Anti-aging scientist Josh Mitteldorf returns to Truth Jihad Radio to offer “Proof We Are Not Living in a Simulation (see Nick Bostrum’s famous essay) and discuss the amazing fact that “The Universe Seems Fine-Tuned for Life.” If we answer those cosmic questions quickly we’ll move on to questions about quantum physics and mind-brain relationships.Josh Mitteldorf writes:I The Universe seems fine-tuned for lifeThe fundamental equations of physics have constants in them that physicists take as a given. They just happen to be what they are. For example in E=mc2, the E is any measured quantity of energy and m is any measured quantity of mass, but the c is the velocity of light, and this is one of those arbitrary constants. The strength of the gravitational force is another example, along with the strength of the electric force that holds electrons in atoms, and the strong force which binds neutrons and protons together in the nucleus. All of these are arbitrary constants. There is no theory to tell us what they ought to be.About 50 years ago, physicists started asking “what kind of universe would this be if these constants were different”. They discovered a startling fact. Our universe would be VERY different if any of these “arbitrary” constants were changed just a little bit. In every case, the universe would be much less interesting, and life would probably be impossible.For example, if the balance between the strong force and the electric force were tipped more toward the electric force, then there would be no chemical elements except hydrogen. Nuclei would not be able to hold together, because the electric repulsion between the protons would make them fly apart. If it were tipped more toward the strong force, then neutrons and protons would clump together indefinitely, until all atoms merged into a giant neutron star. Chemistry is the basis of life. It’s the difference between gold and granite, between air and ice cream. No chemistry means a dull world indeed.Another example, the gravitational force is just right for stars and galaxies. If it were just a little weaker, the clouds of gas that came out of the big bang would never condense to make galaxies and stars. The world would remain forever a diffuse gas. If the gravitational force were a little stronger, stars would burn much hotter, and they would burn themselves out in thousands of years instead of billions of years. Probably life could not evolve in those circumstances.One more example: Electrons are much lighter than protons, about 1800 times smaller in mass. If electrons were a little lighter, they would be traveling too close to the speed of light for atoms as we know them to exist. If they were heavier, then …Before 1970, scientists regarded life as an opportunistic phenomenon that could probably arise in some form with any set of arbitrary constants that Nature chose to throw out. But after these articles in the 1970s, physicists had to face the fact that the very possibility of life depended on a lot of conditions that they (physicists) had regarded as arbitrary. The “standard” interpretation among physicists is that there are many, many universes, but only a tiny fraction of them have life. Of course, we live in one of those improbable universes because we are here to ask the question. The religious interpretation is that God created a universe hospitable to life. A scientific/spiritual interpretation is that consciousness is “the ground of being”, closely related to fundamental physics, and that consciousness fashioned the universe and living creatures as a home for itself.II What is the relationship between mind and brain?In the 1990s, a philosopher named David Chalmers hammered away at challenging philosophers to address this question. He called it the “hard problem”. The world of subjective experience and awareness that each of us knows so well has no obvious relationship to matter or physics. How did the two come to be connected?Chalmers himself narrows the question to “how does the brain generate consciousness?” assuming that consciousness is generated by the brain. But 125 years ago, William James offered a cogent argument that we only know that awareness is associated with brain activity, and not that it is caused by brain activity. He offered reasons to think that consciousness has an independent existence, apart from physics. The brain, then, is a transducer that takes sense signals from the world and connects them to the realm of consciousness, while taking willful intention from the realm of consciousness and connecting it to nerves and muscles. James was offering a lecture on “human immortality.” If the brain produces consciousness, then we can’t expect that there is any consciousness that survives death, when the brain no longer functions. But if the brain merely connects consciousness to the physical world, then it is plausible that our individual consciousness might survive after our bodies are dead.Note: A lot of activities an

I'm Kevin Barrett talking with the folks who have the most to say from way outside the box of mainstream idiocy. And today I've got two of my heroes I've been following for quite some time, Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Jessica Rose. I finally got them on the show. They're both people with a very strong medical credentials who've questioned the COVID party line and gotten some pushback for their pains. Dr. Peter McCullough is a cardiologist with a strong public health background, a master's in public health from the University of Michigan. Jessica is a Canadian researcher who's got a bachelor's in applied math, a master's in immunology, a PhD in computational biology, and on and on and on, even more than that. But we'll just get going here. So, hey, welcome. Peter and Jessica. How are you?Jessica Rose: Great. Good, thanks.Kevin Barrett: Well, it's an honor to have you. We'll start with Peter, because although both guests are having some Internet issues. Peter's are worse. So, Peter, we're going to start here first. Maybe you could quickly introduce yourself and let us know how you ended up being somebody who's being both cheered and smeared for saying sensible things about COVID and the experimental injections.Peter McCullough: I'm a practicing internist and cardiologist in Dallas, Texas. Academic practice. I spend about half my time seeing patients like yesterday and half my time in academic mode. As an author and former editor and contributor, I'm a frequent news commentator now. Never thought I would be in the limelight, but I was very much prepared for it in terms of my training and background in analyzing data, both as a clinical trialist and an epidemiologist. I have been cheered, there's no doubt about it. I've testified in the US Senate and been well received across multiple news platforms. I've only been jeered, I think—in fact, I know—by people with no credentials and no credibility. And I think that jeers are about 1% and I think the cheers are 99%. But if you can find somebody who's credible, who's ever said a discrediting statement, I'd be happy to see it.Kevin Barrett: Well, here's here's a kind of humorous discrediting statement. According to Wikipedia, you're spreading misinformation about COVID because you are not sure that people under 30 should be getting the experimental injections. Now, I don't quite understand that.Peter McCullough: But let me just say, Wikipedia has contributors who are anonymous. The most frequent contributor to my Wikipedia page is not me. I should actually be writing my own Wikipedia page. In fact, Wikipedia has locked me out. It's someone in Illinois named the Altman, so it's an anonymous, uncredentialed person who's putting incorrect information on my Wikipedia page. So Wikipedia, in my view, since it's not a biographical or autobiographical page that's credentialed or allows the individual to actually put correct information, Wikipedia should be removed from the Internet and clearly not viewed by anybody who's interested in the truth.Kevin Barrett: I agree completely. I had a five year battle with Wikipedia myself and it was maddening. They had libelous information up for five years that couldn't be taken down, sourced to an anonymous obscure blog lying about me. So yeah, it's completely insane. And the idea that questioning whether people under 30 should be getting these COVID injections (is bad) is also completely insane, isn't it? Where do they come up with it?Peter McCullough: You know, I'm a doctor, so I decide not Wikipedia. I decide. I have the medical authority to decide and help patients judge the risks and the benefits. The risks of the vaccines in people under 30 far outweigh any benefits that could be had, even from the very beginning against the wildtype strain which the vaccines were designed to block. Now, with the Omicron strain across the age spectrum, the risks which are still there outweigh any theoretical benefits. And again, I'm the doctor. I have the authority to decide and make that judgment, not anonymous Wikipedia people.Kevin Barrett: Well, I'm not a doctor, but that's sure how it looks to me too. I just can't imagine why anybody would be telling young people to (get vaccinated) even back in the bad old days of Delta. Even then, the numbers didn't make any sense to me either. So, Peter, where did this COVID thing come from? It looks like a bioweapon, and there are various theories about that. To my mind, even just the presumption that that's a possibility means we need to shut down biological weapons research. Maybe you

Larry Johnson of The Son of the New American Revolution blog is a well-informed and eloquent critic of the official US government and media line on Ukraine. In this interview, Larry Johnson casts severe doubts on much of what we’re hearing from the media, including the claims that “Ukraine is winning”:“What you would expect to see if the Ukrainians functioned as an effective army: number one, in the east, they would have broken out. They would have actually launched a counterattack against the Russians and pushed the Russians back to the border. That hasn't happened. In fact, the reports show steady progress by these Russian backed forces in Donetsk and Luhansk in pushing back the Ukrainian military. “Number two, the Russians have basically they have sealed, completely shut down, the southern coast of Ukraine and their access to the Black Sea. Again, if the Ukraine had a viable, capable army that could fight against that, they would be launching counterattacks to push the Russians out and to open those ports. They haven't done that. What we're seeing is that this group of neo-Nazis that are in the steel plant area of Mariupol are slowly being encircled and killed. So again, if Ukraine had a functioning army, you'd expect to see artillery strikes coming in to try to push back the Russians. We're not seeing that. You'd expect to see air strikes, some sort of air operation, whether with fixed wing or rotary wing. We're not seeing that. Cruise missiles. We're not seeing that. So do they not have it or are they just incapable of using it in an effective manner? And I think it's the latter. Because it's irrational for them not to use it if it's still viable. I do know that their ability to conduct air to air intercept with fixed wing combat aircraft was curtailed the first 24 hours of the war on February 24th because the ground radars were blown up and those ground radars were what the pilots needed in order to vector themselves in on a target.” Below is a full transcript of our April 11 interview. -KBLarry Johnson interviewed by Kevin BarrettKevin Barrett: Welcome to Truth Jihad Radio. Kevin Barrett here, looking for the ugly truth hidden underneath the festering piles of lies. And the lies just keep on festering, getting worse all the time, from 9/11 and the 9/11 wars to COVID to the current Ukraine situation. It's gotten to the point that the mainstream media is almost a parody of itself, infinitely worse than it was back during the Cold War days that I grew up in. I don't know what to compare it to. So now I have to bring on independent experts who actually know what they're talking about to dissect the situation and tell us what's really going on. And one of those is today's guest, Larry Johnson. Larry has a background in military special ops and strategic analysis and stuff like that. He's got the Son of the New American Revolution blog or sonar21.com. It's one of the best go-to sources for off-script reporting on the Ukraine situation. So, hey, welcome, Larry. It's good to have you.Larry Johnson: Hey, thank you. Good to be with you.Kevin Barrett: Okay. So let's start just quickly get your background. You obviously seem to know what you're talking about and have a certain amount of military and strategic analysis background. So where did you get that? And then how did you come around to these off-propaganda-script views?Larry Johnson: I started working with the Central Intelligence Agency in 1985. I was there until 1989, moved from there to the US Department of State's Office of Counterterrorism. I was there for four years and then moved off and began again doing consulting in 1993-94. And I worked for 24 years with the U.S. military special operations forces. So one of the unique insights I've had is being able to integrate CIA, State Department, FBI and the rest of the intelligence community with military operations and capabilities.Kevin Barrett: A very interesting background. That's actually kind of similar to the background of my friend, Veterans Today Editor Gordon Duff, who's certainly an interesting character, and who's been on the show quite a few times. Gordon saw that there were some problems with the official story of everything in the mainstream from the moment he went to Vietnam as a marine and saw what was happening in Vietnam. It didn't match the patriotic story. And it just kind of got worse from there, apparently, culminating after 9/11 with that obvious big lie and the controlled demolition of the Trade Center pissing him off enough that he would eventually start Veterans Today. What was your trajectory that led you to your current views?Larry Johnson: Well, I just I just try to assess information. I mean, it's got to add up. And we've seen enough lies over the years from the government that I realize you can never take them at face value. Guy Mettan’s Creating Russophobia offers a detailed and convincing answer. Mettan begins by listing the many incidents and issues that have been wildly misreported (with massive anti-Russia spin at best, outright lies at worst) in the West. Having established the existence of such strong prejudice against Russia, he argues that the roots of this unfortunate attitude go back roughly 1,000 years. What got you started on this?Guy Mettan: I have followed Russian affairs and the gap between Eastern Europe, Russia and the European Union for a long time, about 20 years, as a journalist. And for 25 years I have had special ties with Russia because I received the Russian nationality from President Yeltsin. My wife and I adopted a young girl, our daughter Oksana. Since she became our daughter we could get the Russian passport. And since then I have had a special focus on Russia. I visit the country, I have many friends, and so on. Are they going to ban us from eating? Things are really getting strange in America today. Let's try and make some sense of it. Hey, welcome Michelle Malkin, how are you?Michelle Malkin: Good. Thanks for having me.Kevin Barrett: So what's with Airbnb? I can't believe it. Since when did people start getting banned from accessing these kinds of basic services in America due to their political stances?Michelle Malkin: Well, it's been happening for a while, but with particular regard to the dissident right. A lot of young activists and journalists and independent citizens, researchers that identify themselves as truly America First, as opposed to the appropriated generic brand that we're now seeing from the Republican Party. It's been happening for quite a while, and I'm certainly not the first canary in the cancel culture coal mine on this. In fact, in 2019, when I came out with my latest book called Open Borders Inc., I dedicated it to many of the patriots who have already been suffering de-housing, de-platforming, de-banking and now, most recently, a twist of de-planing. There are a number of individuals, and I'm trying to get a complete list of them through a Freedom of Information Act request, who've been either put on the no fly list or designated by the TSA as heightened security risks, and either stopped and swabbed for bomb-making materials, prevented from booking tickets online, this type of thing. The designation is SSSS. And I identified at least two individuals who had been classified as such. So the idea that I could be retaliated against by a service provider of public accommodations like Airbnb is certainly in keeping with that trend. The new twist or new wrinkle, at least to my mind, is the fact that not only was I punished specifically for speaking at the annual American Renaissance conference last November, but my husband's account was also deleted. And he is not a public figure. He's not a journalist. He wasn't at the conference. But it doesn't matter. And the idea that it was my speech was also pretextual, because Airbnb didn't bother to obtain a transcript or a video of the speech before they made this decision.Kevin Barrett: So this wasn't really about anything you said. It was about associating with the wrong people. It's guilt by association. And I guess they're saying that American Renaissance is, quote unquote, a hate group. So whatever you say at their convention, it's equally bad. Which strikes me as very strange. If I were invited by any group to talk to their convention, I'd probably go. And if I disagreed with them, I would explain why. And then I guess I would get banned by Airbnb just for having been to their convention if it's a convention that Airbnb doesn't like. Washington, DC-based gadfly and retired TV talk show host Ken Meyercord reports: “Today’s Washington Post is full of reports on the possibility of the Russians executing a false flag operation to justify their invasion of eastern Ukraine; namely, staging an attack purportedly by Ukrainian forces on the Russian-speaking population of the secessionists provinces of the Donbass. However, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), an organization comprising 57 States encompassing three continents – North America, Europe and Asia, reports a buildup of 150,000 Ukrainian troops on the border with the break-away Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics., so an attack on these republics may not be a false flag at all but the commencement of a Ukrainian attempt to regain these territories (the border area is a much more active warzone already than I had realized). As to the legitimacy of these areas seceding, let’s remember that the people running the Ukrainian government today did not exactly come to power through constitutional means (If those rioters who broke into the Capitol on Jan. 6th had truly been insurrectionists and had succeeded in overthrowing the government, might not some of these united states have broken away and declared their independence?). Whether the Ukrainian troop deployment is a tit for a similar Russian tat, I cannot say, but I would guess the reverse. Eschatologists from many religious traditions agree that we are approaching the End Times—what Muslims call Akhir-uz-zaman. Ron Unz responded to the AP’s 4,000-word hit piece against RFK Jr. just hours after its publication. He noticed a very strange omission: “Almost half of the entire book under attack—around 200 pages—is devoted to the presenting and promoting the astonishing claim that everything we have been told about HIV/AIDS for more than 35 years probably amounts to a hoax…Yet not a single word of this astonishing situation appears in the long AP article, that attacks Kennedy on almost all other possible grounds, fair or unfair. Did all six of the AP writers and researchers somehow skip over those 200 pages in Kennedy’s bestseller?”Probably not. More likely, they were told “don’t go there.”But why not? After all, if RFK Jr. is an “AIDS denier,” the people tasked with destroying his reputation would surely say so….and then call him a homophobe, and probably a racist to boot. So I noticed that in a way this is sort of like an update of the kind of information that David Ray Griffin has been working on for so many years. But instead of 14 volumes or whatever he's published, you've packed it all into one volume.Jamie MacPhail: Yeah. David Ray Griffin has been a great source of information on 911, along with a few others, such as David Chandler, of course, Kevin Ryan, Kevin Fenton, of course, writing on the issues around the intelligence agencies. There are so many people. Graham McQueen, of course,has been a great contributor to the to the cause well. And Mark Gaffney, just to name a few.I've kind of read all their stuff and sought to put it all together into one coherent narrative, but trying desperately to avoid getting caught up in rabbit holes, which 9/11 is absolutely replete with. You know, there's so many areas of 9/11 that if you're not really careful, you can just get caught into a particular perspective that can be then knocked down and destroyed as an argument. So I've tried to keep clear of the pitfalls. For example, the Pentagon is a classic one where most people who have written about 9/11 have always followed the line that it's a cruise missile and there's no evidence of the 757. And I had that view myself as well, actually for many years, until I came across the research of David Chandler, Wayne Coste and their colleagues on the on the website 911SpeakOut.org, which is very, very good and very useful to to investigate for those who are interested in the Pentagon. So that's one of the rabbit holes of 9/11n. We can very easily get caught up in the idea that there was no plane that went into the Pentagon.Kevin Barrett: And the rabbit hole is a good metaphor for that. Since there are those two holes: There's the the hole on the outside, and then there's the interior hole in the E ring, the central one of the five rings in the Pentagon. And just a cursory examination, especially of the exterior hole, without knowing the larger context, can easily make it seem very obvious that there was no big plane. Jamie MacPhail: Yeah, absolutely. And (Gen. Albert) Stubblebine was a great advocate of that. And he, of course, was a major figure within the American Army, and he came out and said, in about 2005, that the plane does not fit the hole. I don't know if you remember that one.Kevin Barrett: Yeah, it was like if the plane does not fit, you must acquit.Jamie MacPhail: "So there's no there's no plane, it must have been a cruise missile." But there is very clear evidence (of a big plane impact). I've borrowed some pictures from 911SpeakOut.org to put in the book. It's very clear that there was structural damage along about a 90 foot area of the front of the Pentagon there, indicating that yes, actually it wasn't a cruise missile, it was something much larger that caused that amount of damage. I know this is a contentious view. There are many people in the 9/11 truth movement who still maintain that it was a missile or bombs and had nothing to do with the 757. But I would challenge that view myself. And the evidence relating to the shenanigans of Dick Cheney in the Presidential Emergency Operations

Philosophy and humanities teacher Thaddeus Kozinski, author of Modernity as Apocalypse: Sacred Nihilism and the Counterfeits of Logos, discusses his new essays “What Plato can Teach us about Covid 19” and “Covid 19: The Warning.”Kozinski writes: “The last eighteen months is perhaps the demonstrative proof that Plato was right…” How so? We've put out a book in response to Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verses. It’s called Satanic Voices, Ancient and Modern. And in it I came across some very interesting material, particularly on the issue of the British Embassy in Constantinople (and a hadith about the end times). Now this is very interesting for our times from the beginning of the 20th century till today.Now, the British Embassy had written a letter basically notifying the British government of what had just happened on July the 8th 1908 in Constantinople.
