Ep 23582358: Tungsten to $1 million/t?
The tungsten price has been roaring away lately, and has recently hit $300,000/t. It's the perfect time to be bringing tungsten projects on stream, and Pure Tungsten has not one but two projects on the go. The first, in South Korea, should be up and running by the summer, while the second, in Tajikistan will be producing within a year. These projects will then scale up, to the point where Pure Tungsten could well end up challenging established players like Almonty. The mines are big, the grade is good, and the price is right. Pure Tungsten executive director Jeremy Gray joins Vox to tell us more.Pre-IPO Investment Opportunity: https://www.puretungsten.ca/puretungsten-equity-raise-rn?SQF_LEAD_SOURCE=vx

Ep 23572357: Tharisa intiates 60-year underground mining plan
Tharisa has begun underground operations at its South African platinum group metals and chrome mine. The first underground blast took place this week, and development is now underway. Phoevos Pourolis, Tharisa's chief executive, joins us to tell us more about the underground development, as well as to talk about sentiment around PGMs and chrome, and the new chrome trading facilities that the company has recently put in place.

Accordingly, testing will now get underway shortly after Easter with a view to assessing flow rates, and moving the existing resource, as verified by Sproule, towards a reserve. Quantum Helium's chief executive Howard McLaughlin joins us to fill in the details

Ep 23452345: Great Western ramps up tungsten exploration
Great Western Mining recently extended the extent of its tungsten holdings around its Defender-Pine Crow project in Nevada. The additional claims were staked on the basis of their geological potential, and also to create a buffer zone against rival staking. The plan now is to get on the ground and initiate field work, with a view to getting the drill rigs turning sometime in July. A potential resource would then follow. Ed Loye, Great Western's chief executive, joins Vox to tell us more.

Harena Rare Earths has signed an exclusivity agreement in regard to a suite of US rare earths and uranium assets in San Bernadino County, California. This part of California is well-known for mining, and the assets in question are not far away from the US's only producing rare earths mine, owned by MP Materials and well-supported by the US government. Ep 23352335: Rome Resources acquires new Canadian ground
Rome Resources is acquiring extensive new acreage in New Brunswick in an area known to be prospective, but which has had very little work done on it in the modern era. Some historic samples show tin grading up to around 1.4%. The geology looks encouraging, according to Rome's chief executive Paul Barrett. He emphasizes that Rome's main focus will remain on its assets in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where drilling is ongoing and a new resource is expected in the coming months. Nevertheless, this new ground points to a longer-term trajectory for the company, and indicates where its focus might end up if a transaction takes place on the DRC assets
Ep 23342334: Mining Matters: This commodity cycle will be bigger than 2002-2007
Watch on YoutubeMark Thompson is an experienced mining investor and commodities trader who formerly worked with Trafigura and is now heading up VSA Capital as non-executive chairman and Tamar Minerals as chief executive. He also recently took a 20% stake in VSA, as he explains in this wide-ranging conversation, because he is bullish that the London mining scene is poised to make a comeback. Part of that call also involves the recent listing of Tamar Minerals in London, a company which has legacy assets in Australia, but which will now focus on assets in Cornwall and Devon. Mark tells us why the opportunity at the Wheal Vor project is so compelling, and discusses just how much tin there might still be left in Cornwall. Is a bull market underway? - yes, but not all commodities are equal. Mark ends the chat talking up tungsten.
Ep 23332333: Great Western's new CEO Ed Loye, lays out his vision for the future
Watch on YouTubeGreat Western Mining #GWMO has just appointed Ed Loye as chief executive. A recent raise of more than £3 million has given him an ample warchest with which to get down to work on the company's suite of exploration assets in Nevada. Top of the agenda is to work up the tungsten opportunity at Defender, itself part of a large skarn which links to the company's existing copper resource at M2, a couple of kilometres away. Drilling is planned in the summer, and there will likely be plenty of newsflow in the run up to that work

Quantum Helium's chief executive Howard McLaughlin joins us to tell us what happens next.
Ep 23312331: Significant resource update at Blencowe's Orom-Cross graphite project
Watch on YouTube Blencowe has announced the addition of a JORC resource for the Iyan deposit at its Orom-Cross graphite project in Uganda. The total resource at the project now stands at 43 million tonnes of ore, with only 2% of the surface area of the licence drilled. The company will also be releasing further drill results from the Beehive deposits in due course, and these will lead on to a further resource upgrade. Will Orom-Cross go through the magic 50 million tonnes mark? It's a number that chief executive Mike Ralston floats without hesitation as he sits down to walk us through the implications of the latest results, and to tell us what happens next.
Ep 23302330: Chancery Royalty expands as gold market continues to run hotter than ever
Watch on YouTubeFor more information you can contact Chancery Royalty HEREChancery Royalty's chief executive Jeremy Gray joins Vox as the company undertakes a new funding round in one of the hottest gold markets the world has ever seen. Chancery already has four major precious metals royalties in its portfolio, and recently acquired a fifth smaller one on an exploration company with huge upside. New transactions are also on the cards, and a potential listing, probably in Canada, but maybe in London is also on the cards. Will Chancery become bigger than Elemental-Altus? - that's certainly the aim, and the company is not shy about saying it
