my character is made out of. Mom + Dad taught me to love, to be kind, to be respectful. Although I hate rules, I respect everyone, even when they were shitty to me. Grace Always Matters. You will in this life, get what you give. Be honest, be real, and you don't have to conform for anyone 🦄 My new book, Kintsugi Wellness has 12 chapters on how to heal, mend, grow + become a better person + 50+ inspiring wellness recipes.
