This week, as we observe the prophet Habakkuk's wrestling match with God, we'll learn just what to do when we experience a crisis of faith - when things are difficult and we want to quit. You'll be greatly encouraged when you join us this week at Troy United Methodist Church!

The Old Testament book of Habakkuk is easily missed. It’s only three chapters long! But the message of this tiny book is profound. Where is God in the midst of injustice? What do we do when things aren’t as we know they should be? How do we find faith in God despite our big questions that raise significant doubts? Habakkuk deals with each of these questions and more. 

In the Christian life, we are at war. Not against people, but against spiritual forces that are unseen. There is an enemy of your soul who wants nothing more than for you to remain in the prison of guilt, shame and fear. But in Christ, we are not only set free from these shackles, we are given the power of God to withstand the attack of our enemy. Join us at one of our four worship services this Sunday to learn how you can do battle in this realm so that you never have to go back to living in chains again.

When you become a follower of Jesus, you are adopted into a new family, the family of God. This family has its own values and ways of doing life, oftentimes vastly different from the values of your former way of life. Join us this Sunday as we continue to explore Paul's letter from prison to the Ephesians. You will find the power to break free from your past and step into the new life God created you for!
