Guest Speaker Ep. 126: TRIY

On Episode 126 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome artist, producer, and label owner, TRIY, to the show! After taking a few years away from releasing music, TRIY is gearing up for the release of his next project titled ‘Who Played Who?’, and its first single “Better Off Friends” is out now on all platforms. TRIY discusses what he’s been focused on since his last release ‘Did You Forget’ back in 2022, which includes focusing on his label TRIY Records, compromised of artists Tailored Made and Bia Javier. TRIY also suffered the loss of his father, whom he talks about at length regarding his influence both as a person and musician. TRIY also reflects on his own fatherhood, raising two kids who also share in his love of drumming at a young age. He also reminisces on some personal stories of his early years growing up, which include him learning to play drums at his church, being cast in a movie in high school, and his musical journey ultimately leading him to Berklee College.
