Guest Speaker Ep. 122: juliana maria

On Episode 122 of the Guest Speaker series, we welcome rising pop artist juliana maria to the show! Originally from Gloucester, juliana discusses the unlikeliness of her musical pursuit, as she didn’t realize the vocal talent she had until she was casted for a musical in high school. Juliana began recording at PHX Down Recording Studios with engineer and fellow Gloucester native Ally Doody, as well as Josh Schuback, releasing her first single “LOVERBOY” in 2021. After nearly a 3-year hiatus in her releases, juliana is back in full swing, releasing two singles in 2024, the first being “OBSESSIVE”, and most recently “Just The Beginning”. She breaks down each of her 3 songs in detail, which include navigating the fallout of a long-term relationship, while becoming more grounded and confident as both a person and an artist. Juliana also shares her mindset in improving her songwriting abilities at this point in her career.
