Developing and living out strong convictions are exemplified for us by Daniel’s experience and decision making in Babylon. Here are three choices he made that we should make, too. 1. Pastor Ben tells the story about the anointing of a shepherd boy to be a king. It helps us to see the importance of obedience to God and how always has a plan. Man looks at the face, while God looks at the heart!

You can know that Jesus is Greater by understanding and believing these seven magnificent statements about Christ in Hebrews 1:2-3.Heir. “…whom he hath appointed heir of all things” Creator. “…by whom He also made the worlds” Radiance. “…who being the brightness of His glory” Image. “…and the express image of His person” Sustainer. “…and upholding all things by the word of His power.” Purifier. “…when He had by himself purged our sins” Seated. “…sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high”

Jesus is superior in every way. He is superior to the angels as seen in these four ways.He has a superior name. He is the Son. They are worshippers. (v.4-7)He has a superior position. He is King. They are servants. (v.8-9)He has a superior origin. He is Creator. They are created. (v.10-12)He has a superior role. He is Ruler. They are ministers. (v.13-14)

Jesus Christ is supreme in every way. Look at what He accomplished through salvation by seeing three stages of man’s relationship to God.1. Glory Removed. (v.5-8)2. Glory revealed. (v.9)3. Glory Restored. (v.10-13)

Why did Jesus become a man?1. Jesus became a man to release us. (v. 14-16)2. Jesus became a man to reconcile us. (v. 17)3. Jesus became a man to rescue us. (v. 18)

Jesus is greater at life transformation. We know this by seeing how He is shown as greater than Moses in Hebrews 3:1-6.He has a greater identity. (v. 1-2)He has a greater ministry. (v. 3-5)He has a greater house. (v. 3, 5-6)

Because Jesus is greater at transformation, we can partake in the transformed Christian life by faith when we observe and obey three sections of Hebrews 3:7-19.A familiar illustration. (v.7-11)A practical application. (v.12-14)An urgent summary. (v.7, 13, 15-19)

You can experience transformation through the rest that only God can give. Here are three keys to experiencing God’s rest. You need to know what God’s rest is. You need to know how to access God’s rest. You need to pursue God’s rest.

The Word of God is essential in bringing us into God’s rest and transforming us because it is the only resource that can accurately embody these three descriptions.The Word of God is transforming because it is alive. v. 9-12The Word of God is transforming because it is powerful. v. 12The Word of God is transforming because it is discerning. v. 12-13

You should use your access to God every day through Jesus Christ. You should do this because Jesus Christ gives us incredible access to God for three reasons.Keywords: ReasonsPoints:His position.His perfection.His provision.

Jesus Christ gives us incredible access to God because He has greater qualifications for the job than anyone that ever existed. Let’s examine the text and see the Earthly High Priest compared and contrasted to our heavenly High Priest, Jesus Christ.The Earthly High Priest (v.1-4)His Appointment. (verse 1 and verse 4)His Assignment. (verse 1-3)The Heavenly Hight Priest (v.5-10)His Selection. (v.6, 10)His Suffering. (v.7-9)

To pursue spiritual maturity passionately and effectively we must take these four steps.We must accept our unattained goal. (v.12, 14, 6:3)We must assess our current condition. (v.11-12)We must consume the necessary nutrition. (v.13-14)We must exercise the right discernment. (v.14)

We must respond to the call to spiritual maturity by understanding what this spiritual maturity looks like. Here are four truths about Spiritual Maturity that will help us to think rightly about the progress that God is calling us to.This progress is about leaving spiritual immaturity. (5:11-6:3)This progress does not affect salvation. (6:4-6)This progress results in fruitfulness. (6:7-10)This progress demands diligent effort.(6:11-12)

Living in the light of the person and promises of God gives us the ability to live with assurance for 4 reasons.1. Because of God’s record of promise keeping. (v. 11-15)2. Because God's character is unchanging. (v.16-17)3. Because God's promise is made to us. (v.19a)4. Because God's Son is representing us. (v.19b-20)

We can better understand and respond to Jesus as our Greater High Priest after answering these three questions:Question #1- Who was Melchisedec? (v.1-3; Genesis 13:8-11, 14:14-21)Question #2- What is the significance of Melchisedec’s titles? (v.2)Question #3- What is the significance of Melchisedec’s tithes? (v.3-10)

We can have hope in Jesus Christ as our Great High Priest by Understanding three aspects of His Priesthood.1. The Source of His Priesthood. (v.20-22)A. It was an Oath.B. It was made by God. 2. The Extent of His Priesthood. (v.23-25)A. It is Unchangeable.B. It is Unending.C. It saves Completely. 3. The Nature of His Priesthood. (v.26-28)A. He is like us in that He is Human.B. He is unlike us in that He is Perfect.C. He is the Sacrifice.D. He is Consecrated.

We can live with hope because of the changes that God made in the priesthood and the law based on two undeniable realities.1. The Imperfect Priesthood that cannot save.2. The Perfect Priesthood that does save.

We can live a life of incredible intimacy with God and victory from Him by living according to the truth that Christ is our better High Priest. He is the minister of a better tabernacle (v.1-5). He is the Mediator of a better testament. (v.6-13).

The tabernacle in the Old Testament shows ho much that Jesus is greater. We can see this in three observations described in Hebrews 9:1-14. The tabernacle in the Old Testament points us to the existence of the real dwelling of God.

People who are "in Christ" can have confidence about our eternal, spiritual, and heavenly inheritance because of two features of the New Testament. In Hebrews 9:15-23 we see how the New Testament, or the will, is mediated and validated.

We can see how Jesus Christ dealt with our sin by understanding the three appearing of Jesus Christ spoken about in Hebrews 9:24-28. First, in his present appearing He deals with sins power (v.24). Second, in his past appearing, He deals with sin's penalty (v.25-28). Lastly, in his future appearing, he deals with sin's presence (v.28).

You should trust in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for sin because it superior to the Old Covenant in these 2 ways. First, Jesus Christ’s sacrifice takes away sin. (v. 1-10). We have so many problems as a culture. What is the solution?
