What's more extreme then hardcore? DEATHCORE! If you don't know what that is then you are not alone so join Mister Brock as he brings on deathcore vocalist Ray Walsh to give him a run down on the industry. Ep 29Plugging Away With Rich Da Plug

Long before Twin Cities Double Up was a thought and back in the days before my house burnt to the ground, I had a neighbor named Rich Da Plug. He was always great for a quick chat on the walk to the mailbox or to haul your garbage cans off the curb before you got home from work. Unfortunately, our paths diverged, and we lost touch for years, but the stars aligned, and we reconnected, and I thought what better way than to catch up on an air during an episode of the show. Tune in as Rich shares his experience with the talented up and coming artists he works with at the High School for Recording Arts in St. Paul which just celebrated another one of their graduates winning a Grammy. As always, we end with a session of burning questions and seeds are planted for future collaborations.

King of the Panda Style, Erik Only, joins Mister Brock in studio for a chat about the finer things in life like how to dispose of a dead body and favorite smells. We hear about the beefs the Panda man currently has in the industry and make sure to call out our enemies by name. Mister Brock heads north to LogJammerz to meet up with tattoo artist Deven Current, owner of Lucky Duck Ink and Art. Last September, we watched his shop take home fifteen awards at the Ink Fusion Expos and I have been dying to catch up with him since. Lucky Duck Ink and Art is quickly making a name for itself, and we want to know the secret to their success. They may have even caught the eye of a Minnesota legend (with a little nudge from Mister Brock) who pops in for a cameo to try to get himself a little piece of the Lucky Duck action. That's right, Shaun Weiss (Goldberg the Goalie from the Mighty Ducks) shares some words of encouragement for the shop on this very special Holiday episode of Twin Cities Double Up.

Ep 24You Can't Spell Wrestling Without Michael Pam

What happens when two great podcasters collide? Not sure. But if you tune in to this week's episode you will find out what happens when Michael's Corner and Twin Cities Double Up team up for the first time ever! Michael is well known throughout the independent wrestling world in the Twin Cities and it's safe to say if you have been to a local show, you have seen him front row. He is the one screaming the loudest and bringing the most heat and often times a heel's worst enemy. Luckily, outside of the ring, Michael is one of the kindest, huge hearted people I know who lives for bringing joy to others as much as he loves wrestling. I'm happy to have him on as a guest, but happier to call him one of my closest friends in the industry. Listen as we finally give Michael his platform to tear apart a certain WWE game and hear my friend Timbo Slice swing by with some of his homemade barbeque sauce.

Ep 22Despite Jason Rage, I am Still Just a Rat in a Cage

The Rage is back in the studio for another round on Double Up. When we last spoke, Jason Rage was just beginning to make a name for himself in the industry and still a little wet behind the ears but since then we have seen a massive transformation both physically and in general demeanor for this young psychopath. Not only this, but he has since held a title belt triumphantly over his head and is facing off to do it again for the NLW Championship belt the following weekend. We take time discuss the hardcore match held between him and Icarus Alexander that had the crowd cringing in horror, as well as the diet and exercise routine that has been the backbone to his success in the ring. You do not want to miss this epsiode, or better yet, check him out live, in person, at the next Northern Lights Wrestling event!

Ep 21Mo' Money Mo' Problem (Don't Worry, We're Taking it Back)

Where there's smoke there's fire and where there's huge up and coming talent in the wrestling industry, there's Money Miguel. Twin Cities Double Up gets their first official interview with this rising star and we are seeing a different side of this young man. He is looking to break from the rookie status and establish himself as a staple in the industry and is not afraid to let people know, starting with his old mentor Rampage Santana (who may or may not pop in for a quick brrt brrt brrt). You do not want to miss this episode that we recorded at not one but two different wrestling promotions this week. Thank you to Iron Heart Pro and Doghouse Wrestling as always for letting us be a part of the fun and make sure you tune in as we continue bring you all the best interviews from all the best shows!

Strap yourselves in for what might be the most adorable episode yet. Before listening to the episode that we recorded with the future of wrestling himself, Money Miguel, tune in to this bonus episode where we meet his two biggest fans - Aaliyah and Juelz. These two are SUCH huge fans that they travel to every show with him, know him inside and outside the ring, and even live under the same roof as this future superstar. These two, of course, are the future super stars younger siblings and boy do they have a lot to say. We discuss our potential for making Santa's nice list this year, as well as discuss our favorite types of balloons. Call a dentist because this might be the sweetest thing Double Up has ever recorded and we have not even gotten to our interview with Money himself!

Ep 20Have No Fear, David Ali is Here

Twin Cities Double Up makes its debut at Iron Heart Pro and who better to kick off the new series than the one they call "Your Savior" - David Ali. This man has been a pillar of Iron Heart Pro Wrestling in Rosemount, MN and proves that raw talent combined with hard work and dedication make the ultimate force in the ring. Speaking of rings, we were able to squeeze this interview in just before him and the Killer Bae Heather Monroe exchange rings and become husband and wife. The interview takes a turn when Icarus Alexander crashes the set to usher a warning to all of Iron Heart and we hear a troubled David Ali respond to an incident involving Royal Flavuh and a pair of brass knuckles in the ring.

E

Mister Brock stays true to his word and heads to Dee Mack's chair for a tattoo. To add to the fun, we are joined by one of the most widely hated man in independent wrestling Johnny Oxbow. We have wanted to get an interview with Johnny for a while and what better place to conduct this interview than shirtless in the middle of a crowd of people while getting poked with needles. The interview seems to go off without a hitch until strange rumblings lead to tragedy and we witness the death of the ever-popular Cole Mind podcast.

Krissy and Dan from Three Tentacles in Hayward, WI join us for our first interview of the weekend, and we are even graced with a surprise drop in guest named Ben Jones. Who is Ben Jones? No idea but with a name like that you know he has to be a pretty cool guy.

Ep 15Yelawolf Goes to Meko and Mister Brock

E

We have reached the finale of our concert series as we pack up for the summer and it appears the sun is setting on the Cole Mind podcast. Another week without Cole and a whole special series void of his presence has the boys wondering if it is time to move on. A chance encounter with Yelawolf to end the night, however, keeps our hopes alive and inspires us to continue on with the podcast regardless of the form it takes. All of these recent episodes have been in preparation for our biggest opportunity yet as we co-host the Ink Fusion Tattoo Convention at the end of the month. Tune in for our special three part series live from the event where we interview local artists and perhaps even get a little ink of our own.

Ep 14Meko and Mister Brock Go to Yelawolf

We are slowly inching towards the final days of Cole Mind as we come to you, once again, live for our final show in the concert series. This time, we record live from Yelawolf and for the first time actually get the chance to meet the artist! This two-part concert series finale concludes with the boys meeting the man himself and realizing that just because he's got "yela" in his name, doesn't mean this guy is a coward. Tune in to hear us interview guests who have come from all over to check out this innovative artist and see who has what it takes to hang with the crew of Twin Cities Double Up!

Ep 11Who is John Galt and What is John Anderson?

E

This may be the most lack-luster show to date but people don't head to the John Anderson concert in nowhere Wisconsin unless they are ready to chill and escape the world. I didn't know who John Anderson was before this show and I still am not sure who he is, but it seemed like a lot of people were digging the show. It was a huge change from the Bone Thugs N Harmony concert we partook in at the very same venue the week before but we could use a little rest and relaxation and found it through the smooth melodies of John Anderson.

Ep 10We Put the Harm in Bone Thugs N Harmony

E

Is that a cryptic title or are we just recording live from a Bone Thugs N Harmony concert? You can never tell with Twin Cities Double Up, but one thing is clear; our hearts have been broken by our star's departure from our last project. Cole, if you learned how to read and are now reading this, please come back to us! We shot this episode weeks earlier and kept it in the vault as we watched the Cole Mind slowly cave in, but it is always darkest before the dawn, and we must release the failed (and unofficial) 50th show before we hit the Ink Fusion Expos.

Ep 9Is Meko's Guest a Homeless Man?

E

Twin Cities Double Up needed to take it up a notch as we have been too tame in Cole's absence so this week Meko hit the streets to find a new guest that would be sure to steal the show. As always, Meko does not disappoint and brings in his longtime companion "Pops" for a trip into the Cole Mind and we become more confused than ever. Pops shares his dreams for future laws as well as explains the mischief he partook in prior to the show. Strap yourself in for a doozy this week and if anything you hear confuses you, don't worry, it just means you're normal.

Ep 8Icarus Alexander Advises us to Steer Clear of the Sun

E

Some stars shine so bright that they burn out before their time. Other stars get mad and quit podcasts. While it's tough to say what type of star Cole is, we do know one thing, he is missing from this week's episode. That's right people, this is the first episode of Twin Cities Double Up where we are unable to dig deep into the mind of Cole because we lost his mind. Meko and Mister Brock had the pleasure of interviewing the original sun flyer Icarus Alexander this week and boy howdy was it a good time. Tune in as we find out what makes this wrestler strap on the tights every week.

Ep 7Benny and the Jets (who are named Brady and Dallas)

E

What's better than one guest? Two guests? Maybe on most podcasts but here on Twin Cities Double Up we keep our amps cranked to eleven and welcome three of the best and brightest for a fun fueled session of peacocking and shit talking. We are joined by the mega talented Brady Salay; the godfather of games, who has recently come out with his newest creation "Gray Duck"; a card game so fun that the FDA is considering adding it to the list of banned substances for those who hate to have a good time. If this wasn't enough, we are also joined by Dallas who happens to be one of the most stand-up individuals to ever grace this country and who People Magazine once called the most eligible bachelor to come out of Minnesota since Josh Hartnett (don't bother verifying this fact). Finally, as if the show wasn't good enough, Benny stops by midway through to say hi. That's right, we got Mister Brock's very own "car guy" and voice of reason to join us on the show after an epic RV run last week that had both Nascar and NASA turning heads. What happens when you pack this many cool guys into an episode of Double Up? You are going to have to tune in to find out.

Sep 22, 20241h 47m

Ep 6Professor Bear Teaches Us to Spell P.H.D.

E

Twin Cities Double Up gets schooled this week as we are joined by Professor Bear from the Wrestling Society Network. What is the Wrestling Society Network you ask? It's only the coolest collaboration of everything wrestling available on a bunch of major streaming platforms and you would be a fool to miss out on the incredible content these people are putting out. Will we someday find their way on to this network? Only time will tell. In the meantime, tune in to this episode to hear the Professor change Meko's mind on slapping the Queen and find out if Cole would say hello to Adele.

Sep 22, 20241h 38m

Ep 5Get Your Filthy Brits Off Me

E

Double Up goes international as we bring on guest Lindsey Jordan from the magical land known as the United Kingdom. Will Cole break through the language barrier or survive the culture shock on this week's episode? We weren't sure, so to be safe, we enlisted the help of our favorite guest host Steve Shanabarger from "I Still Call it a Lariat" to make sure Cole safely navigated his way through this foreign terrain. Tune in to hear the crew discuss their favorite X-men, share their worst gifts ever given, and we find out what favorite hobby Cole learned from a friend!

Sep 22, 20241h 34m

Ep 4Raging for Jason Rage

E

We take things up a notch this week as we are joined by local wrestling star Jason Rage and find out what led him into this industry, as well as, how high he hopes to climb in the business. Seeds may have even been planted for a new tag team duo if and when Mister Brock, himself, decides to enter the world of professional wrestling. Is Rage and Fury the future of America? You will have to tune in to find out!

Sep 22, 20241h 32m

Ep 3Keep Your Podcast Friends Close and Bring Your Podcast Enemies Onto Your Show

E

We make a new friend as we welcome the incredibly funny Steve Shanabarger onto Twin Cities Double Up to discuss his Podcast "I Still Call it a Lariat" as well as the finer things in life like why we call Cole's ding dong Don Cheadle and Meko's fear of possums. We have a blast riffing with Steve and think we have found our new favorite guest to bring on anytime we need to put Cole back in his place.

Sep 22, 20241h 36m

Ep 2Falling for Justin Fowler

E

We could not be more excited about this episode as we are joined by a legend in independent pro wrestling. All Steel Justin Fowler steps into the Cole Mind this week and we get to know a little about the industry from a true warrior himself. If you haven't seen the viral video circulating where he has to choke out a drunken fan who rushes the ring then check it out immediately then find out his side of the story found exclusively here on Twin Cities Double Up. Do Cole and Meko have what it takes to go toe to toe in the ring with Justin? Find out this week on Twin Cities Double Up!

Ep 1Cole Plus Meko Equals Mekole

E

The Cole Mind exploded last week and nobody made it out alive! After losing Cole for a full month the remaining members lost the will to survive and decided to let Cole Mind die but from the ashes arose a new idea. What if Mister Brock and Meko teamed up to create their own podcast where we got to know the people around us. How many great artists, business owners, visionaries, and heroes surround us who we walk by every day without ever hearing their story? Well here on Twin Cities Double Up we bring you stories from the people who make the Twin Cities and surrounding areas great. If you liked the humor and driving forces behind Cole Mind, you will love what Meko and Mister Brock have in store for you with Twin Cities Double Up!
