On Episode 119 of the Guest Speaker series, we welcome Cambridge, MA producer and artist, Connis! Connis shares many aspects of his musical journey, including how he and his friends learned to make music in middle and high school on their own, in an era where equipment was much less accessible than it is today. Connis also details the house in Jamaica Plain he lived in for many years in the late 2010s which was considered an “artist hub” at the time. Connis details his upcoming collaborative album with Loe4t, and how he manages to balance his creativity as both a producer and vocalist. He also discusses how living in New York for a time impacted him as a performer, as he still frequents performing in New York City and its surrounding areas.
