From extended B-Roll footage, unnecessary interviews and lack of overall material, the new batch of episodes are about 20 minutes too long. There was a method to the original show's madness. There was a reason the original show was an anthology of several cases per 1-hour episode. It was a formula that worked very well. Sadly, however, in another attempt to fit the modern mold, the new Unsolved has missed the mark by attempting to re-make the show in the image of the played-out "docu-series" format. This is just our opinion though and if you look at all of our 1-star ratings on iTunes we're clearly not credible. Next we have one of the most clearest mislabeling of deaths in military history. LaVena Johnson supposedly committed suicide while stationed in Balad, Iraq. None of the facts, however, back up that statement. This case goes much deeper into America's addiction to contractors and mercenaries. These people are para-military for-hire who do not fall under the same jurisdiction as American military. In this week's episode we cover the mysteries case of Taylor Kramer, former bass player for the psychedelic rock band Iron Butterfly (Ina-gada-davida bayyybayyy!). After Kramer retired from the rock world he became successful in the world of technology. Kramer had developed a, at the time, state of the art program that could find missing children. As time went on, however, Kramer started experiencing delusions and became more paranoid. Eventually Kramer went missing, leaving his grieving wife wondering what went wrong. Next we discuss the heart warming case of Michele West. As a teenager, West ran away from home and while on a Greyhound was concvinced by three men, who at first she perceived as frightening, to return home. Not only did these men help convince her to return home but they protected her on her journey. Magnotta became infamous after anonymously posting videos of himself torturing cats. This infuriated enough people that a Facebook group was formed and some amateur (or not so amateur) sleuthing was done. Eventually this savvy Facebook group tracked down Magnotta and tried to get police involved. The police were slow to act until Magnotta switch from harming animals... to harming humans.
