Ep 165S2 Ep165: Not Enough Sense To Come In From The Rain
Not enough sense to come in out of the rain! ‘Tis the season for wet. April showers bring May flowers, right? So, do you play in the rain or just head to the 19th hole and wait for it to stop? What shots are most affected by wet grass. What adjustments do you need to make when putting in wet conditions? Jeff Smith, Top 100 Teacher, answers these questions and many others we didn’t even ask. Another fun, funny, and entertaining hour of Golf Talk with the Award Winning Podcast, Those Weekend Golf Guys. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 164S2 Ep164: Oh My Aching Back, How To Play This Year Without Pain
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys Podcast, Jeff Smith, A Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher, explains how to play this coming season with getting hurt! And it requires more than just stretching and warming up. There should be no static parts to your body. None at all. Everything should be moving together and in concert. Specifics on when and how to pivot, and what body part you have to use to avoid injury in this week’s episode. Listen now. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 163S2 Ep163: Don't Nobody Have Time For That
Don’t nobody have time for that! Not good English but an important element to take to heart. The downswing happens, from start to contact, in about a quarter of a second. That is not enough time to realize your alignment may be off, or the swing path not right or any problem. Not enough time to notice a problem and definitely not enough time to fix any problem. That is why the pre-shot routine is so important. It is the one thing that helps you swing without making mistakes, swing and make proper contact and swing to hit the best possible shot. Jeff describes in this episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys Podcast what makes the perfect pre-shot routine and explains how to make it happen the same way every time. And that is important! Also, today is the last day to vote in the Sports Podcast Awards. Please go to sportspodcastawards.com and look for category 9, Golf Podcasts and vote for us. Thanks. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 162S2 Ep162: What The Hell Did I Do Wrong
What the hell did I just do wrong? You think maybe you lifted your head up, but that’s not it really. You say “I pulled it”. But your club head was in the wrong position at contact. We don’t know what we don’t know. You can’t fix your mistakes until you know what mistakes you are making. Jeff explains the most usual mistakes we amateurs make and what causes those bad shots. So, now you can finally fix the damn things. Another fun, funny, entertaining and oh so educational edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 161S2 Ep161: Want To Improve? Don't Keep Score
Want to get better this year? No, really. Is this the year you are going to break whatever your number is? Here’s how: FORGET ABOUT THE NUMBER! During your rounds this season, don’t keep score. Instead keep track of the quality of your shots. Write down all your terrible shots, bad shots, OK shots, good shots, and great shots. Use the number of high quality shots to judge your game. Jeff explains exactly how to do this and why it will work wonders if you’re trying to improve your game. Want to enjoy yourself? Listen to this episode. Want to improve quickly? Listen to this episode and take some notes! Enjoy. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 160S2 Ep160: Coaching A Tour Player Or A double Digit Handicap
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys Jeff Smith talks about his trip out to Phoenix. One of his long time students, Tyler Duncan, was playing in the WM tournament at TPC Scottsdale and wanted a few last minute coaching tips from Jeff. So we talk about that and then the conversation turns to how different is it coaching a PGA Tour player as opposed to a double digit handicap player. It really isn’t all that different! So, if you’re a double digit handicap you should give a close listen to this week’s show and get a bit of a head start on this season. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 159S2 Ep159: You Need A Golf Simulator At Home
Is it time for your own golf simulator? Jeff has returned from the PGA Merchandise Show and regales us with the tales of all the cool stuff he saw. Some of which he bought! But, it seems technology has has progressed to the point where you can buy a golf simulator that could fit in your back yard or garage. And the cost makes it affordable finally for the average home owner. Lots of equipment that will shave strokes off your score if you practice but with this stuff you can practice golf at home effectively. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 158S2 Ep158: She Wants More Women Playing Golf
Dr. Greta Anderson is a former Tennis Coach who decided she wanted to be a Golf Coach too. When into her 30’s she decided to pursue a course that would get her to her goal of becoming a golf professional, she found a coach that believed in her and she worked hard until she had attained her goal and is now a certified PGA Professional Golf Instructor. Greta is on a mission to enlarge the pool of golfers by bringing more women and specifically, more women of color into the game. If we are going to grow the game we need to show the world golf is not a game played only by old white guys wearing funny pants. Check out drgretagolf [dot] com for her website and check out this phenomenal woman for yourself. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 157S2 Ep157: 9 Cents For A Better Swing
Get better using simple things you already have lying around the house! If you have 9 cents (nine pennies specifically) you can groove your swing. Have some ribbon? Have a smart phone? Then you can record your swing path in slow motion! And the things you can do with some rope will astound you. Jeff has some very cheap, very effective ways to improve your game this winter without spending any money. In fact, you won’t have to leave your garage! Another great, entertaining, informative and down right fun episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 156S2 Ep156: Should You Get Fit Before Lessons?
Should you get fitted for clubs before you start a series of lessons? It’s like which came first, the chicken or the egg type of thing. If you are using clubs that do not fit you, a teacher like Jeff could still improve your game but it might seem uncomfortable for you to produce some of the swings, grips, stances, etc. that would be necessary. If the clubs are fit to you, then everything would seem to be more easily ;earned like the stance, grip, etc. So, the question is: should you be fit before you take lessons. Abd the answer is (as it always is) That Depends! This is the same presentation Jeff is scheduled to make at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show next week in Orlando. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 155S2 Ep155: Headed South Again
Once again we turn our attention and our automobiles in a southerly direction. So much great golf to enjoy just a few hundred miles south of where we are to keep us busy until old man winter leaves us alone and it is safe to come back home again. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 154S2 Ep154: 2021's Most Popilar Episode

Ep 153S2 Ep153: Oh Boy, More wind
This week Those Weekend Golf Guys go back a few years to a most instructive, informative and down right entertaining discussion we had about wind. It’s getting to be Wintertime and with the cooler temps tend to come some wet and windy conditions. How do you adjust? Well, thanks for asking. This one hour will teach you everything you need to know about driving, hitting irons, chipping, and even putting in windy conditions. Ep 152S2 Ep152: Giving The Perfect Golf Gift
It’s time to find the perfect golf related Christmas gift for a loved one, or maybe a colleague. Our advice: First and foremost, DO NOT BUY A GOLF CLUB! But there are plenty of meaningful, useful, and thoughtful gift possibilities. This week Those Weekend Golf Guys give you three ideas. First, a nifty little doodad that you attach to your golf bag to dry your golf glove on those hot, humid, summer days when perspiration gets it all wet. Second, a new type of putter shaft that eliminates the vibrations that can ruin any putter’s aim. Barney Adams, formerly of Adams Golf, has developed it and describes it and talks about golf in general. And finally, Jeff Smith suggests giving Lessons as a gift. The whys and the wherefores that make this the perfect gift for the golfer will be explained on this week’s edition of Those weekend Golf Guys Podcast Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 151S2 Ep151: Top 100 Teacher E.A. Tischler Visits
This week we spend some more time with another of America’s Top 100 Golf Instructors, E.A. Tischler. E.A. is a co-founder of the BioSwing Dynamics and the author of 28 books on golf. E.A. has been the coach to numerous PGA Tour Players with students playing on almost every professional tour. He spends some time with us, Those weekend Golf Guys, talking how to get better at golf with his friend and fellow Top 100 teacher, Jeff Smith. John was just listening and taking copious notes. We suggest you might want to do the same. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 150S2 Ep150: Sara Stone Revisited
This week we feature an interview from a couple years back with Sara Stone, Top 100 teacher, friend of Jeff Smith, and all around great woman to know. She has an infectious laugh and an innate ability to make you better at golf. She relates some of the problems she sees over and over, some of the types of golfers that will never get a lesson from her, and the traits of people destined to become good golfers with just a little work. Another great fun, funny, and entertaining episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 149S2 Ep149: Shut Up I'm Trying To Play Golf Here
This week Those weekend Golf Guys tackle a few ticklish situations. First, are golfers really just big wimps who are afraid of noise? Every other athlete in the world does what they do in front of large numbers of screaming fans. Why do golfers always whine if someone is making noise? And then you have been told repeatedly to take your 3 wood out of your bag because you are a recreational golfer and don’t have a fast enough swing speed to make it work right. So, here are your choices: take it out OR listen to Jeff and Learn how to use it! Another great week of golf entertainment from Those Weekend Golf Guys Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 148S2 Ep148: Is Your Swing Fast Or Only Half Fast
What are the limits to swing speed? What makes it so most of us recreational golfers can’t seem to swing fast enough to impress anyone? Is there anything we can do to fix it? If there wasn’t, do you think I would have brought up the subject? Jeff talks speed. How fast can you go? Find out this week with Those Weekend Golf Guys. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 147S2 Ep147: Your Wedge Shots Suck - Here's Why
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys we talk about wedge shots. Why do we talk about the so much? Because they are the number one reason you can’t break 80. Your wedge shots suck. I mean you’re right there, just off the green in regulation so you chip or pitch or otherwise try to use a wedge to cozy the ball up to the hole but you skull it about 10 yards off the green or you stub it and send a chunk of dirt flying further than the ball. You swear a little, clean the mud of the wedge and try again this time getting it close enough to try that 20 footer for bogie. Maybe you should just write down a double on the score card and don’t become the entertainment for your playing partners. Jeff will fix it this week. Will you finally take his advice? And now for the good news, listen closely for your chance to win an entire barrel of Eagle Rare Bourbon and help raise money for the First Tee of Louisville. Another fun, funny, entertaining and og so educational edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Golf Talk Radio. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 146S2 Ep146: Swing Smooth Or Are You A Basher
So, are you a Smooth Swinger or Bob The Basher. Is one technique better than the other? Can you change from one to the other? All great questions. And all are answered in this week’s edition of Those weekend Golf Guys Radio Show. Jeff also puts on his Rules Official Hat and answers a listener’s question on when is a lie deemed unplayable and who can make that decision? The answer may astound you. Also, for many of us we’re looking at some cold weather coming. Do we take a hiatus from golf? Move indoors? Or just keep on keeping on? Some advice on Winter Golf this week. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 145S2 Ep145: Golf Needs More Of Them
We need more women to play golf. The ratio of men to women in golf is 88% to 12%, men to women. That is pretty lopsided if you ask us. This week we interview a woman who is typical of the women that are increasingly coming to golf as their first choice for recreation. Diane is 41, a mom, a wife, has her own business and has recently taken up golf. We talk with Diane about why she chose golf, how she likes it so far, and what her main challenges are.Her goal is to as soon as possible become good enough that she becomes a valued team member of any and all scramble teams. And speaking of scrambles, John and Jeff discuss the dangerous “this one’s closer” technique of choosing the ball to hit next and why that can get you into so much trouble. Do you want to score better at your next scramble? Then don’t pick the hard shots. Oh, and for more information on Diane, and trust us, you would really like more information, simply visit Southern Diane Marie on Youtube right here ; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8wHBms4rqqoRTFPAd_G-xA Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 144S2 Ep144: Exercises That Can Ruin Your Game
We all know we should get in better shape to play better golf. We have seen many different suggestions on-line and in magazines about workouts we could do that have been optimized for golf. This week we welcome Jeff Pelizzaro from 18Strong to the show. Jeff is an expert on exercise specifically to improve golf performance. He will tell us what to do and even more importantly WHAT NOT TO DO! Jeff claims there are many exercises (that have been recommended by the “experts”) that will do more harm to your game than good. As a bonus, here’s a short 5-7 minute routine to warm up either at home or at the course prior to your round for much better performance. https://18strong.com/efd Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 143S2 Ep143: Weight Difference And Spin. You Need To Know This
There is a caddie at The Pete Dye Course at French Lick who sent us a message that said: “…I love Jeff’s tips on how to play better. I have used some of them with the guys I caddie for up here. Makes me sound like a genius!” You, too, could be considered a genius if you just listened to some of Jeff’s tips and even play better if you used those tips! Like this week when Jeff explains how weight (not yours but the equipment you’re using) can effect your shots and then delves deeper into hot to get spin on the ball. You need this stuff. C’Mon, admit it! Your game will be better if you take these tips to heart, and maybe practice a time or two. Enjoy. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 142S2 Ep142: A Break 80 Challenge
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys Jeff Smith relates just how cool it was to be live, walking the grounds at Whistling Straights for this years’ Ryder Cup. And then we receive a challenge. The caddie that worked John’s group both times he has played at The Dye Course at French Lick Resort this year, Randy, left a challenge. He has heard John and Jeff talk about what it would take to break 80. Well, not only does Randy agree with Jeff’s advice, he wants it to happen at The Dye Course with Randy as the caddie. Some rewards, some little side bets, and some great laughs at the situation abound on this weeks’ episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 141S2 Ep141: Lose 6 Strokes By Tomorrow
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys we welcome in a former PGA Tour player, golf course owner, and professional club fitter, Jim ward. Jim is now the “titleist guy”. A good guy to know. We all talk about the basic mistakes most amateur, recreational golfers make and why they have trouble scoring well. So, John offers copious amounts of pizza for both Jim and Jeff Smith, if they can help him shave 6 stokes off his very next round. Well, they both take the challenge and assure us they can shave 6 strokes off John’s average score by his next round easily. And they can do the same for you. Listen how. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 140S2 Ep140: Will Connie Find Big Foot On The Golf Course?
Connie Willis is the host of her own streaming shows BLUE ROCK TALK, as well as the weekend host for the overnight mega-hit Coast To Coast on over 600 radio stations across the country. Connie loves to play golf. One of the reasons she loves to play golf is on the off chance she may just spot Big Foot out there in the woods of a golf course. No, really, Connie is into Big Foot, UFOs, Aliens, and things that go bump in the night. While she tries to convince Jeff Smith that Big Foot is real, he tries to convince her she can actually hit an iron in the air and doesn’t have to settle for worm burners, no mater how often she tries to convince herself she is just “keeping it under the wind”. Another fun, funny, and entertaining edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Podcast Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 139S2 Ep139: Putting elements - The Big 4
One hour with Those Weekend Golf Guys today and you will sink more putts the first time, guaranteed. Are you aware of the Big 4 Elements of Putting? First, Can You Aim? Second, Can You Control The Speed? And the other 2, even more important elements? Well you’ll just have to listen to find out. Another fun, funny, and entertaining edition of Those weekend Golf Guys Podcast with one of America’s Top 100 Golf Instructors, Jeff Smith, to show you yet another way to cut strokes from your very next round. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 138S2 Ep138: On Course Adjustments We Forget To Make
Those Weekend Golf Guys this week reminds us all about those on course adjustments we often time forget to make. You know, the time you forget to take a lower club when faced with an uphill lie because of the added loft. Or not adjusting your grip on the club while setting up to do a shot from a severe downhill lies. There are many, many reasons your basic set up and normal club selection will be all wrong. Make sure you listen closely this week to Jeff to remember when and where all of those are. Another fun, funny, and totally entertaining edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Golf Podcast Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 137S2 Ep137: Golf Math
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys the guys talk about golf travel and how to make it easier but the bulk of the show covers Golf Math. Yes, add ‘em up! Here’s the deal: you know you will have 18 tee shots. You know you will have 18 first putts. You know you will have 14 second shots and (probably) 4 third shots. 54 total before you even get on the course. How you score is what you do after those 54 shots you have to take. Jeff explains how to avoid IDIOT PENALTIES. Another fun, funny, and entertaining hour of Golf Talk Radio. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 136S2 Ep136: A Chamionship We All Can Enter
Brian Hammons was the lead Play-by-play guy for the Golf Channel for 15 years. All that time as he was covering Ryder Cups, Solheim Cups, and President’s Cup tournaments he always thought it would be lots of fun for us regular golfers to have a chance to play in tournaments like these. Well, now we do! Brian Hammons has created the Country Club National Championship to be played this fall at Disney World in Orlando. Listen to this week’s Those weekend Golf Guys show to hear all the details on how to enter. Also, Jeff Smith talks about “The Law Of The Stupid Lie” and how to survive it> Jeff also explains exactly how to find the perfect place to position your ball for a perfect hit every time! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 135S2 Ep135: What Is An Amateur
What Is An Amateur? In the days of Bobby Jones it was a golfer who did not compete for money. It was a golfer who played simply for the love of the game. Maybe they were great golfers, like Bobby Jones. Or maybe not great golfers like Linda Zender (she finished last in her club championship this year). Today, however, it seems that “Amateurs” are simply golfers who haven’t yet turned Pro! Is there any place(s) for the average amateur golfer to compete these days? We talk about all the ways even a high handicapper can compete and have fun with Amateur Golf. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 134S2 Ep134: Live From Prairie View with Wounded Warrior Project
This week Those Weekend Golf Guys are live from Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana for the Capital Golf Amateur Tour’s Wounded Warrior Classic. During this week’s show we talk to Jim Fuquay from Prairie View. He explains the course, the history. It’s a Robert Trent Jones design and is the home of the Indiana State High School championships every year. A great course. Then we talk to Luke Douglas, a Peer Partner with wounded Warrior Project who found golf after he, too, was wounded in Iraq. After his first three rounds he realized this was such a great game he joined his neighborhood club. Living in Evansville, Indian his home club is Victoria National! And of course, Jeff Smith, one of America’s Top 100 Golf Instructors is here with some sage advice. Especially if you’re playing a great course for the first time take 2 shots to get to the green and make them the 2 easiest shots you can manage. Rather than long and short or short then long make them easy then easy. Another fun, funny, entertaining golf talk radio show. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 132S2 Ep132: Let's Explore The Differences
We talk about differences on this week’s show. How different does Jeff feel about things now that he is officially one of America’s Top 100 teachers? We’ve all know for years how great Jeff is and are now damn glad the rest of the world is learning about him too. But, is there a difference between a teacher and a coach? Do you teach someone trying to become a Pro Golfer differently than someone wanting to break 80? Another fun, funny, and entertaining edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Podcast. Ep 130S2 Ep130: Mere Mortals Playing A Game Designed For Gods
Mere Mortals playing a game obviously designed by and for, gods. That’s what we have been doing this week. Playing golf with friends, old and new, at The French Lick Resort. We played a “tune-up” round on the resort’s Pete Dye Course. Ah, one full sleeve of balls later we walked off 18 thankful that it was over. You need to see some of the pics we posted at Facebook.com/golfguys to understand. There is no room to miss. The rough is not only thick, but the drop off from the fairway is sometimes as much as 50 feet. But it was great practice for playing in the Pro-Am of the Symetra Tour’s Donald Ross Classic being held at the Ross course at French Lick. This course is even tougher than the Dye course. Not a flat lie on the course! And the greens…don’t get me started on the greens. But we did play with a terrific golfer named Sophie Hausmann. She is from Germany, played her collegiate golf at Univ. of Idaho. Someday soon she’ll be a regular Sunday participant on the LPGA Tour. This edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Radio Show captures the spirit of the fun we had. Thanks again to all our friends at the French Lick Resort. Listen and enjoy. Ep 128S2 Ep128: It's The Little Things You Need To Check
It’s The Little Things That Make All The Difference. Not just the title of this week’s episode, but also one of the incontrovertible truths of Golf. A slight difference, we’re talking millimeters one way or the other with your feet, your grip, your clubface…anything really, can make a huge difference in the result of your shot. Jeff explains how to check to assure yourself there are no differences from swing to swing. Hey, this is some important stuff. Make sure you listen closely. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

Ep 127S2 Ep127: Meet The Artist And Win This Painting
This week on Those Weekend Golf Guys we want to introduce you to two very talented women you will be hearing a lot from in the near future. One is Ava Bunker. She is 13 years old. At the age of 5 she fell in love with golf. A few years later she decided it would be her life’s work. This year, not only has she won many Junior Tournaments but she also finished 13th in the Indiana State Women’s Amateur Championship. Competing among other young women, college players and older women who have been playing at a high level for years, she finished 13th! And when you stop to think about it, what else should she be doing for a living with the last name of “Bunker”? We also want to introduce you to Jema Anderson. She is an Artist specializing in Abstract Art. She watched the PGA Championship at The Ocean Course and was inspired by the beauty and the majesty that is that course on Kiawah Island. She created an abstract work that is her impression of the course. We want you to have it. Please go to our Facebook page, facebook.com/golfguys and enter the give-a-way. Lots of talent on display this week right here with Those Weekend Golf Guys. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Ep 126S2 Ep126: Practice For The Moment
Practice for the moment! That’s the advice Jeff Smith, the #1 golf instructor in the state of Indiana has on this week’s episode of Those Weekend Golf Guys. Oh sure, there will be plenty of funny and entertaining stories about John’s rather difficult round at a course called Purgatory but then Jeff gets serious with advice on how to practice for the moment. Remember when you were a kid shooting hoops in the driveway? It was always “no seconds on the clock and you have to sink the free throws to win”, wasn’t it Or when you were taking batting practice and it was bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, bases loaded and down by 3 runs. As kids we knew enough to put ourselves, mentally, in pressure positions when we practice. Jeff has many ideas on how to do that now with your golf range time. We give you some ideas on some games to use to add some elements of pressure to your practice. Set up scenarios that are more difficult than normal. Try to create scenarios you might see on the course. Practice for the moment. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On this week’s show Those Weekend Golf Guys talk about their fantastic trip up to Grand Harbor Michigan for the Grand Opening Celebration of the American Dunes Golf Club. American Dunes is owned and operated by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney from Folds of Honor and was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. The trip was fun and the course was amazing. The greens were running fast (14 on the meter) and the wind was blowing (20-25 mph). The course has lots of sand which the guys found to be a bit problematic and the wind actually blew the ball off course on the greens. So, Jeff is giving tips this week on playing from sand (not greenside bunkers), putting on slick greens in a heavy wind, and all the other necessary talents you will need to play a course like American Dunes.
