David is back to promote three new upcoming history courses. Oral history is becoming increasingly popular here at UCSC since it emphasizes history projects geared toward the public. Cameron Vanderscoff, UCSC alum and independent oral historian, History Professor Kat Gutierrez, and David, a History Phd Candidate, are teaching stand-alone oral history courses. However, there is a recommended order in taking all three if you want to learn foundational knowledge about oral history, oral history through a public research initiative, and podcasting and oral history.
