It's a good method for trying to figure out certain kinds of empirical things. But there are a lot of problems in the scientific community, and one of them is the reluctance to acknowledge the results of a very rich history of psi experimentation. I discovered this in high school by reading the Encyclopedia of Philosophy entry on ESP. I did some research and I was shocked that so many people know that things like telepathy and precognition exist, and yet the larger scientific community tends to deny it to a certain extent—even though science itself has proven it seven ways from Sunday.And one of the world's leading experts on all of this is Dean Radin. He's the author of a long list of great books, including Super Nature and The Conscious Universe, which is a really good primer on these topics. He has a new book out called Real Magic, which I haven't read yet, but I'm intending to. He's been doing entangled photon experiments, among other things, and offering great commentary on his Twitter feed and website. So, hey, welcome Dean Radin. So Dean Radin...Here we are in a very strange cultural moment with a pandemic raging around us or maybe raging a little less than some pandemics in history have. The cultural issues around it are certainly raging. And the leitmotif "trust the science" is everywhere. Well, Dean, you do science, you're a scientist. And yet you've noticed that the scientific community, when it gets into sort of a groupthink bubble, is often wrong. So we could start by hearing your thoughts about that.Dean Radin: Well, science has an aspiration for the same as we see in the academic world for academic freedom. That means that you can apply the the tools and methods of science and scholarship to study anything that you want. But as we all know, the aspirations sometimes are not actually realized. And it's just as true in science as it is in any other enterprise that involves more than two people, which is basically everything. So science has its own sets of taboos about what you're allowed to talk about. It is definitely influenced by politics, and strongly influenced as well by business interests. And so I think one of the reasons why a lot of people today, in considering the pandemic, they're suspicious about science because there's also an assumption that not only are there external influences which determine what the mainstream believes—and by the way, there is no one mainstream, there are dozens of them—but also there's an assumption that when the scientists, especially within medical science, make a pronouncement, then that's the way it is. But that's never the way it is. Experimental science is always provisional and theories are always provisional. The reason why I think it's useful to pay attention to what science actually says is because it means, that phrase means: "Is there evidence to support the conclusion?" Well, evidence, too is uncertain. It's only at the stage when something turns into technology that we have extremely high confidence that our theories are correct. Meow! Surely you’re joking, Mona! I invited Mona Shaykh, a leading “woke” comedian and self-professed “naughty Muslim,” for what I thought would be a friendly conversation. After all, we’re both American Muslims, we both have an offbeat sense of humor (check out my satire), we both sympathize with underdogs and oppressed folks, and we’re both committed to telling in-your-face truth exactly the way we see it, social niceties be *#@*ed.My wife warned me: “What kind of Muslim is this? She’s flashing her body around, spewing her potty mouth, exploiting her background for cheap laughs, selling tasteless woke NWO crap. Don’t dignify her with an interview.”“Well,” I said, “I’m sure Mona and I have different takes on a long list of issues. But I love interviewing people who see things differently from me. We can discuss our areas of disagreement reasonably, so the listeners can gain a better idea of what’s at stake and make up their own minds.”I should have listened to my wife.Six minutes in, the interview started going off the rails. Shaikh told me two of her brothers had contracted polio from expired vaccinations, and the trauma destroyed her family. I asked whether that bad vaccine experience made her wary of COVID vaccines, mentioning the previous guest, Tom Breidenbach’s, long, well-documented list of reasons not to trust the “vax everybody” party line. Her response: “I’m sorry, are you an anti-vaxer?” From what happened after that, it might as well have been Julius Streicher asking “I’m sorry, are you a Jew?” (Except that Streicher probably couldn’t keep up with Mona’s profanity.)Unfortunately, Mona’s wish that COVID provide a final solution to the anti-vaxxer problem (starting around the 23 minute mark) might not be as far-fetched as it sounds. Nobel Laureate virologist Luc Montagnier agrees with vaccine expert Geert Vanden Bossche (among many others) that mass “leaky” vaccinations in the midst of a viral pandemic are sheer madness, just as mass “leaky” antibiotics would be during a bacterial pandemic, for roughly the same reasons: they put selective pressure on the pathogen to breed more virulent variants. Though it is unclear whether the vaccinated or unvaccinated would suffer the most under a worst case scenario, the closest real-world precedent is the case of Marek’s disease in chickens. What happened, briefly, was that mass leaky vaccinations of chickens bred ever-more-virulent variants that ever-more-disproportionately targeted the unvaccinated chickens. Eventually, the selective pressure produced a virus that was mostly non-lethal in vaccinated chickens, but killed all unvaccinated chickens.Personally, I wouldn’t wish a Marek’s disease scenario on a chicken, much less a human being, much less hundreds of millions of human beings. Today we're going to the rather complex subject of international economics, but by way of an analysis of empire. John Perkins and Confessions of an Economic Hit Man showed us the debt dimension of empire. Our US empire is the first empire ever that runs on debt more than anything else. And if you want to learn how that works, the place to go is Super Imperialism by Michael Hudson. It's been recently reissued with a new concluding chapter, and it pretty much breaks it down: It's a fantastic book, and kind of disturbing, too, that makes you realize how shaky the foundations of our whole world right now are. So let's talk about it. Hey, welcome Michael Hudson, how are you?Michael Hudson: Well, I'm pretty good, and it's good to be here.Kevin Barrett: Good to finally have you. I've been reading your stuff for years, and I just read Super Imperialism actually for the first time, I hate to admit, and it's quite a masterpiece. I would think anyone teaching a university course on these matters would have to assign it. But I'm not sure that it's mainstream acceptable enough to get that assignment. What's been the response?Michael Hudson: To this book? The problem is not acceptability. The problem is getting it into the curriculum. I was a professor of economics since the 1960s, and there's no way to fit either international finance or even money and credit, or the balance of payments, into the curriculum. I don't think the balance of payments, which is the key to the world's debt problem today, is taught anywhere. I was told that in 1969 and 70, my course was the only course in balance of payments accounting in the United States. Most economists actually look at economies as if they're done on barter. And money doesn't really appear because economists say, "Well, we owe the debt to ourselves, so it doesn't really matter." But the "we" who owe the debt or the 99 percent, and the "ourselves" or the one percent that things are owed to in America and internationally (are not the same). Right now, you're seeing crises erupt throughout the world. Argentina, again, is about to default or repudiate the debt that it owes to the International Monetary Fund that essentially serves as an arm of American foreign policy. And that's what I discuss in Super Imperialism: how the International Monetary Fund lends money to support governments that are friendly to the United States.Michael Hudson: And when the U.S. policy, neoliberalism usually, gets these economies in trouble, the IMF will lend money to a country like Argentina to support flight capital. It will enable all of the U.S. corporations in Argentina, and the rich families, to move their their domestic money in pesos or escudo, or whatever they're dealing with, out of the country into dollars. And then the IMF lets the currency collapse—and in fact, insists that the currency collapses. Because it says when if you can't pay your debt, the way to repay it is to impose austerity and lower your wages and stop investing in public infrastructure, stop government spending. And so the result of this policy of the IMF with the World Bank right behind it, is to make countries less and less able to pay their debts. And so they fall deeper and deeper into debt and more and more dependent on U.S. official credit. Imf credit and essentially debt is used internationally to impoverish other countries, just as it's now impoverishing the U.S. economy.Kevin Barrett: And this all raises the question of why you were the only one teaching this in the universities, given its central importance for history, geopolitics, and the way things really work in the world. And that's where I wonder whether there must not be some kind of political resistance in the form of a kind of a propagandistic way of pushing particular views of politics and economics coming down from the top. NASA whistleblower Richard Cook is the author of Challenger Revealed: An Insider’s Account of How the Reagan Administration Caused the Greatest Tragedy of the Space Age. After the much-ballyhooed “teacher-in-space” Challenger space shuttle blew up, killing all crew members, in January, 1986, Cook spearheaded the partial unraveling of the coverup by feeding inside information and documents to journalists. Giving the lie to NASA propaganda, Cook showed that the lethal problem with the O-rings was common knowledge at NASA, including at its highest echelons. The Challenger obviously never should have flown in such cold conditions, not only due to the O-ring problem but also because of potential damage from ice. But political pressure from the top of the Reagan Administration—and “customer” pressure from the Star-Wars-addled military—overrode common sense and standard operating procedure. The result was a shocking national tragedy, followed by a coverup featuring widespread perjury and obstruction of justice. The truth (“Reagan murdered those astronauts by insisting on an unsafe launch so he could talk to the ‘teacher-in-space’ during his State of the Union speech”) was so toxic that just about everyone eventually fell in line with the coverup.I sent Richard some questions in advance of the interview, and he offered tentative answers:Here are some questions (sorry about all the “conspiracy” stuff, but that’s my bailiwick).In what ways was the Challenger disaster emblematic of the creeping corruption of the 1980s? First half hour: Republican Party activist Rolf Lindgren has been organizing well-attended meet-ups in Dane County, Wisconsin—and educating fellow party members about 9/11, the New World Order, the Great Reset, the USS Liberty, the Pearl Harbor “Day of Deceit,” and other controversial topics. And is that such a bad thing?Final half hour: Ph.D. Metallurgist and venerable activist Joel Hirschhorn, author of a 9/11 Truth Manifesto, recently submitted an article to World Net Daily. Joel’s headline was “Data Manipulation Pushed Pandemic.” WND published it as “How 1 Big Lie from Fauci turned the world upside down.” Hirschhorn argues that Fauci, the CDC, and the mainstream media echo chamber deliberately confused COVID’s infection fatality rate (IFR) with the much higher case fatality rate (CFR). Hirschhorn quotes Fauci: “The seasonal flu that we deal with every year has a mortality of 0.1%,” whereas coronavirus is “10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu…The stated mortality overall of [the coronavirus] when you look at all the data including China is about 3%.”Fauci’s math doesn’t add up. Worse, he seems to be intentionally confusing the CFR with the IFR. While the CFR—the percentage of people who die after being officially diagnosed—may indeed be somewhere in the neighborhood of 2% to 3%, there are a great many people (such as yours truly) who catch COVID but never get officially diagnosed. Meanwhile, almost all severely ill people do get diagnosed and become “cases.” That means that the actual mortality rate of COVID, the Infection Fatality Rate (IFR), is probably about one-tenth of the CFR, i.e. around or under .5%. Ron Unz is America’s most accomplished figure in alternative journalism. If you doubt that, read his American Pravda series, look at his webzine, and let me know if you find anything comparable. According to witnesses cited by Hounam, American bombers loaded with nuclear weapons were less than ten minutes from hitting their targets when they were recalled. The miraculous survival of the USS Liberty, in the face of an all-out Israeli onslaught tasked with massacring the entire crew and sinking the ship, may have prevented World War III. The Liberty crew’s incredible, successful efforts to save their ship (and, it turned out, the world) may represent the greatest heroic military episode in all of American history. Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould call The Valediction – Three Nights of Desmond “a novelized memoir.” It details their 1980s discovery that neoconservatives and allied members of the War Party were mounting an ongoing coup d’état against American democracy. (That coup would come to full fruition with the 2001 9/11 false flag atrocity, but that’s another story.)The Valediction begins in 1980, when Ted Kennedy was challenging malaise-plagued president Jimmy Carter for the Democratic nomination. Spearheading the Kennedy campaign was former congressman Allard Lowenstein, “the driving force behind Robert Kennedy’s election campaign in 1968.” Lowenstein told Fitzgerald:“Get Ted elected and we’ll finally bring those CIA sons of b*****s that killed Jack and Bobby to justice. ‘Since you’re family I can tell you this. After the Lowenstein (and Kennedy) assassinations open the book, the action moves to Afghanistan, where another political killing—the mysterious murder of American ambassador Adolph Dubs on Valentine’s Day 1979—triggered the chain of events that led to the Soviet invasion and US-supported resistance. Dr. Alan Sabrosky USMC, “most censored man in America,” former head of Strategic Studies, US Army War College, returns to Truth Jihad Radio with politically incorrect takes a long list of issues, starting with 9/11—the topic that brought him to my radio show in 2010 to debut his “Israel did it” interpretation of the mother of all false flags. Ken Meyercord discusses his article “9/11: Controlled Demolition of Truth.” In it he writes:“I believe the planes were remotely controlled. One of the most telling pieces of evidence for this is the incredible bit of flying the supposed pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon, Hani Hanjour, performed. The maneuver he made—a 270 degree turn while descending thousands of feet at 400 mph—led air traffic controllers watching it on their radar screens to think it must be a fighter jet. More experienced pilots than Hanjour (not exactly the valedictorian of his flight school class) say he would have been lucky to even find the Pentagon, much less perform such a loop-de-loop and hit the outer wall dead on (Maybe one of those aces who say it wasn’t such a difficult feat would be willing to prove it by duplicating the flight path—sans final impact***).“What could have performed the stunt is a computer. Remote control of airplanes has been around as far back as 1962 when the Joint Chiefs of Staff proposed blowing up a civilian airliner in midair so it could be blamed on the Castro regime.”Ken adds:“In his book, The Big Bamboozle (p. 30), (suicided ex-CIA drug pilot Philip Marshall) proposes an airfield in Pinal, Arizona known to have ‘Intelligence Community’ connections as the likely spot where the hijackers learned to fly Boeings, noting that it had functioning 757s and 767s on hand in the summer of 2001. Sounds like a good place to start as to where remote control functionality could have been installed on the four hijacked planes, if only we could provoke someone in authority to look into it.” (Ex-NSA whistleblower and journalist Wayne Madsen has speculated that Marshall was killed for writing a book, suppressed by those who killed him, pointing to “the boneyard” in Arizona as the final resting place of at least two of the airliners used on 9/11 and retired from service years later.)During the interview Ken breaks some interesting news about the two 9/11 American Airlines planes. He writes:“Of 284 American Airlines (AA) planes flown on September 11th, all had flown the previous day, except for two planes. The identifier, called the “N-number” (e.g., “N5BPA1”), of all the AA planes which flew on September 11th ended in a “1”, except for two planes. The exceptions in both cases were the two AA planes hijacked, whose N-numbers end in “A” (“N334AA”, “N644AA”) According to flight data maintained by the Department of Transportation (DOT), September 11, 2001 was the first time one of the “hijacked” planes (N334AA) was used for a scheduled flight since December 2000. There’s no record in the DOT data for the other plane (N644AA), suggesting that plane was never flown commercially. Could it have been the plane used in the development and testing of remote-control functionality? Was this functionality then installed in the other plane while it was sitting in a hangar for nine months? It is certainly possible that I am misreading the data, but until that is demonstrated, I’m going to consider this suspicious circumstance a smoking gun as to the possibility the kamikaze pilots on 9/11 were not humans but machines. “UPDATE: In an earlier version of this post, I claimed I had determined that all four of the planes “hijacked” on 9/11 had not flown in the nine months prior to Sept. 11th. I have since learned of an anomaly in the BTS data which forces me to withdraw that claim for the two United Airlines planes (but not the American planes). I based that claim on a search of the flight records for the United planes by their N-numbers (“N612UA”, “N591UA”), but from January 2001 thru February 2002 the N-numbers of United planes in the database end, for some reason, in “ä1” (e.g., “N612ä1”) instead of “UA”. I have been unable to confirm whether N612UA and N612ä1 are the same plane or not. I have queried the BTS about this and am awaiting their explanation for the anomaly.Where the data came from and how to use it:The data comes from DOT’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ “Airline On-Time Performance Data” (I found no flight data for the AA-77 plane, which causes me to conclude it never went into commercial use). Former NASA scientist Dwain Deets discusses Scientists for 9/11 Truth‘s research on how airplanes were and were not used in the 9/11 false flag operation. Deets says that the Flight Data Recorder record of the eastbound leg of Flight 77’s journey that apparently ended with an extremely high-speed ground-level crash into the Pentagon deserves scrutiny: “From a technical perspective, it was among the most interesting flights ever.” Deets says that a recent analysis of the FDR data, soon to be released as a 15-minute-video, has “opened an entirely new realm.” Bottom line: It looks increasingly unlikely that any human pilot—much less the alleged hijackers, led by “pilot” Hani Hanjour (who was so incompetent he wasn’t allowed to solo in a Cessna training aircraft)—could have flown the plane, using the aircraft’s normal equipment, to produce the flight that was recorded by the FDR.Dwain Deets, a physicist and engineer, as well as the former Director of NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center’s Aerospace Project, is also, the recipient of the NASA Exceptional Service Award and the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award in the Senior Executive Service (1988).After the show, Dwain sent this correction:“I misspoke at one point. Is it OK to celebrate the Taliban’s victory? It is if you live in Moscow!Israel Shamir just published the delightfully politically-incorrect article "The Sheer Joy of Afghanistan." He begins: “My congratulations, friends and readers! The Taliban’s victory is our victory, yours and mine. We, non-Muslim and non-Pashtun folk, in the US and Europe, may rejoice, for in Afghanistan, virile (not ‘toxic’) masculinity defeated gender-diversity, believers defeated those weak of faith, the morals of our fathers overcome the morals of our sons.”He adds: “These armed peasants reminded us that we still can change the world. It is not necessary to submit. All the rules of the game could be re-written; the whole game could be dumped.”Shamir is happy to see the Taliban banning lending at interest (usury, banned by Muslims as riba), cracking down on the drug trade, and re-establishing family values, Afghanistan style—hopefully without some of the excesses of the 1990s. He adds that Biden’s decision to withdraw rather than succumb to the pressure of military leaders and opinion-makers has raised his opinion of the otherwise unremarkable US president. Philip Kraske's grippingly readable new novella A Legacy of Chains fleshes out an interesting and not-entirely-implausible scenario: A few surviving American POWs left behind in Vietnam, now senior citizens, manage to escape...but find an American government and media determined to suppress their story, and the "Enormous Crime" it reveals.Something not unlike the events in the story actually happened when Robert Garwood, one of the more than 600 US prisoners of war held hostage by the Vietnamese after the cessation of hostilities, managed to escape in 1979 to tell the tale...only to be betrayed by his own government and slandered by the media.Would the US government really condemn 600 American prisoners of war to forced labor and slow death in captivity just to avoid paying a couple of billion dollars ransom to Hanoi? The clear and unambiguous answer is, "yes, it did." And the US media and political class, including treasonous fake war hero scumbag John McCain, engineered and maintained an absurdly flimsy yet somehow durable cover-up. Bard College history professor Sean McMeekin discusses his new book Stalin’s War: A New History of World War II.McMeekin’s engrossing narrative presents an implicit and sometimes explicit argument that the war’s primary instigator and villain was Stalin, not Hitler. For while the Fuhrer may have been an aggressor, dictator, human rights abuser, and general villain, it was the Vozhd not the Fuhrer who desired, orchestrated, and won the war, commanded its biggest armies in the most theaters across most of the Eurasian landmass, and emerged with the lion’s share of the war booty. Stalin got and won his war, in McMeekin’s interpretation, thanks to Hitler’s swallowing the bait of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact—and thanks to the fecklessness of Churchill and especially Roosevelt, who grossly undermined their respective national interests by kowtowing to Stalin and showering him with the material support he used to win his war of conquest. Indeed, McMeekin’s material suggests that the Suvorov thesis, according to which Hitler’s Operation Barbarossa saved Europe from Soviet conquest, is largely correct. The Cold War, in this reading, was really just the long drawn-out ending of World War II, as the Soviet Union’s opponents recognized and fixed FDR-Churchill’s mistake. In this larger sense, World War 2 (Stalin’s war) did not end until the collapse of Communism in 1989.So why do the standard histories offer such a Hitler-centric view of the war? Does Hitler-centrism stem from Eurocentrism, according to which the Western fringes of Eurasia are the main focus of attention? Did Communist propaganda play a role? Or did Hitler’s crimes against Jews alienate a powerful interest group that responded by selling us the notion of Hitler the iconic cartoon villain and central figure of the war? However the public myth of World War II was created, Sean McMeekin has effectively debunked it and pointed the way to a more comprehensive and accurate understanding. This is a public episode. As the New York Daily News reports: "Top officials of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum want to cut 18 scenes they call 'defamatory' from an upcoming documentary about the museum’s inner workings — and the documentary’s makers vow not to cave in to their demands."The Outsider, unlike the 9/11 Museum, does not leave the 9/11 truth movement on the proverbial cutting room floor. But more important than the smattering of explicit scenes featuring 9/11 truth protestors is the film's overarching thesis: The 9/11 Museum failed in its original mission, as understood by Michael Shulin, to promote an open conversation about 9/11 stressing "question marks rather than periods." The main villain seems to be 9/11 Museum Director Alice Greenwald, former director of the Holocaust Museum, who apparently insisted on making the 9/11 Museum into a "shrine of the monstrous lie." Philip Kennicot of the Washington Post describes the Museum as “obsessive about repeatedly putting visitors through the trauma of 9/11...it is articulating a new kind of religion, an American religion based on a sense of grievance and loss, a nation that would be reborn as a more militaristic, aggressive superpower.”The story behind the film may be of interest to 9/11 researchers. Rosenbaum and Yoder amassed the world's biggest collection of non-network-TV videos taken on 9/11 and donated them to the incipient 9/11 Museum through then-Creative Director Michael Shulin. (Shulin, for his part, had collected the world's biggest set of 9/11 photographs for his storefront exhibit, which led to his being offered the Creative Director position.)Rosenbaum, Yoder, and Shulin donated their 9/11 videos and photos to the Museum on the understanding that they would be part of an open-to-the-public research library. It didn't quite turn out that way:Steven Rosenbaum: "If you go down to the museum and say, 'I'm a researcher and I'd like to come in and use this material, they will send you a contract. And that contract you will have to sign. And in that contract, it will say that anything you create has to be reviewed by them and can be modified by them and can't be released to the public unless they approve it."Kevin Barrett: "It sounds like what the CIA does with agents who want to write books."Steven Rosenbaum: "Here's what's puzzling about it. There is no example of any other museum in the United States that we've been able to find that controls legitimate, bona fide access to their archives in that way. And that includes, by the way, the Holocaust Museum. And we checked on this. And the Holocaust Museum said to us quite clearly, 'if you arrive and say we're making a book about the Holocaust and I don't believe it happened, I'm a denier, and I want to access your materials to prove my point,' they will let you in. They won't ask to review what you write. They won't try and edit it. And that's kind of at the basis what museum making is supposed to be about: investigating archives. Binoy Kampmark recently published a good article on Daniel Hale, the drone whistleblower recently sentenced to 45 months in prison. Hale’s alleged crime “was to reveal classified documents revealing the distinct viciousness, and essential senselessness, of the US military’s drone program. His motivation: ‘to dispel the lie that drone warfare keeps us safe, that our lives are worth more than theirs.'”Dr. Kampmark followed the Hale article with one on “Afghanistan, Failure and Second Thoughts.” His pessimistic prognosis:“The emptying of the barracks does not put an end to the prying and meddling from non-Afghan personnel. The country will still host a myriad of special forces and intelligence officials. Excuses for maintaining some militarised footprint will be traditional: the threat posed by terrorism; the thriving opium trade. The contractor business will also boom.
