Anita Ingram is someone who's had such a varied, successful career, and along the way, she's touched many lives. Most recently, on the Vocation Transformation podcast, she shares the story of how she transitioned from Assistant VP & Chief Risk Officer at the University of Cincinnati to pursue academia as a full-time educator at the same school. When asked about how she's bringing faith to the workplace, and what she's learned in that journey, Anita has a great deal of insight. "I learned I have to take my faith into the workplace—and I [have done] that through prayer. And I [have done] that through listening [to] what the Holy Spirit was telling me, and practicing discernment," Anita says. Char is someone who says that her job is her assignment from God. The role she's currently in is one she says that she feels she was not necessarily entirely qualified for, however Jesus told her to apply anyway. "It was something at that job [Jesus] needed me to get out of the job, or the job [would] get out of me," shares Char when reflecting on her journey. Ruth Gholz is our next guest on Vocation Transformation, and her story will inspire you to live out your work life for the Lord. Ruth has been a nurse for more than 40 years, and she's someone who is deeply passionate about the profession. After her mother (who was also a nurse) passed from cancer, Ruth shares that it prompted her to become an oncology nurse. "I made a commitment to myself to make a difference in the lives of people who have cancer," says Ruth. Listen to hear Ruth describe when the "light bulb" went off for her that her spiritual faith could be fully integrated into the way she does her work. As an Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse specialist, Ruth shares stories on the podcast of when she has experienced God in her work. "We, as nurses, talked about it every day."
