Guest Speaker Ep. 147: KSAP
On Episode 147 of the Guest Speaker Series, we are joined by rising hip-hop artist KSAP! Currently a senior at Medford High School, KSAP is the youngest guest we have ever had on the show, as well as the youngest artist to be nominated for a Boston Music Award this past December for his music video “100 Miles”. Despite not taking home the award, KSAP reflects on what he still feels like is a win and a huge achievement, especially as he got accepted to Berklee College of Music shortly after. KSAP discusses what he hopes to learn there, as well as his goals for his future in music. KSAP also shares the deep connections he’s made in Medford, particularly within the high school community, and talks at length about the support he’s received throughout his young music career. He also praises his mother & grandparents for their encouragement and credits them for helping him become the young man and artist he is today. KSAP & Mike also reflect on the Boston music scene as whole, discussing what KSAP believes is a lack of mutual support amongst creatives, and how to potentially navigate the landscape and create positive change within the culture. On our first episode of 2026, we welcome rapper & producer B Cave to the show! B Cave shares his story of coming from a very musical family, but choosing to take sports such as baseball more seriously until he starting making beats in college. He then made the leap to move to LA right after his time playing baseball at Tampa University, knowing nobody and having no connections; he even lived in a hostile for 6 months. But B Cave persevered, and is now flourishing in his time out in LA, working with high-level producers such as Max Mitchell, and creating the duo 5TH YEAR with fellow collaborator Dayne Black B Cave is also fresh off of his latest solo album release ‘SAGE’ which features some of his best work yet, and also comes off the heels of his most tumultuous year of his life, which included a serious arm injury that forced him to take a break from music altogether. The album is really a full-circle moment for B Cave, and he shares the in-depth story with us. Guest Speaker Ep. 140: C4RP00L
On Episode 140 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome LA-based hip-hop collective C4RP00L to the show! C4RP00L is compromised of three friends Renzo Starr, Michael the Villain, and Kent Danger, originally all from North Carolina. Their journey started when they met at NC State as college students, and they quickly became acquainted one another and realized their synergy musically. Since, they have toured the country performing together, and also released three full length albums as a part of their ‘CREATURE MODE’ trilogy: “Vulnerable”, “Velocity”, and “Vicious”, each one representative of a member of the group. C4RP00L also performed in Boston during their visit in July as a part of our “Mind Flex Presents” showcase series at New Dia. SeeFour is fresh off a deep run on Season 2 of Netflix’s premier hip-hop show, Rhythm & Flow, where he made it all the way to the Battle Round, losing a tight contest to finalist Sura Ali, but received high praise from the likes of Eminem, Ludacris, Latto, & DJ Khaled. Guest Speaker Ep. 131: Termanology
On Episode 131 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome the hip-hop legend and Lawrence, MA native, Termanology, to the show! Termanology’s illustrious career includes a discography of 50+ albums, with collaborations that range from Mac Miller, Paul Wall, Bun B, Statik Selektah, and so many more. He’s even hit the Billboard charts on multiple occasions. Despite the fact that Termanology is a nationally known figure, his roots are still deeply tied to MA. On Episode 130 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome bassist, producer, and vocalist, Teeba, to the show! After just receiving a Grammy nomination for his production and bass work on Eminem’s latest album ‘The Death of Slim Shady’, Teeba has been working on music out in Detroit with renowned producer Denaun Porter for some time now. Teeba describes the journey of how he gradually became closer with Denaun over time, which eventually led to a placement on Eminem’s song “Fuel” featuring JID.
