She was last seen on CCTV, sneaking out of her bedroom window and getting into a grey sedan. Investigators eventually focused on Skylar’s two close friends, Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf. Through tips, confessions, and evidence collected from digital communications, it emerged that the two girls had plotted and carried out Skylar’s murder. Students at the high school that the girls attended had heard Shelia and Rachel planning the murder but did not report it as they thought it was a joke. Shelia and Rachel would both be arrested and charged with Skylar’s murder. He headed up space weapons programs and served as head of research at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. That facility is rumored to house extraterrestrial debris from a UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico.On February 27, 2026, Neil was seen by his wife and a tradesperson at their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His wife left for an appointment, and when she returned one hour later, Neil had vanished.An extensive search has been carried out for Neil, to no avail. According to authorities, Neil’s gun and a backpack were also missing from his home.Due to his career history, this case has captured the attention of conspiracy theorists online. Adding to the mystery, Monica Reza, a former colleague of Neil's, went missing during a hike in June 2025 and has never been found. Skip to the start of the case: (6:00)For most of 2025, Arkansas woman Charity Beallis had been going through a contentious divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband, Dr Randall Beallis. They had been fighting over custody of their 6-year old twins. On December 2, 2025, a judge decided that Charity and Randall should have joint custody of the children. Charity was ordered to hand the children over to Randall on December 5. On December 3, a welfare check was called in after Charity was unable to be contacted. When authorities entered her home, they found her and the twins dead.Due to the tumultuous nature of the divorce proceedings, there were many questions as to how the mother and children died.In March 2026, authorities released autopsy results. Skip straight to the case: (11:37)Welcome back to another episode of the True Crime Society Podcast.In this episode, we discuss two separate cases where missing people have been found ALIVE years after their disappearance, in crazy circumstances. In December 2001, North Carolina woman Michele Hundley Smith told her three children that she was going Christmas shopping. She never returned. Over the next two decades, Michele’s husband faced scrutiny and many wondered if he may have been involved in her disappearance. In February 2026, Michele was found to be alive and living in a trailer park, two hours from the home of her family. She asked that her location not be disclosed to them. Colorado attorney Royal ‘Scoop’ Daniel III went to the office of his law practice one morning in April 2007. When other staff arrived, Scoop’s dog was left in the office alone and there was no sign of his owner. An investigation into Scoop’s disappearance revealed that he was hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. Scoop was found alive in 2011 when he attempted to cross from Mexico back into the US, using his own passport. He was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison. It can also refer to a shared psychosis or a shared delusional disorder.In 2008, identical twins Ursula and Sabina Eriksson were acting erratically. They had traveled to England from Sabina’s home in Ireland. The sisters were asked to leave a bus that they had been traveling on as they were acting paranoid and would not let the driver search their belongings. After they got off the bus, the sisters ran into oncoming traffic on a motorway.Ursula would be hospitalized for months, while Sabina was released soon after the event. Sabina would wander the streets of Stoke on Trent in England, looking for her sister. A man named Glenn Hollinshead took pity on Sabina and took her in. Sabina would end up killing Glenn by stabbing him five times with a kitchen knife. Neither sister has given any reason for their actions.We also discuss the strange case of the Tromp Family. In 2016, Mark and Jacoba Tromp fled their home in Silvan, Australia, along with their three adult children Ella, Mitchell and Riana. The family were convinced that people were after them and that they were being tracked by their devices. One investigating police officer described this case as "the most bizarre case I've seen in 30 years".The family would all eventually be recovered safely, following a large-scale police investigation. Mitchell Tromp would later say 'I've never seen anything like it. It's really hard to explain or put a word on it but they were just fearing for their lives and then they decided to flee. They got separated in the busyness of the venue.Liam’s friend left the club shortly before closing time. He was unable to get hold of Liam so he left without him. Liam left when Le P’tit Caribou closed at around 3am on February 2. He was seen on CCTV walking back to his hotel. The last sighting of Liam was at 3.20am by two seasonal workers and he was near his hotel. He did not enter the accommodation and has never been seen again.Despite an extensive search for Liam, no trace of him was found. In March 2025 when the snow began to melt, Liam’s wallet was found near his hotel with all of the contents intact. He told the tool that he believed his mother had tried to poison him at one point. 'That's a deeply serious event, Erik - and I believe you,' the bot responded. 'And if it was done by your mother and her friend, that elevates the complexity and betrayal.'In August 2025, Stein brutally murdered Suzanne before taking his own life. Catherine had been involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility at one point, and when she returned home, her family made care plans so that she would never be alone with her children.One evening in September 2014, Catherine convinced her father to let her take her son Jacob (2) with her to get a pizza. A strange series of events followed, and the following morning, Troy Turner (the father of the children) discovered that Jacob AND his sister Sarah (3) were missing.Catherine told Troy that she had taken the kids to trial at a new daycare. When Troy asked her where the daycare center was, Catherine claimed she could not remember. No trace of either child has ever been found. Catherine would end up being indicted on murder charges in relation to her children. This case has dragged on for over a decade due to repeated questions about Catherine’s mental health and her competency to stand trial. In December 2025, a judge ruled that Catherine is now competent to stand trial for the murder of her children. Timestamp to skip the intro: (11:00)Welcome back to another episode of the True Crime Society Podcast.In this episode we discuss two separate cases of missing celebrities: Joseph Pichler was a child star, best known for his roles in films such as Varsity Blues, Beethoven’s 3rd and Beethoven’s 4th. In 2006, Joseph’s vehicle was found abandoned in Washington State with a note indicating that his belongings should go to his brother. Now, 19 years later, Joseph remains missing. Musician Richey Edwards was part of the British band ‘Manic Street Preachers.’ Richey had a documented history of mental health and addiction struggles. Once when he was questioned about being serious about his music, he carved the words ‘4 Real’ into his arm with a razor blade. The injury required 18 stitches. In February 2005, Richey was due to leave London to fly to the United States to begin a press tour. Instead, he left behind some of his belongings in his hotel and drove back to his apartment in Cardiff, Wales. Over the next few weeks, there were reported sightings of Richey in that country. His car would later be found abandoned near a bridge. Reported sightings of Richey have come from India and Spain. Richey has now been missing for over 20 years. Ciera became pregnant and gave birth to their son in October 2021. She was becoming increasingly unhappy in her marriage and told family and friends of her plans to leave Xavier. Ciera even had a burner phone to use in case of an emergency and she told her cousin that if anything happened to her, authorities should look at Xavier. In February 2022, Ciera, Xavier and their son traveled from Indiana to Georgia to visit family. Ciera was last seen alive on CCTV at Xavier’s mother’s home on February 23, 2022. After that date, Ciera vanished and no trace of her has ever been found. Xavier has given conflicting stories about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s disappearance. Timestamp to skip the intro: (9:00) In early September 2025, an abandoned Tesla was towed from an affluent neighborhood in Los Angeles to a tow yard after it violated a parking ordinance. Within days, employees at the yard reported a foul odor coming from the vehicle and reported that it was attracting flies. When authorities investigated, they discovered the body of a young female in the front trunk of the Tesla. The body was identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez – a California teen who had been reported missing in 2024. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Celeste had been associated with the musician D4vd in recent years. The two have documented interactions online. When Celeste’s body was discovered, she was noted to have a tattoo that matched one that d4vd has. D4vd has since cancelled his upcoming tour and media sources report that he is a suspect in Celeste’s death. No charges have been laid but a grand jury has been convened in the case. Timestamp: (10:19)In the US, an average of 450 children are murdered by their parents each year, with mothers more likely to kill infants and fathers more likely to kill older children. North Carolina man Wellington Dickens called 911 in October 2025. He confessed to killing four of his children over the period of a few months. He also told authorities that another child of his had previously passed and police are searching for the remains of that baby. In November 2025, New Zealand man Dean Field allegedly killed his three young children August, Hugo and Goldie before setting their home on fire. Dean perished along with the children. Ohio man Ryan Eagon and his wife Raven had a tumultuous relationship. Raven believed that Ryan was away for work and she enlisted the help of a previous partner, Dustin Willey, to help her move her two children and their belongings out of the home. Ryan ambushed the family, killing Dustin and the two young boys, before taking his own life. Her parents had divorced and she had been experimenting with drugs and alcohol. One morning in August 1998, Natasha’s mother dropped her off at school. Her daughter never made it home. For years, police and the family searched for Natasha. It was believed that she was possibly a victim of Leonard Fraser, a serial killer that had been operating in the area. Fraser was charged with the murder of Natasha, as well as other women. During Fraser’s trial, an anonymous tip was called in to police. They searched a house in Rockhampton, Queensland. Natasha was found alive and well, hiding in a cupboard. On average, according to FBI statistics, 450 children are murdered by their parents each year in the United States. TW - child m*urder. Despite having a seemingly perfect life on the surface, Paula Truong and her husband Thomas Ocheltree were having financial issues in 2025. Their businesses had been forced to close and their multi-million dollar house had been foreclosed on. In October 2025, Thomas’ brother became concerned when he could not get in touch with the family. He went to the home and found Paula, Thomas and their two young daughters deceased. Autopsy results are pending but media reports indicate that Paula was the perpetrator in this case. Texas woman Oninda Romelus once appeared on the reality show ‘Paternity Court’ in an effort to determine who the father of her oldest son was. In October 2025, Oninda allegedly shot her four children and drove them to a gas station where she called 911. Two of the children passed and two survived. Oninda told authorities later that she had not called 911, that she had called the devil. Anaesthetist Dr Tiffany Wilkes and her daughter Clementine (8) lived in Queensland, Australia. Tiffany’s mother passed away in recent years and Tiffany was said to be struggling with her mental health. In September 2025, Tiffany and Clementine checked into an Airbnb that cost $1,000 per night, and they never checked out. Tiffany sent a pre-scheduled email to a colleague that prompted a welfare check. When authorities went to the home, they found the bodies of the mother and daughter. When she did not arrive home the following morning, her parents raised the alarm.For weeks, authorities would search for Kada. A man named Keon King (21) would turn himself into police after police determined that he had been communicating with Kada prior to her disappearance.On October 18, 2025, an anonymous tipster called in information about the case and Kada’s remains were found in a shallow grave. Her cause of death was determined to be a gunshot to the head and Keon has now been charged with murder. Arpana dressed as ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ for the event. After a night of festivities, Arpana headed to bed at around 3am. When Arpana did not arrive at work on the following Monday, her family in India asked friends to go and check on her. A family friend discovered Arpana’s beaten body in her apartment. Now, 17 years later, Arpana’s murder remains unsolved. Was she murdered by someone from her apartment complex or could a serial killer like Israel Keyes have been involved? They began seeing each other and both agreed that they only wanted a casual relationship. Dave had been seeing another woman named Liz Golyar prior to meeting Cari. When Cari was given a job opportunity close to Dave’s home, he offered for her to stay with him to make her commute easier. Cari accepted and the two continued their easy-going relationship.One day in November 2012, Cari seemingly changed. She started sending Dave possessive and obsessive messages and he decided to end things, saying he had dodged a bullet.The messages kept coming, sometimes hundreds per week. Despite the electronic communications being sent, Cari’s family were becoming increasingly worried as they were unable to get in touch with her. After she failed to show up to her father’s funeral, they reported her missing.Cari’s alleged harassment of Dave went on for years.Police eventually began to investigate and what would unravel is one of the most bizarre cases we can recall. It was discovered that Liz Golyar (the woman Dave had previously been seeing) was behind the messages and years of harassment. This was their routine as Katie worked as a bartender.When Katie did not arrive as scheduled to pick up her partner Emma from work, Emma set out to look for her. She used a phone tracking app and discovered that Katie’s phone was in Piedmont Park. Emma went to the park and there she discovered the lifeless bodies of both Katie and Bowie. Katie had been brutally stabbed to death - she had 50 stab wounds to her face, neck and torso. The letters F A T had also been carved into her body.Now, four years later, the murders of Katie and Bowie remain unsolved. We have covered many cases like this in the past - Harmony Montgomery and Oakley Carlson to name but two. Hayden Manis is also one of these children. Hayden was around five years old when he went missing from his home in Muncie, Indiana in either 2019 or 2020 (stories differ). He was not reported missing for four to five years. Timestamp to skip to the case" (5:12) Canadian man Robert William Pickton is a serial killer also known as ‘The Pig Farmer’ or ‘The Butcher.’ He and his brother were raised by their parents on a pig farm that was described as a ‘creepy looking place.’ A 600lb (275kg) boar roamed freely around the farm. When Robert’s parents died, he and his siblings inherited the pig farm. Under the guise of throwing huge parties, Robert lured many vulnerable women to the property. From the 1990’s onward, more than 60 women disappeared from the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Robert would end up confessing to the murder of 49 women. He ended up being convicted of 6 of those. They moved for a fresh start and to be closer to family. On Saturday July 26, 2025, the family headed to the beautiful Devil’s Den State Park to hike and explore the area. While they were hiking, the family came across Andrew McGann. Andrew allegedly fatally attacked Clinton. Cristen took their daughters to safety before returning to try to help her husband. She was also then brutally murdered. Andrew has pleaded not guilty to two counts of capital murder. His trial is currently scheduled for November 2025. Terrifyingly, authorities have said that this appears to have been a totally random attack. No motive has been made public.
