Guest Speaker Ep. 113: Mikey DZZZ

On Episode 113 of the Guest Speaker series, we welcome hip-hop artist and PH Imbalance frontman Mikey DZZZ to the show! Mikey is a vocalist, and the lead producer and engineer for hip-hop collective PH Imbalance, who just dropped their new project ‘The PHI Tape’ which is out now on all platforms, and features the likes of Jeff Porter, I$aac Groove, Nayely, JOEY MORTAL, ramon., amongst others. Mikey discusses the near 3 year process of the tape’s creation, and the defining sound it entails for PH Imbalance as a whole. Mikey also details his early years as a musician which catered to a more punk rock sound before he fell in love with and transitioned to hip-hop. He also discusses the successes and failures of being a show promoter with the vast amount of hip-hop events that PH Imbalance has curated over the last few years, featuring many of the MA music scene’s best rising artists, and even a headlining show featuring Unohype. The guys also do a deep dive into Mikey’s love of film, including his favorite movies & directors of all-time, and even which movies have the best scores & soundtracks.
